if you only want to have fun, i think you don't need to make a deposit, just use the faucet from the site and play with it, like what i am do in dice gambling. i get few satoshi in that site, i use it for playing dice, no matter i win or loss, i still have my bitcoin safe because i am not make any deposit. if the free satoshi is loss, then i can request another satoshi from the site so i can continue to play in a whole day but i am not playing for daily, i only come into the site only when i need to make fun.

I also agree with you, I think that is the main reason of becoming addicted of gambling, as everyone wants to make good money in a short period of time therefore they always looking for shortcuts and to them gambling is one of the most easiest way of making money in short time.
But the fact is a little different as in gambling you can even lose your own money in a short time.
