I spend it only when the value (like now) is high. Never spend a bitcoin when the price was less then 250 USD. it's like giving away your money for free.

It is not always possible. If you are in an emergency situation, and if you need money, then you will be forced to sell your coins at whatever rate available. The same has happened with me as well, on multiple occasions. And another question. If BTC drops to $250 per coin, what makes you believe that it will not go down even further?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I just checked my excel spreadsheet, which acts as a log to record my Bitcoin activity. Ever since I lost my job in 2014 March, I have offloaded some BTC23.541 and converted them to fiat. Received some $6,732 in return for these coins, at an average rate of $286 per coin. Currently the exchange rate is at least $100 higher than that. Feels bad.  Angry

In this sense, bitcoin will never be a true currency, everyone will just hold and not use it in fear of rising btc prices

Same case as yours But I use to buy some bitcoins when its is on less value and when reach I high prices then I use buy things and I use sell some bitcoins for fiat currency. from yesterday onwards value is little increased that looks good going BTC price. Lets hope to move for high price more than current value 389$.

I actively spend on digital goods, very never on real things. The reason is I can't find anybody that accept bitcoin, beside some buskers in the city. In fact, those are the people who for me into bitcoin.

So, a kind of yes from me, I actively spend my bitcoin, but only on digital goods.

Yes, but people who are holding coins don't need them in  any way and it is nothing more than throwing away their coins if they are about to invest .
there is no good reason to spend bitcoins unless some major issues.

Not really I just hold it for now.
I am waiting that later in one year I have more than 10 bitcoin, but I only spend when I see something good that I can pay with bitcoin.

I don't spend that often, but every month I just buy some goodies or some accounts.
I am just looking forward that bitcoin will increase so that I can sell it and make more profit.

Makes sense to me as I also used to do that , especially right now that the price was close to $400 and great timing since its also a holiday season. But you can:t still avoid spending if the price is low, most likely in case of something emergency, you will be forced to spend your coins no matter what the price is and it already happened to me (even though I told myself not to spend a satoshi during that time)

Try not too. Holding is hard to do but it is the best thing to do until the market becomes more stable.
This is my bit of advice.

It really depends on the time of the month and time of the year.

Sometimes i spend more than other month but very very rare in this case.

Currently i am holding because i think that the price will be even more but one day will spend all of them.

arguably spending on trading, can be more of a waste then using it for buying what you want

spending does not mean wasting bitcoin, you can always resell what you buy, especially because with bitcoin you cna have a discount on it, so you can actually do trading with the stuff you buy and earn even more

Voted "No". Firstly I don't have much Bitcoins, so I prefer to accumulate them more rather than spend. Secondly there are not much places to spend Bitcoins yet. Of course you can always just exchange in localbitcoins but fortunately it's not so easy to do and that's why some of us still have their coins instead of "things we don't want". )

Yes and no actually, because I hold some of my bitcoins in my paper wallet and some of my pc and online.
So I am currently holding some and with I invest or purchase something I just do it in the good moment or time.
