They still have Al Horford as their center, although it will be good if KP is on the lineup as he can stretch the floor as he had a outside shooting. But we all know that he has history of injuries already and so that is a big question on why the Warriors retained him.

They still have a lot of options as I have said, including Green that can also play that position. And then they have their rookie as well that looks good in the pre-season, but hopefully is not just another hype as what their previous rookies.

Today GSW gave 5 years extension to 23 years old shooting guard Brandin Podziemski for $110 million. GSW done that after seeing Brandin Podziemski playing all 82 games in 2025-26 season. He was the only GSW player to do that and one among 18 NBA stars to do that.

I will just comment of Podz, I don't know, maybe it was just me, I'm not sure what the Warriors management find in him that they are willing to give that kind of amount. Just about mid level salary.

Podz hasn't proved anything in the likes of Jordan Poole, when he as one of those catalyst for their championship run. There were even running jokes that Podz is the son of Steve Kerr, LOL. Maybe his role as sa point guard for them to help Steph, but he usually disappears on big and clutch games.

---

Golden State Warriors must ensure a backup plan for centre position in case KP was not able to recover from health issues before the regular season begun. Today Golden State Warriors played their 4th pre-season game without Kristaps Porzingis and it looks like Kristaps Porzingis won't be playing at least initial games of the regular season.

Today GSW gave 5 years extension to 23 years old shooting guard Brandin Podziemski for $110 million. GSW done that after seeing Brandin Podziemski playing all 82 games in 2025-26 season. He was the only GSW player to do that and one among 18 NBA stars to do that.
Just to add on this one, I looked at their roster, and excluding KP, their tallest player is Lendeborg, and some random role players on their team. TBH, if they will not look for a replacement for KP, their best option right now is to go back to how the Warriors' dynasty became popular a decade ago which is going back go a small-ball line-up, and I don't know if how they can pull it up, but they still have the coach that popularized it so... there's a chance that we might see them going that route on the regular season.

As for BPodz getting that paycheck, he really deserves it after how he played in these last few years. Aside from the fact that he played all 82 games, he played really well, a reliable on offense, and he's also one of the best when it comes to their opponents getting an offensive foul. We've seen this happening that Podz will be one of their key players, and with this, the Warriors expect more from him.

Hearing all those names in 2026 is wild.  The Golden State Warriors are at the sad end of their legacy and it is almost painful to watch.  I'm glad that Steph is going to end his career their and it seems like everyone is doing the respectful thing, but I really wish they had found a way to move him to Miami and start a rebuild.  I have a feeling they're going to have some ugly nights this season.

Until Curry retires from the NBA, the Warriors probably won't take any drastic steps to rebuild their roster. As long as Curry is on the team, the Warriors will be a middle-of-the-pack team throughout the regular season; they might even make it to the play-in tournament or the first round of the playoffs, but it's unlikely they'll go any further. However, once Curry retires, I think the Warriors will hit rock bottom during their rebuild and stay there for a few seasons, just as the Rockets and Pistons did during their rebuilds.

Curry should’ve left the Golden State Warriors, I can’t completely say he is still the same player he was 3-5 years ago because he is no longer the player he was in 2022 when they won the NBA finals, his getting older so he should’ve left for a new Challenge just like LeBron James left the Lakers for 76ers, I don’t know if other franchises was interested in him. I don’t know where the Warriors are going to end up in the regular season, after winning the championship in 2022, I haven’t seen much from Stephen Curry in a regular season, I’m surprised a franchise as big as Golden State Warriors haven’t built a proper team to Challenge for the Playoffs, or getting to the playoffs Finals, I know building a team always takes time, it would definitely take time for Golden State Warriors to get to the level of 2022, there is so many uncertainties surrounding Golden State Warriors.

It depends on how lucky they will be in the draft. I mean, if the Golden State Warriors can get a new good face of their franchise and surround him with good role players, it can work out as soon as Curry retires from the team. Who would've thought a skinny, baby-faced player could get 4 championship rings? The Warriors got the right chess pieces to have a great championship team even though they are not superstars, and also with the help of a great coach.
The Warriors' owners are also not being cheap about the contracts anymore, so I think they will do well even when Curry retires.

Nah, Curry didn't really considered leaving the Warriors, though there were a bit of a hint about it, but he really have no intentions of leaving. Seems like he already decided to follow the path of being loyal to the on franchise where his NBA career stared.
The Warriors actually have a decent roster currently, but they need to stay healthy throughout the season if they want to have a real shot at the championship.
With Kristaps, Butler, and Moody being out indefinitely, long term as they are recovering from a major injury, right now making it to the play-in alone could be a real challenge for them.
Also, rebuilding and acquiring a good pieces that fits their roster could also be a real challenge, because Jimmy's trade value could decrease due to his injury. Moody was also a promising player as he became a highly reliable 3 and D wing player prior to the injury. Hope the injury won't change his game.
GSW will probably miss the playoffs in the next 2-3 years or it can even stretch to 5 years with their aging core and injury troubles.
