for the few places that do accept bitcoin, do you currently spend the coins you hold at any of them?

I know places like www.takeaway.com accept bitcoin and i even heard CEX.co.uk accept bitcoin in stores now too, but does anyone spend the bitcoins they have or do most just onto hold them? (Or gamble them lol)

I wonder if there will ever be any retailers that only accept bitcoin.

well i use bitcoin to pay my electricity my water my internet, almost of my house bill i use my
bit coin to pay them. but sometimes i convert my bitcoin to cash to buy raw and orgnic food.

With the friday bitcoin thing I might, if I see a really good deal, otherwise no, it's like spending money with gold, I don't really need to use BTC when I can use filthy cash. If I got paid in BTC tho, I would be more inclined to use it to buy things, because I dont have to convert.

Sure, whenever convenient, but not "out of principle" anymore (did that in the beginning, I guess).

Which means, paying for something online whenever I would otherwise have to get my CC, or even better, in case there's a rebate for using BTC (a large food delivery service here charges a small fee for all payment methods other than cash or BTC Cheesy)

Not sure which Bitcoin wallet you should use? Get Electrum!
Electrum is an open-source lightweight client: fast, user friendly, and 100% secure.
Download the source or executables for Windows/OSX/Linux/Android from, and only from, the official Electrum homepage.

I've never spent a single satoshi (except to buy some altcoins of course). I know that it is bad and that it don't promote nor help Bitcoin at all, but I know that the price will rise a lot in a few years, so I don't want to repeat the 10 000BTC pizza.

Actually I spend my btc only in gambling and telephone charge. Until to 2 months ago, I spent my btc also for an holiday of 3 days with my girlfriend, that was fantastic ! Smiley

At the end, Bitcoin is like every value, why don't spend? Cheesy

I spend my bitcoin when I need something to buy for myself or I need to pay my bills.
As a student, it is really important for me to have an income to sustain my studies.
When I already finish my studies then it is time for me to collect a bitcoin.

You should look in my signature. I heard about the campaign and subscribed to their newsletter.
Then I bought some more bitcoin. Let's hope they got some great deals.

P.S. No, i am not getting paid extra to say this.

I definitely spend my bitcoins in most of my online purchases, specifically domains and hosting. Although I have a small stash in cold storage just in case the price increases dramatically on the long run

Nowadays i do almost all of my groceries and other smaller purchases with bitcoin debit card. I can pay everything exept gasoline from automated gas stations by BTC. I´m also considering to have (part of) my salary and pay all of my bills by bitcoin. I just need to make sure i buy same amount or more BTC than i spend them monthly Smiley

Thats awesome, whats the rates like paying with a bitcoin debit? i imagined it would of been quite expensive, but i would love to be in that position, my HOPE is to have between 1-5 bitcoins in cold storage by the end of 2016 and up to 1btc in a hot wallet to spend when i need too which i hope to keep topped up to use whenever i need too.
