I think that we should stop talking about all these legalization and mind our own business on Bitcoin. you can't actually encourage someone  tell them to accept because you feel it's right. but you should  to introduce them with technology . they will not continue it,also bitcoin is not treated as legal tender in many many places.

You need to have some good convincing power along with some good amount of knowledge about the thing which you are going to talk. There is a possibility that you can encourage anyone in this world. The most essential thing which you actually need to do is to make other people aware of bitcoin. If you will be able to tell the advantages of having bitcoin in their lives, they will for sure go for it.

I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
They are going to do this when they are ready, bitcoin is not ready yet, the fees are very high and the network is slow so there is not a reason for merchants to adopt bitcoin but that is going to change.

Acceptance of bitcoin from the local businesses will not be easily. First of all, those businesses should be willing to accept btc instead of fiat because we all know about its volatility, I think somehow it might not be feasible for them in most of the cases plus they should also have the knowledge about this kind of technology.

I fully agree that local business will have a hard time accepting Bitcoin at the current status of the confirmation delay.  Both the merchant and the customer will find it time consuming if they accept and pay bitcoin offline since it will take sometime before the transaction confirm.  But I believe this will change once the lighting network is implemented to bitcoin.

We don't need to encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin because they will do it in their own. If local businesses know about bitcoin they will not think if they should accept of bitcoin because when the time they knew it they would probably grab and accept it. We all know that bitcoin now gets higher and higher to its maximum price.

To encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin is not that much easy as we have practical handling issues one is the transaction fee and duration of payment receiving not only that the rate of bitcoin hike and suddenly down in what basis they will fix the rate and how they receive the payment. First we should resolve this issue and then we will talk about it will be better.

I think it's hard for local businesses to accept BTC.Because some countries policy that BTC cannot become legal currency, so under such policies, enterprise is difficult to accept the BTC, and the value of the BTC fluctuations, enterprises can't take such a risk

It is not that easy in encouraging some people to use bitcoin as a mode of payment until today , but there are some people that are accepting bitcoin due to the over price of the bitcoin now, later on it will be so popular many people will understand it.

The best practice which can help us in encouraging the ones who are there in the local business market is to make them very well aware about all the things related to bitcoin and crypto currency. Other than this, we also need to give them a detailed description about how things work in the world of bitcoin. In addition to this, we also need to make them understand the real need of having bitcoin and things like that.

Maybe not for now but i guess in the future local businesses also would patronize and accept bitcoin as one of the currency in the matket, by spreading some informations to families and friends eventually it will spread itself the goodnews of bitcoins, just by spreading and sharing ideas is enough that it will eventually be accepted in some local businesses...

we must understand that all actions Bitcoin users will be very significant if they will pay attention not only managers, but the real owners of the company who should see the prospect of using crypto currency. I just do not know what to do for this, but maybe if someone has ideas to create their projects or even the same stores, using crypto currency, then it needs to be done at all costs.

If we told them how bitcoin can help the community financialy, and convince them that there are plenty of bitcoin users out there, maybe they can manage to accept BTC as a mode of payment.
Some businessman doesn't care about the community, they started to build their business thinking about themselves so if you'll tell them that they will mostly benefit on accepting bitcoin, they will be interested with it. Just tell them that when they started to accept bitcoin, they have currency and having an investment altogether. They are businessman and they are looking for the things that they can make money all the time.

It's not as easy as you think, they're not going to start accepting because one person wants to pay with it, with time more people will start to use BTC and then it will happen automatically but still you can plant the idea in their head and explain to them what it is but only if they seem interested.

Better idea is if you use some online stores/services tell them how you would have loved to pay with bitcoin.

Thing is with services as bitpay you are a thief of your own wallet if you don't accept it.

There are no risks because of the instant conversation.

Maybe, we should share them our knowledge about bitcoin. We should spread what are the benefits and advantages of using bitcoin.Let's spread bitcoin awareness thru social media (It's a good idea, I guess).

For me. You have to open their mind in the current status of it, how the value increases and decreases.
As other say also make some remarkable about bitcoin and make it more attractive for them to be persuade if you pursue it.
One more thing, maybe it depends on the country you belong to, there are countries that only few knew about bitcoin but there are also country who is open to use bitcoin in their business and many are using it

Spread awareness or either start a business that accepts btc and other crypto so there will be a lot of exposure and more people will know it.
The most basic thing which all need to do is to make people aware of this concept of bitcoin. Still there is a huge population who do not have any kind of knowledge about bitcoin. In fact they don’t even know about this word of crypto currencies. Secondly, the role of government will carry a significant importance in this regard. If government declares this bitcoin as legal currency, then there will be n problem for the local business to accept bitcoin.

To be really frank how much ever we encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin and work with, they won't in my view because it is ultimately the government which decides what currency can be used in their country and the local businesses would follow that. So it is up to the government for encouraging the use of Bitcoin in their country. It would have a better effect than us trying to encourage local businesses to use bitcoin. Like encouraging local businesses in my country is useless because the government has already stated digital currency will nit be considered as legal tender in the country.

If we are the product owner releasing commodity in the economy then we shall keep a purchase mode as bitcoin. This makes the audience learn, understand about bitcoin.
Also when you wish to make salary payments etc try to generate their money in bitcoin and try to get some additional profit for them and pay them along with a bitcoin talk seminar or presentation, this let them start a new life. I feel if you directly welcome the local small business men into a seminar of bitcoin, they may feel tensed sometimes and lead a chance to loose trust on you.

Let them learn the importance of cryptocurrency before you encourage them in acceptance btc as a payment.I think we need to spreadout the benefits and good features of digital currency when they enage in businesses.

Presenting the bitcoin very well and detailed might help, if you can teach them and help them understand how to bitcoin works and how secured it is you can possibly encouraged to accept bitcoin for transactions. Presenting facts will be a good technique as well and pointing negative facts as well so they can evaluate if those risk are significant that could affect their business in a bad way.
