Bit pump has not started. But I believe the price will rise slowly to $500 around the halving time.
The big pump has started. The price is $515 in a few exchanges. That is more than 10% higher than a week ago. still not big pump small pump maybe, but it's still small Small pump is good for the long term stable price. The big pump in 2013 caused three years of bear market. steady increase is better than any pump, bitcoin is increasing slowly, this is good that's not how adoption works. Slow growth is not sustainable, nor is it desirable. Facebook didn't need 50 years to grow from 1 million users to 4 billion users. Bitcoin won't need to either. If it goes too slow, bitcoin will die. And as the amount of users increases exponentially, the price needs to increase exponentially as well. Sure, it will be volatile, but that doesn't matter, that's just the way it is. And once we reach saturation, only then we can be stable. This is just not the time for stability. You can already see now that the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher so that is really nice, but of course you dont even know what will happen later in the future. And that is the problem but people with Bitcoin already are now holding it until they can sell it with a lot of profit. I would like to hold the bitcoin for a few more months at least. If the price rise to $2000 in 6 months, I will sell.

When it is in 2017, $2000 is not overvalued. When in 2020, $10000 is the reasonable price for that year.

No one in his right mind expects the price to go up all the way to $10,000 in a matter of 4 years. It's not only unrealistic, but also beyond insane to be honest. The most we can realistically expect by 2020 is the price to reach $2000 at most. And even that is quite uncertain.

The bitcoin price went up 100 times in the last four years.

This is an old thread. I don't know why people insist in answering a question that has lost validity because of the great variation in the current bitcoin conditions and value. But this is just a natural consequence of newbies looking for increase their post count.
