Sports offcourse, outdoor sports. Do it with friend and in a competive atmosphere. It will urge you to perform again and again.

I play basketbal 2 times a week. And it really helps.

While that is a touch of cheek there that is the most honest answer this thread has probably had. OP I felt awhile ago that I was getting an urge to gamble more than I liked and thinking about it more than I should but that was not hard to not play for a few weeks and the feeling goes. Follow the above its sound advice, stop pressing buttons. Mainly the on button.

I think the better option to stop gambling do not go near computer and don't play any video games. Try to find a out door activities which can keep you active for long time than more chances you can forget about online gambling soon. Gambling can be a major problem for some people. I would say you need to have the correct mindset and decide how much time and money you spend on it, You must always tell yourself that it is only entertainment and fun, it is not income! If you limit yourself to say  2 hours a day, it is very good. Also try an distract yourself as much as possible, such as having a job, going outside with family friends etc, even leave all gadgets at home. Hope you succeed and good luck.

Yeah i agree with you, but playing games also make you forget about gambling. games like dota is good for killing time because 1 game is around -+1 hour. it's good but better you socialize with your friends and get a job maybe.

i am getting addicted to gambling.And i am loosing a lot of money.I am loosing what i can't afford to lose.its sad that when you start loosing its just busted me again and again.at last i gamble for fun but now when i am getting addicted i am loosing too much. stand in front of a mirror everyday and remind yourself of all this complaint of yours about gambling which are truth, also if you are married reminds yourself that you have people that depends on that money before you gamble it away and lastly if you have somebody you love so much discipline yourself by setting a very high financial goal that could make that person very happy.

You can easily use a program to ban it with a password, requiring a password to unlock it. You can entrust the password to another person or just throw it away and forget it.

but it is not a good suggestion for away from gambling. all depending on our view, if gambling for life it would be difficult for away from gambling, because we will always need money to life.

Yes I too agree only with self discipline we can make ourselves guarded against the gambling temptations. Focusing our concentrations to some other things  will help ourselves in greater way from staying away from gambling.

Have a girlfriend/boyfriend? Close your poker online and find one.
Have a bitcoin talk account you use to gamble with your btc because of ads? Sell it and buy a nice book with it.
