Nobody upgrades their servers due to a DDOS attack. What they do instead is simply use something like Cloudflare. Its that annoying message that makes you wait 5 seconds before forwarding you to the website.

Its almost impossible to upgrade your server to the point where they can withstand a DDOS attack; unless they are Apple, Google, or Microsoft.

The problem with the milestones is that many people use multiple accounts and use VPNs and have like probably 50-100 different alts, and right before the winning number they basically bet like crazy trying to strike the winning number. Then they just disappear and won't gamble again. While the honest gamblers don't reap the rewards they deserve.

Hence this is the reason why you need to set a really high bet base limit or just limit the amount of bets per second during that period where the milestone will be hit.

To be fair I don't know DDOS attack works but as far as I know server resources play a big role in it. At least it will solve if there is traffic problem on website to keep users play with max speed.

It's the biggest ddos in history, they don't use cloudflare, yeah? So how did they solve it? With servers and great system maybe, that's just my opinion.

I read the article and yes its fairly impressive.

Github though has probably more knowledge and many connections like they did with Akamai to get the issue resolved.

The way they re-routed the traffic was smart and I am wondering why sites don't just implement something similiar but will need some way of finding out which traffic is legit and which isn't.

Its pretty crazy that sites are still getting attacked the same way as back in the 90s. I would of assumed there would have been better protection for these types of attacks by now.

There will be no additional points for goal time guesses. It is exist just to determine the winner when there are two or more participants that have the same highest points on each match. The max point for each match will be 50. 25 points for predicting the correct winner and another 25 points for guessing the correct score.

This is just my own view based on the previous quarter finals assessment. I could be right and I could be wrong!

Really? Do they have issues? I guess they know whom to contact because burst was the first altcoin (among not popular altcoins) which was added on Bitsler because a lot of people were sending requests and if I amn't wrong developers contacted them too (don't know if it's true).

Isn't bots controlled by humans as well? If they did that a lot of normal members will suffer as well, the sad thing here is that a lot of real members might not participate as they lack the time needed to know the promotion as well. So changing the date of announcement will do no good for the real members it might be even beneficial to the bots as they will have less competition in the promotion.

Yes many of them are going to spam on this but it is because of it is not a big deal for bitsler as I say why bothering abot this thing anyway? It has been running for so many billions and yet suddenly someone complaining about this. It wont be that easy if the guess should be in hour, minute, and second details. The one with closest prediction win, even if we know it will happen in day X and xx hour but it wont be easy to predict the closest minute and second and obviously the prediction should be posted before it is getting closed to the billionth bet.
