It could also be the genetics, and I will say that he is a genetic abnormally because even at his age, he is not slowing down just like the rest of the players and as if he is still in his prime and no one can even get close to the records that he has put. For $1 million? yeah it really pays off, he can spend that big money on his body as he is one of the highest paid athlete in the NBA today. And probably even in off season, he still take care of his body unlike others let's say his contemporary in Carmelo Anthony, so is not known to go in the gym but just rely on this pure talent. But we've seen that his game deteriorated when he is no longer in his prime.

Yes he is gifted but at the same time he is also very discipline, that's the reason why despite of his age he is still dominant. For a superstar that has a lot of money to spend on things, he knows how to manage his finances, as other irresponsible stars might just abuse their body like partying with friends and spending their money to enjoy life.

Lebron is quite differnet, he is an inspiration to aspiring players that in this kind of sports, even if a player is aging, as long as they know how to take care of their body, they can still play and be paid with a decent salary.

I do not think that he is currently having any plans to actually retire as well. You know he has a lot more time to play, and definitely he is also going to play pretty well during that period.
Even if he plays as a bench player, he will still do well. And yes there is no shame in that. As long as he is not a burden on his team and is actually helping his team, he is always going to be useful.

Since he is making history at that age, he will probably stretch more of his records so that the next generations will gonna be having a hard time breaking them and as we can see, he seems not getting old due to the continued maintenance of his body well since he is taking it seriously by paying huge amount of money just to get the proper exercise and diet to play effectively on the court even at that age. If he can just win one more championship in his last years in the NBA, the GOAT debate will probably close there but at this rate, he is struggling to get that one and the other players on different teams are improving as well which makes his road to another championship dark.

Whatever happens, the goat debate is always going to be there. It almost does not matter what he does. And the goat debate is going to change in every generation. People of the previous generation talked about Kobe Bryant being the goat, people of these generation are going to talk about him, and in the next generation, it might be someone else. What matters is leaving a legacy.

No wonder why he reached billions. LeBron is an intelligent guy on and off the court. Investing so much to preserve your body and endure longevity and excellent durability is not something very common to any NBA player. I guess longevity and durability is way too underrated when we discuss about great athletes.
Now, regarding the GOAT debate? I don't see any point where it ends at least in this current generation. Even if LeBron will win 1, 2 or 3 more championships, that doesn't gonna end the debate because people all has different opinion, perspective, and preferences. For some people, they considered LeBron have already surpassed what Jordan have achieved except for the number of championship won. But then again, a championship is a team effort, GOAT debate is supposed to be an individual achievement, influence, and impact to the game. All I can say is that, it is safer to say that each NBA fan has their own GOAT.

Yes agreed, LeBron James is definitely an interesting person. But I do not think he will actually be able to end the goat debate. He is definitely going to be one of the best, if not the best. But you know, a lot of people are going to not agree that he's the goat. And I don't think at the end of the day it is just personal opinion. It does not and probably should not matter that much to be honest.

-snip

The funny fact is that Lebron's average stats this regular season aren't much different from the stats he had 10 or 15 seasons ago. In other words, 39-year-old Lebron is still the leader of the team, and I don't think we will ever see Lebron as a bench player.
Honestly, I don't remember any 39-year-old player in NBA history who could perform like LeBron is now.

Well, credit goes to him for keeping his body so fit. And I believe he is still able to play really well. He is someone that is really old as well. But he's still performing well. Now, how long is he going to be able to perform like this? That is another question. I don't think he will be able to perform like this for much longer to be honest. But the point is, he is still performing well at 39 years old. That is impressive enough in itself

He invest and he's harvesting everything now, that amount that he use for paying his health is far from what he's getting now, once in a lifetime kind of an animal who played the game, at his age and still having that kind of capabilities, still can beat anyone if he'll push his way  and try to make a score, it's something that this industry will really treasure and if not all for sure most will give credit to this man.

I agree to that, discipline is the best definition of what he did to take care of his career and he really use that to continue his good career up to know, recieving huge amount of money though not that same level but he's name still up there and commercials and ads can still help the team to bring good benefits.

There are a lot of indiscipline star players that have not lasted their career in the NBA, but LeBron, you'll never hear news that he came partying and making some noise on social media. Instead, he focuses on helping people, building gyms and schools for the kids, so that alone shows how matured he is and kind in thinking of a way to give back to the community.

LeBron may not become a GOAT in the NBA as he always has a lot of haters, but we can't argue that he'll always be remembered as one of the greats once he retires. You see, LeBron is already 39 years old, but if you look at his last 10 seasons in the NBA, his PPG average has never dropped to 25 below.

It's Dame time, I didn't bet on that game, but watching from the sideline and I'm thinking that at anytime, Dame might explode and shows proof that he can still carry a team in his back. Like in this case, without Giannis he needs to step up and that's what happen here. So no more coach Rivers critics now, they are all hiding as he proved that he still has it and now giving the Bucks that winning streak and the management are happy on the results of getting Doc Rivers for them.

Bad sign for the Clippers though, without Giannis this could be an easy win for them. And they almost did it, but they just collapsed on the 4th quarter and can't find the basket while the Bucks are having their own run.

Russell carried the load for the Lakers tonight but Anthony Davis and LeBron James both did their part on the boards to help get the win.

Dame scored a lot but could’ve been more efficient. I think the big story of that Bucks win comes from Kawhi Leonard having a rare off night on the court.

I talked Anthony Davis was actually more incredible. He only got two points less than Russell and he also had 12 rebounds. And LeBron James also had 11 rebounds. That was really impressive. And I believe team worked really well.

In the second and third quarters, the Lakers were able to get a good lead. And after that, they did not have to look back. It was quite an easy win in the end for them.

In the next game, the Lakers will face the Sacramento Kings. I am expecting a good performance from the Lakers in that game as well.

.

Tonight we’re getting what may be a preview of the Western Conference Finals with the Phoenix Suns taking on the Denver Nuggets. As a nice little bonus the game will be airing on TNT so we can get a chance to watch it. The Celtics and Cavaliers are the earlier game on TNT tonight, but that one is a pass for me.

Can I ask what your basis is for why you considering the Suns as the team that will be in the Conference Finals? I mean why not Timberwolves? Or the Thunder? They might be a young team especially the Thunder, but IMO, the Timberwolves have the potential as well though I'm not rooting for them to win in the West. With these young teams being at the top, it's hard to pick which team will win in the West now. At least in the East, we have a clear pick on which team might end up in the NBA Finals.

Speaking of Celtics-Cavaliers, the Celtics are the hottest team have the best record right now in the league, and are currently on a winning streak. They just destroying every single team that they are facing. They are 19-9 on the road, and I might watch this one, and thinking of betting on them as well.

I'm not a fan of him nor a hater, but I agree with you that LeBron will be remembered as one of the best NBA players we have ever seen in the league.
His accolades are just enough for him to be in the HOF soon. His achievements are some achievements that other players might be having a hard time breaking or they might not even break TBH, especially the point record. He's playing very impressive for a 39-year-old star. I wonder how he can keep himself in shape despite his age. I just hope that he will stay with the league even more, probably at least 2-3 years before he retires.

In my defense I said what “may” be the western conference finals matchup. I’d agree that the Timberwolves have just as good or better of a shot to make it. Definitely not OKC though, they’re a first round exit.

Check out this highlight from the Jazz vs Wizards game yesterday. Probably the best play of the year so far.

I think there is some sort of genetics involved as much as him investing into his body as well. I think it is the most important part of his career as well. I remember that at one point (maybe 10 years ago) it was told that he was spending a million dollars a year on his body alone, for recovery when he pushes it, and that was so long ago, he must be spending a lot more right now. This dude takes care of himself like nobody has ever done in sports world, aside from maybe Ronaldo.

This is why he is still capable of being a great player. At this point, I am looking at Lakers and I can say that they are getting much better and that could mean that in a playoff structure, they may actually go further than people think they could.

That's debatable though if Warriors dynasty is over, but then again, 2 seasons ago, lots of their critics like Perks says that they are done, but they proved them wrong by winning the NBA championship again. Those are the days that Jordan Poole become the 2nd or 3rd best option for them and Wiggins mindset is winning. He even made the All Star that time.

But today's team are different, and obviously the are getting older, Poole is no longer with them, Klay is inconsistent, Wiggins missing in action. And Draymond started to show some mental issues. But let's see, it hard to totally to write off a organization that has the championship DNA.
I believe the Warriors decline began when Durant left the team. Of course, GSW was still a good team, but year after year it was clearly weakening, which is becoming more noticeable nowadays.
I imagine... in 2021/2022 the Warriors had an acceptable season, finishing 3rdin the regular season, I would imagine the Celtics or Heat would be champions, but that didn't happen, anyway, I think in 21/22 it was an exception of the Warriors won that championship, but it was the team's credit.
In my opinion, I think it is practically impossible for the Warriors to be champions this season without carrying out a major reformulation of the team.

I have no doubt that these will be interesting games to watch, especially Cavs vs Celtics.
Even though Cleveland is having a great season, it will be very difficult to stop Boston, who is 19-9 on the road, as previously mentioned.

Lebron is a freak of nature let's be real.  Most everyone else at his age in the NBA is well on the downside of theor career and Bron still looks the part in terms of being able to take over a game whenever he feels like it.  I'm sure there is a lot of work involved but put someone else with the same regimen and they won't be able to sustain a career like he does.  Dude is a freak.

What a comeback by the Cavs against the league best Celtics!!!
Down 22 points in the final quarter and then going from 71:93 to 103:99, that's actually insane!

At betfair or some site where you can get super high odds I think odds of 500:1 or even more must have been sold, at least a bit.

Well, never give up is kinda fitting here. Just WOW.

He reportedly spends 1.5 million for his physical fitness that's why he last long on the league source came here https://www.businessinsider.com/how-lebron-james-spends-money-body-care-2018-7

For that investment for his self I can say that it pays off everything. Imagine those players who's same with his age are now retired or cannot play good basketball that's why its really amazing to see Lebron still performing so well despite of his age. We won't really see another same like talent with Lebron since he is one of the kind. And so rare to see that even the current greatest player no one have the same potential to last that long that also perform so well despite of his age.

Even though LeBron spends a lot of money on his body there, it doesn't save him from the injuries he periodically gets. Honestly, I think the reason why LeBron still performs well is not only because he pays a lot of attention to his physical fitness but also because he is still motivated to play basketball. This is surprising because many other NBA players start to lose their motivation as early as age 32-35, and their stats gradually fade after that.

Damn, lucky for those who have bet on the Cavs to win against the super team Boston Celtics. And it's better if you got it on live betting, for sure that odds could be astronomical like 500:1. Cavs won the game already and beat the Celtics, didn't see the game, but it was really insane and for sure the fans get what they wanted here to upset the Celtics. What more painful is that they did it without Donovan Mitchell. And also snapping Boston's 11 game winning streak. When you really thought that Boston could established a new winning record specially on how they dominated the Warriors in their last game, now they've lost by just 1 point as the Cavs closed the 4th quarter by 34-17 score.

Of course mate, everyone is motivate to play basketball and make a lot of money from it. But if you are not built for it or your body is not going to hold up, then that motivation is going out of the window. And even if you started good, but then something broke down inside of you, maybe because you didn't take care of your body, then you also can't do anything.

Those who are not motivated at that age, could be that they don't have playing time or they are not really that good to be in the NBA, in my opinion. But James is really different from the rest and all of his peers in his rookie draft class has retired already.

Alperen Sengun just put up numbers that no center in history has done before against Wemby. At the same time he held Wemby to 10 points. Every once in a while somebody really exposes Wemby for being young and thin. Tonight was one of those nights. Wemby is still having a hell of a year though and my pick for rookie of the year.

Just WOW.

Yeah! crazy turnaround and the rally was led by someone who's everyone is not expecting, Dean Wade turned into D-Wade as the NBA announcer described it lol. It took him a lot of confidence shooting those 3s in the 4th and lucky he was feeling it, that's what Dean Wade told the media in the post game interview. Well, I hope nothing but for him to be consistent and earn more minutes. The Cavs might gonna use his ability on the coming games moving forward.
With that kind of odds, there might be a lot of people who put a bet on the Cavs since this team isn't a bad team this season sitting at the 3rd spot in the East, and these people might be overwhelmed by the outcome today. No words to express how lucky these people are, but WOW!

Celtics won't forget Dean Wade,  Grin. They are on the roll early, and just like what they did to the previous champion Warriors, they put on a offensive barrage. However, the Cavs are on a different mindset, brother Kelce's are watching and so they have to do something about this game and turn it around.

So the Celtics next opponent is the Nuggets. I think this is going to be a very close match, both are coming from a L. And they want to maintain their record specially the Nuggets who are fighting to the best record in the West. While the Celtics will have to move forward and start a new winning streak.

Alperen Sengun said it himself actually: He said Wemby is too tall but not strong yet. He was able to use his shoulders and got around Wemby. And when Spurs didn't double team him, he could score this great. This season, opponents of Rockets usually double teams Alperen Sengun but Popovich chose not to do that and paid for this mistake handsomely. Wemby could block couple of his shots but Alperen was much better overall. And Alperen is still so young. Only 21 years and 220 days. He is actually almost 2 months younger than Chet Holmgren.

Exactly, as much as Sengun is still very young as well, but he has a moved that he really developed just for himself whether in the post, or going in the basket. He also loves to go to his left and that's why he is sometimes hard to stop if there are no double teaming like what the Spurs do here.

Rookie of the year is very close between the two, Chet's team is doing good and he had good numbers are well in the first half of the season. But there was a game between the two that Wemby won and this might struck for those who are going to vote for this years ROTY award that can sway on the favor of Wemby. Checking at the odds, currently at 1.02 and Chet 17.00. Wow I though that is close though.
