Hi, at the end I didnt went to Bitwala because my BTC is exchanged to EUR in the moment you top it up.

The idea behind is thet the BTC price is constantly growing so if I prepay my debit card with lets say 0,2 BTC, at the end of the momnth I´ll have proportionally more Euros than the initial conversion ratio.

Is there any VIDA or Mastercard credit card that stores my BTC and makes the translation in Euros every time I use it?

Thanks!

Try XAPO  they do it that way.  You don't need to load your card manually. it uses directly from your BTC wallet

As far as I know Xapo have no virtual cards. The physical card will be either Visa or MasterCard so I doubt they (government) will ask for anything, as you will be withdrawing and they will be taking fees too.

hi
please can you tell me what you mean here with "deducts directly from your wallet"? All cards don't have wallets? Thanks for explanation Smiley

Also I found this on Xapo ToS:

Quote
To add funds to your Fiat Account, simply click on the ADD FUNDS button after logging in. You will be taken through a process that will display different available currencies and methods to send the selected amount to Xapo, depending on your location and some other factors. It is personalized to each user and certain factors involved, so only specific payment options are shown for each purchase order. Xapo charges a fee of 0.2% of the added funds. Also, processing fees may apply depending on the payment method. At the end of the process, the amount received by Xapo will be credited in the respective Fiat Account.
To fund your Fiat Account from your Bitcoin Wallet, simply click on the TRANSFER button after logging in. You will be taken through a process that will display a quote of the value assigned by Xapo to one bitcoin in your selected Fiat currency, allowing you to transfer your bitcoins to the selected Fiat Account. After accepting the quote, we will display a message indicating that the transfer to your Fiat Account is confirmed.

In xapo they have different wallets,  btc and other fiat such as gbp, usd etc.  The default is btc wallet. the information you saw in xapo site is about if for any reason you want to convert your btc from btc wallet to fiat wallet.  there is no need for that for you to use the card.

so if you send some btc to your xapo btc wallet, your card will be linked to that btc wallet.  every time you use your card, it will be automatically deducted directly from your btc wallet with current price of the time when you used your card.

  I hope it clarifies.  Cheesy

Is that a new bank coming in the debit card game? It's interesting to see competition coming in, I really do hope that smaller companies will follow BitPay and attempt to offer better solution for US residents.

Are their cards able to be used again? I haven't caught up with what's going on with Uquid after the whole history with myChoice cards. What's happening in there?

I didn't even knew that they stopped working? I never used the physical card but for the virtual one, I didn't have any issues.

Huh. Where are you located? I reside in the U.S. and had only the virtual card with them and I was completely blocked from the website for a period of about one month. My card itself was not blocked, but it became impossible to load it or to use the UQUID website for anything related to the card, as I was IP-blocked for a while. Even when I (and I assume the rest of the U.S.) was unblocked, the loading feature still would not work as they said they were still trying to find a new card provider that would work for them and even then, it appeared as if they were going to just completely drop the U.S. market and focus solely on issuing cards to E.U. residents through Wave Crest, which does not work outside of the E.U.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

As much as I like CoinsBank, this isn't up to the spirit of holiday spending. All cards are getting reduced limits unless verification lvl 3 is reached. From my experience, their verification procedure can be quite fast but AFAIK they rely on own resources instead of a third party app that does verification with better uptime so if you're after verifying your card do so quickly before Christmas holidays.

Quote
Please note on January 17th, 2018 new card limits will go into effect.

For customers with cards levels 1 and 2, each card will have a spend limit of 250 USD/250 EUR/200 GBP per card life cycle.

Point of sale transactions, e-Commerce transactions and ATM cash withdrawals will affect the remaining balance of your card limit.

Customers desiring higher limits, will need to complete level 3 verification in a timely manner in order to avoid any service interruptions.

Please contact Support if you have any questions.

Best regards, CoinsBank team

Be warned: Shakepay are taking deposits but NOT crediting accounts!!
I've been waiting a couple of days now and they won't reply.
A search on Twitter shows other people have same problem.
And on this site too! Check this other thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1411180.msg26907322#msg26907322

From what I understand TunerDude said, he did actually get the card now unless he actually meant to say he hasn't received that card yet. Looking at the website itself, it does not look professional at all. There are many typos and grammatical mistakes that lead me to think that this was all done within the day. Whether or not they actually a scam would not matter all that much to me, as I would still not give them my business no matter how legitimate they may be. I would look elsewhere for a card.

The signature campaign posters adding useless redundant fluff to their posts to reach their minimum word count are lowering my IQ.

Yes I did come across this one also. I tried contacting them to ask if they provide to Non EU countries but they never replied me. Anyone else speak to them?
