it is all about self control. If you know when to step away even when you are winning,
you will be able to have better self control of yourself.
If you're the kind of person who can't control him or herself,

You can make your monthly limit for gambling in different wallet and use only that. So you can gamble and be safe.  op is asking how to stay away from gambling but you are giving an advice the other way around. anyways having a monthly won't help that much as i have tried it to myself, it is not safe at all. |

Stay online most of the times than it is like to impossible to stay away from gambling because when some got busted than he never ready to take responsibility of this and trying to find another way to get recover this amount and than again start to chase it there.
It is not because we are online most of the time, for example : offline gamblers who only play on real casino. So it depends on ourselves, if we have a self-control we will able to stay away from gambling although we are online most of the time. Exactly, gambling is not only in the internet, is everywhere. If we have a problem with it, we have just stop trying. The problem is not every time occur in you right? If you keep on trying. You will never know how much you can get from gambling. And you just let it gone like that after you lose? Some people to recover it is impossible but for me it is possible except you are stop trying |

I think there is no way for a person to stay away from gambling if he considers himself as a gambling addict because even the weather now is being used in gambling so what else cant be used in gambling.

I think its possible, people have to think about other things. They do not must think about them self only but also about their family. I think the most gamblers are egoists. |

Exactly this would be mine suggestion to follow too. Do not sit on your computer and play, try to get out. Spend a life with meeting people, doing something more funny. Just find a better way of spending time. This will be bigger win. |

Sorry to hear this OP. Like many have already said, you need to get a support group around you. It's no longer fun, when it's destroying your life. Find something else to do that is fun and find people that you like to do it with.

Just find a better way of spending time. This will be bigger win. Yes simple and effective way of getting rid of gambling addiction is deviating our focus towards gambling. But I believe this is not possible without the support of family and friends. They only can guide us from getting away from gambling. |

That's just very unfortunate. But you know what, you've already identified as a problem and seems to me that this is already a good place to start.
Try to figure out first why you are doing it. And start analyzing things around it. Are you doing it for the money? Well then, are you actually earning money? Is there any other way to get money? Etc.
Don't be so hard on yourself.

You should not go gambling at all, its very bad to do.
Just think about what you got and don't wanna lose at all.
I think that's the best option just gamble for fun if you really want to gamble.
The big gamblers who are addicted to gambling can never stay away from gambling, they will even sell their home for the sake of gambling as they can't live without gambling, gambling is like a drug, a worst addiction. |

What you are saying is absolutely correct, but everyone doesn't think the way you think, addicted people will find reasons to gamble as they cannot stay away from gambling and its not easy for anyone to keep them away from it. |

Yes, spending more time with friends or family members outside will really help to lose interest in gambling. Basically, until one forget about gambling should be online than it will be easy. So try to avoid using computer more, when your alone. |
