How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ?

My suggestion for you is to find another hobby so you can have fun and fill your time with it. So you will forget about gambling and your addiction will steadily dissapear.

i think addiction has multiple lvl, depend on which lvl a gambler is in, a method is fittable or not. one should always try to solve their problem by oneself 1st, then if the condition is too bad for that, of course that one must use helps from others.

But you need to choose a good friends if you find a friend that addicted to gambling you can't forgot it and you will be also addicted too.
I also suggest that vacation in far places with friends and family can stay away in gambling..

The main point here is, you must have self-control. If not, you will gamble on online casino like there is no tomorrow.

I agree! I used to play a lot of poker online. Now, I don't play almost at all. Sometimes on Facebook only on points (for money at all), and even this, mostly happens after couple of beers

It is not because we are online most of the time, for example : offline gamblers who only play on real casino.
So it depends on ourselves, if we have a self-control we will able to stay away from gambling although we are online most of the time.

How to stay away? Don't hold money in the first place. In that way you won't be tempted to deposit it in a gambling site or play with it in real life and you can probably be sure that you won't be losing money because of gambling ever again. Or, let someone block your access in gambling sites so that you won't be able to see even a glimpse of it and be tempted to gamble again.
