Maybe he got hospitalized and didn't disclosed this matter.
Also maybe he's dealing with serious emotional issues
With all he is dealing with, I think the Warriors deserve to know, because he is under contract, so not going to practice is already a breach of contract. There must be a serious problem for sure, it could be more than emotional since if it's just a physical injury it would be easier to disclose to avoid problems later. Now the Warriors will have to adjust to it as there's no specific timetable as to when he will return and what will happen after. I think he needs more time to rest, kerr and the management already know this, the injury is not the problem, maybe he is dealing with a serious illness, we all know he is the vital part of the Boston run, for sure the warriors already know what they are dealing with, when they sign him, the warriors are ahead when it comes to this. Besides its too early even if he return in the middle of the season that would be alright just in time to make it if ever worse is playins.

Steve Kerr reportedly said today that Kristaps Porzingis still hasn’t reported to the Golden State Warriors training facility and that he has no idea where he is or what is going on. That doesn’t seem great for his chances of being healthy and ready to play for the season opener. The Warriors might have a rough year ahead.
If it's not an emergency, he is doing something very unprofessional. I don't want to assume yet, but he could be having problems we don't know about. Since the sports news cannot sniff anything about him yet, either he is good at hiding it or something else is happening. “I haven’t seen him yet…Yeah, I mean, you know, we want him back. He’s a really talented player, and so we thought that he was in a pretty good place. So it’s definitely concerning,” Kerr said, per Luca Evans of The San Francisco Chronicle. “And so, as I said, all we’re going to do is support him, give him every bit of medical help he can get, and emotional support, and hope that he’s back soon.” https://heavy.com/sports/nba/golden-state-warriors/scary-news-very-concerning-kristaps-porzingis-update/Kerr mentioned emotional support. I think that is a clue that he is dealing with something personal or maybe something else, but not physical. He may be good to go physically, but there could be something going on his mind. This will not be a good start for the Warriors without him. They need every bit of help they can get especially now that they do not have a good roster. Well, the NBA website states that he's out indefinitely, specifically due to health issues. But I haven't seen any specific details about that, neither there nor anywhere else. For the Warriors, losing a center who averages 16 points per game is certainly bad news, but on the other hand, nothing is surprising about Kristaps Porzingis's another absence. After all, he's struggled with various injuries throughout his NBA career and has consequently missed many games in previous seasons.

It’s too early to assume considering that there’s no exact information regarding Porzingis real status and the season is still not yet started. I believe they will still manage this year since Porzingis is not part of GSW last year roster yet somehow they still manage to enter the play-in. As long as Curry will be healthy I believe they will be fine although the postseason part is the only questionable for them which I believe Porzingis will be available before that.

The issue is that Golden State Warriors have played three pre-season games without their center Kristaps Porzingis and regular season is just few days away. It's now confirmed that Kristaps Porzingis is dealing with some health issues but nature of these issues are not disclosed so far which is creating doubts in minds of GSW supporters. GSW not able to perform good in three pre-season games they have played so far and they also have three more games lined up in pre-season. If Kristaps Porzingis was not available for the regular season games then what options GSW have?

If Kristaps Porzingis was not available for the regular season games then what options GSW have? As I said earlier, Porzingis is not part of the Warriors original roster and they traded Kuminga and Hield for him meaning Porzingis position was played by different players that still on Warriors like Green and Horford. The only difference now is GSW already experienced that might back to become a playoffs competitive team with Porzingis in the roster now. Right now, their only choice is to deal with it using their available roster until he got recovered. They still have enough options.

They still have a lot of options as I have said, including Green that can also play that position. And then they have their rookie as well that looks good in the pre-season, but hopefully is not just another hype as what their previous rookies.

Very similar case with Andrew Wiggins before if I recall it correctly. Wiggins went missing on the Warriors and they said that he has some personal issues that he was dealing, plus injuries. And when Wiggins comes back, it was a different version of him. They just come from a winning a ring and Wiggins becoming a All Star, but after that we really don't know what happened to him. So he was traded and now doing good in the Heat. That could happen to Kristap here, if ever he comes back, then the Warriors might opt to trade him.

Ben Simmons back on the court as an NBA player today and putting some work in. He even made a couple jump shots and free throws. Maybe whatever has been troubling him the last several years is finally behind him? I guess we’ll see once the regular season starts. One preseason game is easy to do well in.

Too early to judge, but it's good to see him back on the court already. Ben Simmons was once a great player, but he struggled emotionally, and now that he's been given another chance, I hope he can prove that he's back and can really help his team. He's just 30 years old, not too old, so he still has plenty of years left to play and hopefully finish his career on a good note, rather than being remembered for all the struggles and controversies once he retires.

It looks like the Warriors will have a big problem ahead as we all know that their lineup is old. What Porzingis could really bring to the team is a problem due to him being injury-prone, so I guess the Warriors kind of expected that this could happen, and I believe being a good team with lots of veterans they are already prepared for this. I just hope that Porzingis will be able to come back in the regular season, not necessarily in the early season but at least he will come back, Warriors need some size and he will be useful. Good to see that the pre-season game between the Rockets and the Mavs is in China. Yao Ming is there, a former Houston Rocket players. The Rockets won the game, Fred VanVleet made an impact in his game as he is back from his injury.
They will face each other again in Macau this Sunday for their second game.
The starters played though limited minutes only, but it's good to see VanVleet is back and scored 17 points in that game. Mavs still do not have Irving, they are the same team, so I don't expect much from them. Kyrie did travel to Macau with the team, as for sure he has a lot of fans in China specially that he carries a Chinese shoe brand. Yes, VanVleet is now ready to cook for the upcoming season and the Rockets looks really good with KD taking charge. As for the pre-season games, for some players, they didn't treat it this way as we have seen some scuffles already. The latest is with Trae Young and Danis Jenkins as both has been ejected in the Wizards vs Pistons game.

Yes, I do agree, it's too early and it depends on how the Kings is going to give him the time to play. More minutes means more confident boost for him. And it looks like he really try to improved his shooting and so if given more time then maybe we can see the old Ben Simmons who are more of a running guard and then those no look past. And still no Fox for the Spurs and so Dylan Harper started to be their point guard again. And there are even reports that says Harper is better than Fox and he could be the next great player within the Spurs, second only to Wemby. So a lot of promises for the Spurs to be the next champion for this season.

Paul George has a decent start with the Celtics, as Boston beat the Sixers. Although LBJ, Embid and former Celtic Jaylen Brown didn't play. It might be good if the did for sure as the Boston crowd is going to react for sure.
Nevertheless, as what we have said earlier, pre-season games doesn't have any weight on the regular games. But it's good to see some players like Ben Simmons coming back in the league and still playing. We all know that it's more of a mental game for him to be able to get back and play and average double digits like he used to.

Fox performance last finals really made Dylan the next option, he is the one help the team in that finals, its just he is a rookie that time and don't really have the expected experience, but it boost his confidence to help his career elevate, as for fox he needs to be his self or he will be replace, spurs have the leverage to trade him or to bench him because there are lots of rookie in the team, if he will not be confident enough those rookie will replace him in the starting lineup. George still have some gas on him that injury really change him a lot when it comes to his performance, if he did not get injured he might be a in a different level now.

After all the drama surrounding Simmons, it's surprising he got another chance to prove himself in the NBA. However, I wouldn't expect him to suddenly return to his former shape and average more than 10 points per game. By the way, the last time he averaged more than 10 points per game was during the 20-21 season, that is, his final season with the 76ers.

Sometimes a person only needs to be in the edge to be able to summon his old self and prove that he has a lot of gas left in the tank.

Well, it seems that you got hyped by those jump shots that he's posting on Instagram, eh? Kidding aside, 7 points on 9 minutes is just fine, but the 3/4 FT is... is something that we might be looking because we know how awful his free throw shooting was back when he's on Philly. Of course, let's not forget the 3-pt shooting of him. Do we see him shooting more threes now than ever before? Do we see a better efficiency on free throw line? Do we expect a better Ben Simmons now and when I say better, the one that's contributing on offense, defense and certainly not the injury-prone version of him. Looking at their roster, it seems like he will be a starter on the Kings. TBH, he could excel on that kind of roster since he's on a team that's just a mediocre or on the bottom. On the opposing team, let's give credits to Lendeborg of the Warriors as well as he scored 23 points, and he's showing some potential as well.

They still have Al Horford as their center, although it will be good if KP is on the lineup as he can stretch the floor as he had a outside shooting. But we all know that he has history of injuries already and so that is a big question on why the Warriors retained him.
They still have a lot of options as I have said, including Green that can also play that position. And then they have their rookie as well that looks good in the pre-season, but hopefully is not just another hype as what their previous rookies.
Golden State Warriors must ensure a backup plan for centre position in case KP was not able to recover from health issues before the regular season begun. Today Golden State Warriors played their 4th pre-season game without Kristaps Porzingis and it looks like Kristaps Porzingis won't be playing at least initial games of the regular season. Today GSW gave 5 years extension to 23 years old shooting guard Brandin Podziemski for $110 million. GSW done that after seeing Brandin Podziemski playing all 82 games in 2025-26 season. He was the only GSW player to do that and one among 18 NBA stars to do that.

So I guess, they will still be good with Green and Horford for now until Porzingis is back. The thing is that Porzingis might really be fit as their main center as we all know that he has a lot of experience playing that position and has a big advantage against opposition team as he can score unlike their former traditional center in Looney who are there to grab rebounds and block shots and not that much to score.

The thing is that Porzingis might really be fit as their main center as we all know that he has a lot of experience playing that position and has a big advantage against opposition team as he can score unlike their former traditional center in Looney who are there to grab rebounds and block shots and not that much to score. Hearing all those names in 2026 is wild. The Golden State Warriors are at the sad end of their legacy and it is almost painful to watch. I'm glad that Steph is going to end his career their and it seems like everyone is doing the respectful thing, but I really wish they had found a way to move him to Miami and start a rebuild. I have a feeling they're going to have some ugly nights this season.

That was always the backup plan, even before when Porzingis was not yet in the Warriors uniform, Green doubles as back up center together with Kevon Looney as their main center. I have a feeling they're going to have some ugly nights this season. The golden state warriors have made bad moves in the last few years like acquiring butler which make the salary cap tight for them, they should really have let go of the old pieces because its business, also kerr is like not doing any better in the past few years, sticking to the small ball and not taking advantage of the market because he never learn new strategy and sticking to that small ball which is not really working for them, they should have started rebuilding instead of letting rookies trade for old players or already nearing their end of career.
