Stuff that distract you from gambling: Kids, family & friends, hobbies including gaming (at least you'll be addicted to that rather than addicted to losing your money)

The problem with distractions is that it takes just a second for you to gamble, and you may end up losing quite a bit.
It is important to restrict the access to money which can be used in gambling.
access to money is urgently needed. if we have a lot of money it will not be a problem when we play gambling. the problem is, whether the money will last long?

that's just it. it really doesn't matter how much money you have if you have a gambling problem. you will keep betting and betting until you run out of money and then borrow more money to bet some more. in the end you lose everything and are deep in debt which you can not pay.

Which is why you have to keep a separate wallet for gambling. You have got to stop when that runs out. Strictly no excess gambling and definitely no gambling on borrowed funds.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Give your wallet to your wife or son or whoever close to you then ask for a daily allowance just enough for your daily expenses and a little extra. This way you won't be able to gamble, keep it up for a week or 2 to get a hang of it and spend more time with the family or sports. Get the wallet back and see if you still want to gamble after a 2-week break. If you do, repeat but this time for a longer period.

Good idea bro...I sometimes left my laptop to my wife were some of my coins are, and everytime i want to gamble, she always tell me that "No, you can't I am using the laptop, can't you see?. try to gamble using the computer." that way, I always gamble using the coins from the faucet, lucky that sometimes I could win from that...playing guitar also helps me not to touch the laptop...  Wink

Stuff that distract you from gambling: Kids, family & friends, hobbies including gaming (at least you'll be addicted to that rather than addicted to losing your money)
And there's also some lockout forms you can fill in some casinos, like moneypot and nitrogensports for example, to act as an unremovable restriction.

Personally for me, I switched to gaming after I lost a sh!t ton from dicing, however, occasionally I wager small bets on some sporting events for fun.

I think your not suggesting how to stay away from gambling and rather keep them from playing other gambling stuffs,

And rather gambling on dice for me sports betting are safer and even if you bet that day it will just be ocassionally and not an everyday gambling.

Why do people have to find new addictions instead of just quitting one? Seriously all your advice is shit, you don't tell someone addicted to something to get addicted to something else that is supposedly less harmful.

That is just what I am saying and why are you so mad about it? Where in the gambling section right? And suggesting something about gambling is still good in this part of the forum, and I think your the one that are not needed here for advising something to quit, it is on natures way a person to be addictive because we are sinful beings he is the one who will decide if he's gonna quit or not!

It's not easy to stay away from gambling. Maybe focus on other things, go outside and have fun playing sports atleast you forget a little.
This is probably the most effective way to stay away from gambling. But you should have do these activities with your family or friends.
A new interest or hobby for yourself might help too. Either way, choose the best method that you think is more comfortable for you.

Life sucks.

hold on, hold on, no need to say bad thing about friend that soon. sth family is indeed the bad influence, but again, no need to mention that here. plus, the suggestion for chosing the best method has already been spoken, that's enough.

To stay away from gambling just don't visit the gambling sites if you aren't addicted gambler
But if you are addicted gambler, try to minimize your daily bets there to minimize your losing risks as well

A good idea for this is to make your bitcoins need a multi signature approval in order to move funds, so you could put a key far from you in another residence or something, so you would become lazy to gamble since you would need to travel to another place to get the other key in order to move your funds. Of course this requires will in the first place and if you had any will you would just not gamble in the first place.

Woah, thats quite impressive bro ! I think this is good idea, but better than that you can also do this in another way , which is you give your wallet to your friend ( online ) and ask him to give you new password daily at night a specific time.

Well  there is so much you can do nowadays, even on the internet that will abstain the urge to gamble. So, many online games for you to enjoy all free of course, I would not advise paying on downloads, that can be so addictive too in the long run.

Yes when we are focusing on ways to occupy ourselves without the need to spend any money, after all what comes free has no losses attached to it. Even if you do like the idea of playing gambling games like roulette, cards, baccarat etc, there are plenty of sites offering free online casino games, but make sure you never register for any accounts.

They are free and have no risk in it either be it for money or coins and regardless of winning/losing.People are addicted because of the shortcut and go with the emotions to make some money out of it.In some sense it is impossible to get rid of the addiction but is also dependent on the person trying to.

Indeed. I once tried to block some website on my own but eventually I unblock them myself a few days later.
The moral of the story is, ask someone to block the website you don't want to visit anymore in the future. Because you know how to unblock it if you do it yourself.

Life sucks.

it's very difficult to stay away from gambling currently because ease of access to the Internet and everybody have a computer in their room i think it's quite impossible to ignore or do not touch your computer and access the gambling site
