Its really important for a team to have reliable 3 point shooter since those guys could be a game changer especially on critical situations. That's why Lebron try to recruit those guys to want to build a more stronger Lakers next season. But its like all of them avoid to be added on Lakers roster maybe they know that they cannot get something with that team since maybe they will get less credit if there team would perform better, but would get a lot of blame if they perform bad just like what happen to them for past seasons.

Yes, Lebron knows that he needs 3 point shooter amongst his team mates, but in the case of KCP, I remember that he was frustrated because KCP doesn't want to shoot the ball in crucial minutes that's why they had to let him go. Comes Monk, he was also a good shooter, but was not a perfect fit because they really don't know where he would be in dying minutes of the game.

And speaking of KCP, he moved to Orlando from Denver, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope leaves Nuggets, signs with Magic.

Lakers management especially Pelinka seems not really good to handle their team and it seems he always commit bad decision which Lakers would suffer at the end.

Yeah, I don't know what Pelinka is still with the Lakers though, after winning a ring, all his decisions, including coaches are all failure and I don't understand why Jeannie Buss still keeps him. They should have fired him after the season that they won their championship. And now, they will have to chase to stay abreast with the Boston Celtics, as they won their 18 championship as compare to the Lakers which stands at 17.

I wouldn't have noticed unless somebody didn't say something in my sportschat I frequent to see what events are inprogress.
At first I thought they were talking about an SRL match they were betting on or something.
But then noticed some teams showing up and then put two and two together and said, yeah. It is the Summer Time! NBA is on the menu!
One match that stood out to me was the Charlotte Hornets playing China.

It said October 5. I only found out from your post that it was the Summer League. Lol. Anyway, I sometimes watch but I don't bet on the NBA Summer League or preseason, only the NBA regular season.

Games like that aren't interesting to most of us, but it's good that they started playing. However, I'm sure there are no superstars unless it's preseason, where superstars play, albeit with limited minutes. It's a long break, and they need to figure out how to win next season, especially the Warriors, who have declined a lot as a team. With the new lineup (minus Klay Thompson), we should see significant improvement, hopefully.

In summer, teams are not interested in their own players, but in the players they want to sign a new contract with. Betting on these matches is pure luck, so there is no need to gamble. We already lose a lot of money in the season, there is no need to lose more in the summer

Bronny James has 4 points in summer league debut for Lakers

James finished with 4 points on 2-for-9 shooting, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 22 minutes.

And they lost to the Kings by 14 points, so Bronny not really the kind of player we are expecting, he is just an ordinary player having the skills of a bench player but he is popular, that's all he is. However, everyone has a chance to grow, hopefully that's the case for Bronny.

Funny to say but that's reality, it indeed even before LBJ went to Lakers, but for the James family they don't mind them as they still getting their paycheck especially now that Bronny sign his contracts that's sure money for him.

Yup, the hate is there from the fans that don't like them but their paycheck keep on coming for both of them.

Compared to Thanasis, there are also other bench players that have gone through the championship by heating their seat on the bench. No offense, they've earned their spot and Thanasis, I don't see hate on him but pure memes.  

As for Bronny, he's got a lot of time to prove his worth but no doubt that his dad influenced the draft.

Yeah right, not just Thanasis but there are players who win a ring without playing they are more successful compared to those superstar who finished their careers without winning a ring achievements wise.

I can remember that Deandre Jordan was also given some meme like that last year when the Nuggets won a ring.  

But despite that, we don't know what happens during practice game. Maybe that's how they contribute better than our thoughts.

I usually don't put any stock into summer game results.  Coaches use to to have players work on certain things.  Some that they might not be all that good at.  How many times have we seen summer league superstars barely get on the edge of a bench in the NBA.  Whereas others have flourished but stunk it up in the summer league.  With that being said at 6'2" bronny doesn't have the explosiveness he would need to succeed in the NBA long term. Don't see his career going anywhere.

It's risky and but if you're going to put just a bare amount there, it won't hurt your pocket no matter what the results will be. But if you're going to bet there seriously, don't forget to have fun.

Summer league isn't as serious as the actual season in the NBA and who knows if there are some fixed matches here or just throwing the game as results won't really be important to a team.

It's too bad that the Nuggets management overpaid Michael Porter Jr. because now they can't sign KCP to a new contract yet again. Just for context, the top 3 most paid players in the Nuggets are obviously Jokic, Murray and MPJ. They overpaid Porter Jr, and can't sign KCP that's why he went to the Orlando Magic that has a huge cap space for a veteran like him to sign with. The Magic got lucky to have a good defender, and at the same time, a good three-point shooter as well

Winner: New York Knicks
In a vacuum, Mikal Bridges isn't worth five first-round picks and another swap. But in the context of this Knicks team, he is. With OG Anunoby re-signed, the Knicks are one of the few teams that can match the Celtics' blueprint of a whole squad of top-shelf perimeter defenders funneling scorers toward an elite rim protector, which will likely be Mitchell Robinson with Isaiah Hartenstein on his way to Oklahoma City. It's impossible to overstate how much Bridges elevates this already very good team.

I agree. The Knicks are only lacking defensive players because Brunson can already bring chaos on the offensive end. He may be small but he cannot be easily stopped. Hart did try to cover for defense but the effect was exhausting nights with 40+ minutes per game, that cannot happen which is why Bridges is a good addition for their team.

I knew it already. Losing Hartenstein isn't a big problem for them. What made them winners is getting Bridges, and re-signing Anunoby. If Randle will not play on his best self this regular season, I'm afraid they will be trading him to another team... or maybe he's on the trade talks already, but it isn't being publicize yet. Whatever the case it is, the Knicks are winners for now because they got Bridges, Anunoby and they still have a chance to get some since they have draft picks.

If there's something that the Knicks are lacking, it's their interior defense. You can't rely too much on Mitchell Robinson on that as well because he's injury-prone, and right now, he's the only center the Knicks got.

Yeah, it's really hard to beat on them, and it's going to be very unpredictable as we know that there could be teams that are going to play very well, and then some just going to the motions of it.

So it's better not to bet and just simply watch those players and I do agree, just save enough, we still have months to go before the start, so at least plenty of rooms for us to move and then just bet when the actual season starts in October. Just take a break or just bet on other professional league and not on NBA Summer league.

Completely agree with what everybody has said about the Summer League games:
They are not something to bet on because they are just for teams to feel out the new prospects they had signed on to their teams and nothing more.
The players don't take it serious and just mess about on court just as it was back in the days on the street ball summers they had growing up.

They didn't get impressive addition this free agency and its like they are just hyping up their crowd to make it look likes they still do better. But in reality they didn't get much great acquisitions and what they currently do is pure entertainment.

I could bet on the total but not on a team to win. The staregy here is very simple, not sure if it's a winning strategy but I have a feeling that most of the time the overe will hit since it does look like an exhibition games, so there will be less defense will result to higher points production. The same strategy I'm  using during the preseason as well.

But even they are not performing that well as long the business is doing good I guess the managements will keep him, that's how it works  more on the money side, I also feel that they are not bringing a competitive squad or preparing for the next season though they still have the trade deadlines if they also considering to be competitive but in this early stage not seeing that move aside from hiring a new coach and drafting controversial rookie.

If he felt pressured, he should not have applied for the draft, but he did and got a chance to play in the NBA. I think this is by far his biggest achievement in his career as a professional basketball player. However, his statistics are not even close to his father's. The pressure was already high when he was still in the NCAA. Being the son of a future Hall of Famer, that's normal. But I'm sure he can handle that pressure as he is not the only son of a Hall of Famer who is not as good as his father. Even the sons of Michael Jordan are not in the NBA.
