I had a sports gambling problem due to having a serious financial issue pop up around the same time I lost some important people in my life,so I know gambling can be hard to kick and I can really only give you what I did.

I switched from sports to another gamble in poker, which I then turned into Travian and other games online.
The brain just need some kind of kick start to get going down the right path.
I started working out more and lost some weight, which helped me think clearer and not be so quick to look for a way to relieve stress. Now I can gamble without issue and know my limit.

It took a long time to get here and I had 3 months hiccups until I realized I had a 3 month itch. Slowly the waves of itch spaced out and became farther apart. Also letting people know what I was going through helped a lot.

The most decent way IMO is restricting your access to money and bitcoins, if you can't control yourself completely then avoid having access to your bitcoins in a paper wallet and money in general "keep it with a family member or someone who knows your problem".

The only down side of that is you know who keeps your money... there is tendency that you will still ask for it... might be good if you keep your money on time deposit in banks or in any bitcoin investment..  Smiley

in order to completely stay away from gambling i would most probably try to find some new hobbies that would help me to avoid thinking about gambling

Yup...find something new to focus on..finding a hobby that don't include internet might be a good one...also, forgetting how much fund you have in your wallet might also help.. it is tempting..  Smiley

Staying offline will save you, do real sports instead of betting on them. There are so many things that can be done out there without gambling.

You can stay away from gambling by not gamble at all, its the best way to just ignore the suggestions from other people.
Its all in year head that you want to gamble, you just can stop or ignore its not as hard as most people think.

While this may seem like the easy and only way to stop gambling, some people are actually addicted to it. Like cigarettes, its easy to say you can just stop but a whole hell of a lot harder to actually do it. I would recommend anyone who has a gambling addiction to find an alternative hobby to spend your time on. Whether its sports or video games, books, building, anything that will get your mind off the games has got to help you at least cut back.

Does betting offline doesn't contributes towards gambling or anything other then dice is not gambling ? The addiction is in the person and not in the playing area, which he needs to get rid of.

The best option is to find some distraction. I think that is the most important. And you must also say to yourself that you must stop gambling.
If you can say that to yourself then you are good. Or you just can find a hobby or a sport that you like to do.

Yes distraction will be a big roll in getting rid of gambling addictions. My close friend who was addicted to gambling has fallen in love with his neighbor girl fortunately. Now he completely left gambling.

Easiest way to stop gambling is to realise you dont have mathematical chance of winning in a long run. So you might want to get some statistics, permutations books and study them. Then stop gambling because you cant win Cheesy

Just do not gamble at all, you can stop yourself, its just a matter of controlling and protecting yourself from it.
I think the best thing to do for the people that are gambling or already addicted.

Staying away from gambling is not easy deal. Especially for peoples who got addicted with gamble. These people should use their will power and find something else to do like another good hobby can help to stay away from gambling.
Yeah that is true. it took a long time so that we can forget about gambling, the key is in itself

Well then Stick with signature campaign there is no risk there, and by forgetting gambling means no income for your campaign of choice then you might as well forget signature campaign, taking your campaign name so that other people may see it and people would might click on and play your campaign gambling site!

when it's about addiction it's easy to ask the addicted people to just don't make this thing but hard to practice it for them in the same time simply because they are already addicted
They need a hard effort to stop gambling

Yup! easy said than done, but for them it is too difficult to stop in the enjoyment they experienced with gambling that is the way of life of a gambler!

To stay away from gambling is the best option to find distraction. You must do that you like and it must cost nothing or a little.
You must do activities with your friends or family. I think that is the best distraction for yourself. And you must say to yourself that gambling is bad.
