The very first post in this thread clearly staets there's an Android Wallet: http://sexcoin.info/clients/android/sexcoin_wallet-0.10.9.0.apk with another one just days away from being listed.

I can't imagine what you think is a great website if you think the SXC is "horrible" - I think it's very well laid out (no pun intended)

Well, i have been researching alt coins and must of them have really clean layouts. Easy to navigate and friendly to use:


Ethereum
Dogecoin
Litecoin

Sexcoin website has a lot of information, greats tuff actually. It is just all over the place.

hmm so the Mac wallet is taking forever to synchronize but I downloaded the windows wallet and that one is almost complete in less than a day.

Mac says 1 connection, Windows says 5.

Should there be a difference?

The dev team looks for more than a price when selling off (or donating ) coin. I think you would find us very generous, if the reason you want the coin will be used to strenghthen sexcoin's position. In other words, if the buyer needs the coins to open a web-store, or if the person needs the coins to fund a project that will increase sexcoin's utility. Sexcoin's largest weakness has been its loss of utility over the last year. Both Poloniex and Bittrex have expressed an interest in listing the coin, but negotiations have fallen apart when we cannot sufficiently answer "What can you do with it right now?" This, to us, feels a bit like a catch-22 but it is the reality.

I cannot tell you how many inquiries I field from people wanting to buy large quantities of sexcoin for cheap; almost invariably what they want to do is fund a small (or large) pump-n-dump.

I'm not posting this to discourage you, as a matter of fact we really want people that can see sexcoin's potential, and I'm really glad to see you so active on the thread. Welcome to the community!

Not my experience with the Mac OS one, I am here about a week and still working. The windows was done in less than a day.

So the client wallet has to go over all the blockchain transactions to be synched right? Why can't the new client be released with the full blockchain or parts of it to speed up the update?

Can I try that? like getting the files from the folders on my Windows and placing them on my Mac? Or would that corrupt my client?

Taking a week to sync is way too long. I think I usually sync in about 8 hours tops. Usually when my client is seriously chugging on sync its because I'm tight on disk space. Are you sure you have enough? The debug logs will hold some wisdom for these kinds of problems. Also, I've run into issues trying to sync two clients on my LAN at the same time. If you are doing this, make sure UPNP is active, make sure firewalling is not an issue, and make sure ports aren't conflicting.

I've never tried moving the data files in from windows to mac... It may work. Just make sure you get them in the right place. Also make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN you've made a backup of wallet.dat if you have any coins in your wallet before trying anything like that.

We have plans in place to make a bootstrap file available for the new client, which makes syncing go even faster, but still not on par with something like electrum.

I'm pretty sure I posted a how to move your entire SXC Wallet onto a USB drive (thumb or HD) over on the SexCoin Forum...

Even if you have an alt coin that automatically installs to the program files directory for windows, you place the contents of that directory into a new directory of an external drive eg

you then move the files from the

C:\Users\((your computer;s name))\AppData\Roaming\Sexcoin

directory.

You then create the following bat file:

and then only run the program via this bat file (otherwise you will have new contents of the C:\Users\((your computer's name))\AppData\Roaming\Sexcoin directory...

And, Lava thanks for the offer. I think I am interested enough in buy directly from the exchanger at the fair price. After all, if I say I am interested and then I start cutting corners or trying to get a deal, what kind of credibility I would have.

I am not interested in pump and dumps. I know what they are from the stock market point of view. I am sure that is basically the same over here. Not interested, don't have the time.

I will use the coins to send over to some friends with the android wallet app and see what they come up with.
