The west does seem like more the wildcard at this point.  The east seems like it's relegated to either Boston or the Bucks.  I really can't see anyone else truly challenging.  Sixers are interesting because embid can straight dominate but injuries.  But 1-10 in the west it feels like such a coin toss.  Gonna be a good playoffs out west this year.

Yes, if only Joel didn't get injured, it will be a good competition as well in the West, Boston, the Bucks and the Sixers trying to fight for the top spot. But it seems that Boston is taking it already, they are ahead by big margin and the Bucks losing tonight against the Warriors to also snap their winning streak after the all star break.

And with that huge win by the Warriors, they are still in the playoff fight or at least play-in. But it's not that  big difference in total wins in the West as everything can change in a month as who will make it straight right in the playoffs.

As usual, it's going to be Bucks, Celtics and Heat who are likely gonna make it to the semi or ECF.  Heat is still underrated until now as they haven't change a lot, but as we can see, they are still the same team that could beat any team in the NBA, even the Celtics. So as the playoffs is approaching, teams like the Miami Heat are going to take it more seriously so they will not miss the opportunity.

I can't wait to see a possible match up between Max Strus and his former team, this should be fun.

Butler vs Mitchell, a showdown of star players, although Mitchell has the edge in terms of atleticism but Butler's experience is going to be a  big factor on the success of the Miami Heat.

Max Strus vs JJJ. That's going to be an epic battle as this rookie JJJ has been playing like an experience NBA player this season. When Jimmy was out, the was the one who really stepped up, and now that they are complete and they have been playing with great chemistry, there's no more question anymore if they can upset teams in the upper ranking.

Miami Heat is currently in the number 6 in the East, they are safe at this level as they don't need to be in the play-in tournament. It's also very impressive as they won 8 of their last 10 games.

The young talented players of the Texas teams (Rockets & Spurs) Victor Wembanyama and Alperen Sengun really need support next season or build around them if they want to transform their own team into serious contender. These players are in dire need of play makers. Their current teams performance is not sufficient to secure playoff spot this season. Maybe the Rockets or Spurs can sign Trae Young next season as Trae is from Texas. Lol or the Spurs could bring back Dejounte Murray. What do you guys think?

Looks like we may possibly have a preview of the NBA Finals tonight as the Denver Nuggets face off against the Boston Celtics on national TV. Luckily this one will be on TNT so we can have a chance to watch. Sure, Denver is number 3 in the west right now, but they’re the defending champs. Denver hasn’t been playing great lately though, so I think Boston might take this one.

Alperen is really showing the world that they can do a lot more, and the fact that they ended up losing when he played like that shows that Rockets have so much to improve. Right now they are not playing with any decent system, Ime is trying his best I am sure, but he is trusting wrong players.

Alperen is like the best player in that team and he still doesn't get the ball in most of the possessions, he has to end up creating his own shots and that's not good. Being able to shoot the ball a lot, and being fed the ball is not the same, other players are all looking to create their own shots one way or another, plenty of games where he ended up not even being in top three for most field goals, because if he doesn't create his own shots, others don't pass him nearly enough.

Their games will change in the Playoffs and that's for sure this is likely the most important game for both teams since they gonna play as if they are in the NBA finals to test their possible opponent in the NBA finals and anything they can gather here is more crucial than their other games. Denver hasn't been showing any decline that caused them to get off the playoff tree and that should be enough for the other teams to take heed of since they don't really have someone to stop Jokic when he plays seriously just like how they managed to sweep the Lakers last year.

Shams is reporting that Ben Simmons has now been deactivated for the rest of the season. He had a few flashes of his old self this year but went right back on the disabled list in no time. I think he’s just not wanting to be an NBA player anymore. I wouldn’t give him another contract. His trade to the Nets might be the worst trade of all time.

sad defeat for the lakers, they started very well in the first period, they managed to score 37 points while their opponent scored 28 points and with that the lakers won in the first period and I thought it would be a comfortable victory that they could get in that game. But strangely, in the second period they only managed to score 20 points and their opponent scored 44 points, it was a massacre. The opponent's defense was perfect and their attack was very effective, while the Lakers' attack was unrecognizable, they failed to score even more than 20 points. in the third period the lakers managed to recover and scored 35 points and conceded 32 points, as a result the lakers won the third period, but won with a small difference in points

This difference already forced the Lakers to score a lot of points in the last period, but the Lakers in the last period won with just a difference of just 2 points and lost the game with a difference of 10 points, all because in the second period they lost with a difference of 20 points. . a single period dictated the final result of the game, I think the lakers coach must have been frustrated with the direction this game took, they were doing well in the first period and fell a lot in the second period to the point where the opponent managed to score 44 points , it was very difficult for them to reverse such a big disadvantage, in the end they lost

Yeah, TNT. I will definitely watch this later.

They are okay, it's the defense that is lacking and the bench power. Then in their past games, it was Michael Porter Jr. that is missing in action, but now he is back to his own self again. Last time he made 10/10 field goals against the Lakers and in the game against the Suns he scored 20 points. He is getting there, getting the confidence back after being criticized as an inconsistent player. Those back surgeries did affect him pretty much.

And in their battle against the Suns, the Nuggets somehow found a way to get back from a 22 point lead deficit. That's big, although they ended up losing in overtime.
They need Jokic to start hot, either in making an assist or in dominating the paint. Jamal Murray is playing like playoff Murray again so the Nuggets just need more of the push in defense so they can get stops. Also, the bench should step up their game like what Peyton Watson is doing on the defensive end averaging 1 block per game.

This will be fun to watch. Who will D Jokic? I am betting for his props here.

I agree to that as Boston really dominated the East side and they've got a huge margin from the 2nd spot, if only Embiid didn't suffer from that injury it might be another team aside from the Bucks who can tailed the dominance of Boston but regular season is not the important part of the league it's the playoffs and we know that the East defending champs always got something to excite the fans, especially now that they are forming new sets of skills stars, I think they can still bring that winning mentality.

Looks like we may possibly have a preview of the NBA Finals tonight as the Denver Nuggets face off against the Boston Celtics on national TV.

A preview of a possible NBA finals, if both teams will continue to domnate both sides of the league, though it's still in a regular season I hope pride will be there on both teams, I like all the stars to comes out and bring everything here, not sure why Denver is a slight favorite here, seems interesting to place a bet for x2 odd. Good luck!

Sad to see him fall like this while he have promising career, but it seems he just totally lost his interest to play competitive basketball that's why he's performance drop so bad. So I would agree that much better for Nets to find another reliable player since if they keep Simmons on their line up for sure their team will not advance to whatever goals they want to achieve since they have heavy baggage in their roster. Its time for rebuild and get those quality roster that can help their organization to get  more wins.

I think it's a good call keeping him out of rotation and relying mainly on Mikal Bridges as the leader of this team. Many players have figured out Ben's game a long time ago and he's probably one of the few players who refused to evolve and improve as he ages. I doubt he has anything to add to the team that the younger players can learn from.

Report says that it has something to do with his back. But I do agree, I think Ben doesn't want to play anymore, or if he ever plays doesn't give up 100% unlike when he was still in Philly wherein he was even compared to Lebron with his height and passing ability.

I think no team right now will get Simmons because of his history. Or if ever a team is willing to trade him, perhaps they are on losing side and just wanted to get their players out because of poor performance.

He is still young but it looks like his career has ended early. It started with his attitude towards his team, now this health issue has come. NBA has a lot of potential players to rise, so they will not chase for him. Simmons will have to evaluate himself if he still wants to continue by getting s smaller contract, and on how he could rise from their because literally, his name is already out in the discussion of a star players where he was once.

It's more of Simmons pride, while others wanted to be in the NBA or in the NBA already but got injured. While him he takes advantage of it, but just decided to quit with his issues with Sixers and he make it personal. Now he has to suffer the consequences, competition are very tough in the NBA every year there are players drafted to take your position. And I do agree that it's more on a mental issues with Ben. Yeah he seems to be back when he played some games with the Nets, but you can still see glimpse of his previous performance. But he is not like what he used to be. And now with another injuries being reported again, another season ending, there are a big chance that the Nets might want to get rid of him and his contracts.

There are players with a similar strategy like him but they were able to get back to the NBA and played in a good team. Remember that Harden also have some issue with the Sixers president so he got traded and now with the Clippers building a championship team. It's just unfortunate for Simmons since his injury problem and mental issue work together against him, so now at the early stage of his career, it seems like he is already losing his career.

If that will happen, it means goodbye NBA and he'll explore options with other leagues.

Dallas looks to end their losing streak tonight. Luka is leading the Mavs and now leading 7 points, another triple double for Luka and great job for Exum here. Looks like Dallas are now going to be back on the winning column, just right on time as the playoffs is approaching.

Great game by Rozier as well, this is probably his best game as a Heat.

Well, this guy has ruined his own NBA career. I think it became obvious for many people after that 76ers incident. The problem for the Nets management right now is that Simmons' huge contract runs through next season($40 mln). As far as I know, they can either trade Simmons during the offseason or buy out his contract.

The Simmons news was one thing… Shams also reported that Karl Anthony Towns is out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. Horrible news for the Minnesota Timberwolves who have been looking like this might be their best chance at winning a championship since the days of Kevin Garnett. Sad news…

2 words for Simmons. "Nobody cares"
What the NBA fans will remember when it comes to him will be: 1. How he is hyping himself on Instagram posting "I'm ready" type of posts at the start of the season only to sit out for most of the regular season. 2. How he choked when he was still in Philadelphia and the infamous wide-open dunk, but he chose to pass it to another player.

I might remember the times when he was making those flashy passes back when he was still in Philly, and TBH he might be one of the most dominating PGs right now just because of his height if only he developed skills including shooting from the three-point line, perimeter shooting, and free throw shooting. Unfortunately, he didn't develop that skills hence, his NBA career is ruined forever. After this contract that he got, he will go back to his country and might play there, or choose to play overseas.

Shams also reported that Karl Anthony Towns is out for the rest of the season with a torn meniscus. Horrible news for the Minnesota Timberwolves who have been looking like this might be their best chance at winning a championship since the days of Kevin Garnett. Sad news…
Horrible news indeed, but the Timberwolves might still be ok even though Towns is injured.

This is the reason why they re-signed Naz Reid to a multi-year deal. They needed a backup when things like this happened, and it happened so they will give more time to Reid for sure. Kind of unfortunate that KAT got injured, but this is the time for Reid to showcase himself "again" as he will be given more minutes. For me, he's one of the best role-player bigs out there, and he can give you an average of maybe 8-10 PPG and around 5 RPG, a good defender, and can stretch the defense with his ability to shoot threes as well.

Reid might not be as dominant as Towns in terms of offense, but he can still be a big help for the team. As for the Timberwolves and their playoff run, as you said, I don't know if they will be a good playoff team without KAT because losing a player who can score an average of 20 PPG every night is kind of demoralizing. They still got ANT though, and other role players must step up on offense on the playoffs.
