I don't think that Joel Embiid will be even back in the playoff if ever the Sixers made it. So this might be also a season ending for the Sixers. Although they can extend it and go to the playoff and used it as a experienced for them, but I think they have surrendered already to that fact that without their leader, they will be having a hard time against the East.

The 76ers are currently in eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings, meaning they still have a chance to make the play-in tournament and maybe the playoffs. The 76ers need to at least maintain their current spot in the standings, as there are optimistic rumors that Embiid could return in late March or early April.

Celtics are definitely looking like a great team, there is no doubt about that and in fact I think they are showing that Ime Udoka wasn't the reason why they won so much, it's clear that they are doing fine without him too. But this is the regular season, the point is that teams could do well at regular season and not so well during playoffs, or the teams could do terrible at regular season and barely got it working, that is just how it has been all the time.

I feel like it is going to be a bit of trouble for Celtics and should not be all that easy, we could end up seeing them not do that well at playoffs. I am not saying they will, I am just saying that it is one of the possibilities that they should be careful about anyway.

They are playing the system that was orginated by Brad Stevens, the coaches are just guided as the current coach is already the 2nd coach for Celtics afer Brad Stevens got promoted to become the president of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Stevens).

However, like in the past, they seemed to struggle in getting the championship, the longest they reach was when they reach the NBA Finals but the experience Warriors beat them.

I can see that they have the best chance this season. I think we will be seeing the defending champion (Denver Nuggets) vs the Boston Celtics, and it will become an interesting NBA Finals as there will be a game 7 on this. That's my vision this year, so hopefully it will happen and Miami Heat will not upset them again. It's a differenet squad for Miami since some role players were sign by other teams but they are still very dangerous as the starting players and their coach are still here, the heat culture is going to be emphasize again in the playoffs.

They showed a really great performance this season. I'm very curious about what they can do in the playoffs, maybe they can become this season's champion. They haven't had a season as good as this one in a long time.
Actually, I don't think they are the team with the best squad, but they managed to achieve great success in the matches Smiley

We have already witnessed countless times where a team had outstanding performance in a regular season while on the other hand, when it comes to playoffs, they struggled and can't seem to find their rhythms just like how they played before. Let's just hope it won't be the case for the Celtics because we all know that chances to get the best spot and to have such great play in a season are rare and they need to be consistent until the end and they need to reach the NBA finals with it and win the championship because if not, they might gonna change their rosters and they will surely sink after that.

Regular season and playoff performances may differ from each other. We have seen many teams that were very successful in the regular season but were eliminated in the first or second round of the playoffs. Similarly, there may be teams that advance to the conference finals even though they are not very successful in the regular season.
I'm very curious to see how Tatum and Brown's playoff performances will be. We can watch it in the finals with good team play

Regular season and playoff performances may differ from each other.
Big difference actually as it's hard to predict who will be the NBA champions. Usually, teams with experience have an upper hand in the playoffs.

They excited early last season, do some changes in the team by getting holiday and KP, and obviously they are better compared to last season. But you now, the playoffs are different so they have to prepare for it as they need a real leader that could be good during clutch times, not choked.

Celtics are gonna end at the number 1 spot for sure, so they'll face the top 8... if Miami Heat will be at 8, then we have a series. It cannot be denied that bookies will make them as heavy favorites but Miami Heat had proved things many times, so personally I'm gonna bet against them when that happens.

Wemby talking big about being a future DPOY winner recently but he has a long way to go. I've seen how Jokic just bulldozing his way to the paint against Wemby's thin body hehe.

I don't think that Joel Embiid will be even back in the playoff if ever the Sixers made it. So this might be also a season ending for the Sixers. I think it's better to just let him recover fully for the rest of the season even if the team make it to the play in tournament. I doubt they will go far anyway so just let the young ones experience it.

Yes, and prior to that they've read the finals against the Warriors, so Tatum and Brown as their leader have the needed experience come playoff time. Holiday as well, being in the championship team with the Bucks. And who would forget how to take the ball out of the hand of Booker and then a lob pass for Giannis in their series?

So it's a different team, but I do like them facing the Heat in the first one, it will be a big test for them. And if they make it then, could be an easy road for them in the finals. But still though, we really don't know how everything will turn out in the playoff or if they will continue to dominate any teams that they are going to face.

The Sixers are really having trouble finding ways to win games without Joel Embiid. Here, against the Bucks they really did good in the first 2 quarters as they were able to put a great defense on Giannis. And then former Buck player hitting three points. But the Bucks were able to held their ground and make a comeback at the start of the 3rd quarter and that's it, cruise control on the 4th as Giannis almost put up a triple double performance. They are in the 6th spot in the East, but I think the Pacers and the Heat are going to caught up with them and maybe they will slide down into the 8th spot.

I think what they need to do is let this season end, and if ever they get into the playoffs, then play the playoffs. I think at that time, Joel Embiid will be available to play, but I think it is risky to let Embiid play since he just recovered from his injury, and it might be better to sit him until the next season. Then, if the Sixers did not make it past the first round of the playoffs, they should pick some players using the assets they received from the James Harden trade.

The two things they can do are: get some good role players that they can surround around Maxey and Embiid; the second option is to get a third star that can help them boost their offense; so if one of them is injured, they can still win some games because Maxey alone cannot win.

Just to bad again for Embiid to go down again, he is the reigning MVP but I guess he won't be defending it this year and most likely Jokic or Luka as two of the strongest candidate and 3rd will be Giannis and SGA to me.

Speaking of MVP, a lot of people are saying that it is SGA time to win it. But for me, he doesn't deserve it yet. Just because OKC has a winning record this season does not mean he will win it that fast. If that is the case, then Jayson Tatum should be the MVP this season and some of the seasons in the past. I mean, SGA is a great player, but it is kind of unfair for those who are consistent in the MVP talks that one season will sneak in and win the MVP.

And if ever SGA wins the MVP this season, it is kind of bad for Luka; since he came into the league, he is dropping insane numbers but still won't win the MVP. Also, SGA winning the MVP will create a rivalry between him and Luka since they are great guards that are running the west.

Too early for that but it can be a good match up, Jokic against KP size and skills though the Joker still got a huge edge against aninury prone KP but in terms of lineup Boston also have all the support that they need, I guess if Boston continue dominating the East, against Butler, Giannis and Embiid they have the good chance to move forward and reach again the finals.

While in the West side, I also believe that Nuggets can proceed defending their title, though it's more harder in the west as there are many super teams that can challenge them.

Still too many games to play and changes during the playoffs with new system to execute, we will see unpredicted movements for sure.

Aside from the experience discussion that was mentioned, I do not think that they have any reason. Plus, Embiid is a great guy but they never really put anyone decent around him that stayed. They keep trying, they get a lot of players, they got Butler, they got Harden, they used to have Simmons, like they are trying to put someone next to Embiid, just like how Jokic has Murray, but they keep failing.

I honestly thought that Harden would be the one, he could actually do something and he could win with Embiid, but turns out Harden is washed and he doesn't care much anymore at all. This should be the most important part, if Embiid doesn't get better this year that's fine, but if they get no one near him, then next season will not be too different.

Great game so far between Rockets and Cavs and I think Rockets will win today because they rarely lost back 2 back games against Cavs on home court + they play amazingly tonight so that is another factor in their favor.

Next up , I have my eyes on Lakers vs Warriors because both teams are looking for a win tonight to keep those play-offs spots safe.  Grin

Well, the Rockets managed to beat the Cavs, and now they have their winning streak extended to 5 games. However, they still don't have enough win percentage to get into the play-in tournament.
As for the Warriors-Lakers game, I would point out LeBron's performance. This "old" man scored 40 points and was close to making another triple-double. Unfortunately for the Lakers, it wasn't enough to win, and also Davis dropped out in the first quarter because of an eye injury.

When I turned on the TV, Anthony Davis was already gone. So, that's what happened.

Lebron is a monster. At that age, I was really amazed at how he performed on the basketball floor. 40 damn points. Wow! He carried the Lakers and tried hard to shoulder the offense but with the Warriors and Steph Curry back, it is not that easy to win the game.

The Warriors still won the game and Jonathan Kuminga scored 23 points. Man, this young guy is also amazing. Efficient and consistent.
GSW is lucky to have him because he can score and can defend too. We are witnessing how he grows in this industry and I bet he will be one of the stars someday as long as he can keep up this kind of energy and love for the game.
I bet the Warriors would not even dare trade him someday. He might be the next face of their team if the oldies starts retiring.

To bad for Lakers for losing Davis at that game since they lose a great defender and scorer which can be a game changer on that game. But its already happen, we can see the result if he's out on the rotation. What truly amazing there is Lebron continue to left his team despite of his age we can say that he's still a monster for performing and contributing huge number for his team. We can see that age is just number for him so provably we can see more from Lebron this or in upcoming season.

If you mean trading Kuminga no for sure they won't do that since there's a lot of potential for that guy and Warriors would surely develop him especially that Curry,Thompson and Green may leave on their team soon since we know they are not getting any younger anymore.

Zion is looking pretty good his last few games and helped the Pelicans beat the Clippers tonight. This is his second 30+ point outing in a row and his stats have been improving a lot lately each game. I’m half expecting him to go for 40 in his next game. I love to see him leading the team in minutes. He seems to finally be getting it together.

It seems that he already has a break on all cheeseburgers, fries and other greasy diet he has been taking a lot lately.

He manage to retain a very productive play for having a 26 points which is a little bit lower than before but still a very good score considering how consistent he is on his previous games before this consistent come back play. I’m not updated on him personally but I really believe that he is already improving his diet because the sudden increase on his stamina that makes him consistent will not gonna happened with his previous weight problem due to his unhealthy food lifestyle.

Golden State Warriors managed to win the match in which LeBron James played great by scoring 40 points. In fact, the match was going quite evenly, but GSW played better in the 3rd period and they took the lead thanks to the points they scored in this period. LeBron's effort fell short.
Anthony Davis needs to get better soon and start playing better. He plays a huge role in why the Lakers are losing right now, the team needs his support and they have a hard time winning games without him

Houston Rockets are preparing to give a new contract to Alperen Şengün. If he gets a max contract, Alperen can earn $225 million in 5 years. Alperen, who increased his statistics this season, deserves to receive a max contract. It's not easy to find such a good center. If he gets this contract, Alperen will make history in Turkish sports. The Turkish athlete will be the one who earns the most. And he's still very young. He has already become a player who will write his name in history.
He will likely get a max because he plays like their best player and he is still young, currently at 21 years old. It's true, NBA doesn't have a lot of good centers so the competition isn't that high. This season he is averaging 21.1 PPG, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, these numbers showed he is an all around player, a big man who knows how to pass, create his offense and very hard working on defense and grabbing the ball.

We don't know if it could happen since it's just a speculation for now, but if it will happen, we should not be surprise as he had the best season in his NBA carreer so far.

He needs to continue working on his diet, whatever his following now it's helping him to keep his stamina and also helping him to avoid having an injury, his performances really help his team a lot, with that numbers that he's prducing that brings more offensive arsenal and what we are witnessing right now only proves that his presence really have a big impact to their rally,.

Just need to keep away from any injury to help his team moving to the next round, still far but the team is really improving.
