I buy cigarettes and clothing mostly. For electronic purchases i mostly use paypal since not many suppliers accept btc as an official payment method.

However, I would definitely use bttc if more electronic webshops  would accept it.

As I'm not interested in drugs, mining gear, bitcoin t-shirts, bitcoin muffins, bitcoin mugs, bitcoin stickers and such stuff, and I also have a good source of cheap cigarettes, I can't really spend it for too many useful things, Smiley.

I spend bitcoin daily on toping up my mobile balance. Apart from that i have started to use bitcoin as alternative to paypal to pay my hosting and domain cost these days.

That sounds cool, where can you top up your mobile with bitcoin (Im in the UK, not sure if that will make a difference)

Sooo, this pizza i ordered last night, my first bitcoin purchase, i must say, it was way more convinient than expected, it was so fast (the actual entire payment process) and it felt all the more better because of how lazy i am, i absolutely hate filling out forms with debit/credit card info lol then gotta go to my banks secure payment page, ugh its all long lol, all i did last night was point my phones camera at my laptop screen and it said your payments been received and your pizza is on its way lol, Bare in mind this is at like 1:20 AM

It was such a shame that the pizza was so bad, it was oily, kind of tasteless and the cheese & toppings where all falling apart, Their bbq wings were nice though, AND they sent me the wrong drink! lol, They sent coke, i hate coke, but it was too late for me to be bothered to complain

Anyways, after that little experiment of mine, and watching videos of people spend bitcoins in person in shops, In most videos it looks like quite an awkward transaction at the moment for physical in store purchases, Online however, i do have to say Bitcoin is easily my preferred payment method, just out of how easy it was.

I want to spend bitcoin directly, not buying gift cards. There isn't enough merchants accepting bitcoin worldwide.

Golden rule is to spend and rebuy. But if that does not happen there's a silver rule which is spend less and hold more.
And then there's hope, a lot of hope.  Wink

for the few places that do accept bitcoin, do you currently spend the coins you hold at any of them?

I know places like www.takeaway.com accept bitcoin and i even heard CEX.co.uk accept bitcoin in stores now too, but does anyone spend the bitcoins they have or do most just onto hold them? (Or gamble them lol)

I wonder if there will ever be any retailers that only accept bitcoin.

Hoarding and trading only. (At least for now)

I do actually spend my Bitcoins online, especially the ones I earn through signature campaigns. I've bought plenty of secondhand video games from JJGames, a few domain names from Namecheap and some stuff from Overstock  Smiley

I do not know if there is retailers or online shop that only accept bitcoin as their payment.
Most of all business owner want to give their best service for their customers, if they only accept bitcoin and not for paper / fiat money. People who can buy it via non-bitcoin will cancel their purchase.  Smiley

And that is mean their loss their potential customers.

By the way, i really appreciate the online shop/service which accept bitcoin as their payment. We do not need to make it only for bitcoin too, just give many option for the payment methods including bitcoin.

A little different the title with the end of your main post. Normally the end of post finalize the title but your's ask another thing. I will try to answer to both questions.

As for the first one (the title) my answer is no, I never use my bitcoin except when I think that their use can bring me other bitcoins. Only in those cases I use bitcoin. Not in any other way or case. Why? Because I think that bitcoin is to valuable to buy the everyday things or even every other kind of things that normally can be bought with my local currency.

Now the final sentence of your posts. According to me you think wrong. Why a merchant must accept only bitcoin in him's store when can use and accept all the kind of money that bring him revenue? I agree that bitcoin must be absolutely between those but why the only? For me and you (who like bitcoin and want to see the use of it everything) this can be good because maybe this can force the people to buy bitcoin if want to buy something that can be found only at him's store. But a merchant don't use this kind of logic in him's activity because if yes, probably will bankrupt. He want profit and use every possible way to have this. And every possible way is not to accept only bitcoin.

Then another thing. I think that people must want bitcoin because they will like it and not because they will be forced to use it (like in the above case if the merchant which must accept only bitcoin). The force of them to buy bitcoin in order to have something they want from the above merchant may have the opposite of we want. The hate of it. It is one thing to have bitcoin or to approach to bitcoin naturally and another thing to force the people to go to it. The second way is risky and I think that can be even wrong.
