Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets?

It is a way of keeping the bitcoin safe. A lot of hackers are surrounding this area because of the fact that bitcoin have a large price so it would be a target that is good for the eye of those thieves. An easy 2 bitcoin hack can make them a lot of money in just an instant.

I do use just one wallet, but i understand the purpose of those people which use more then one wallet, they just distributed their coins to keep them safe, soo if something happens to some wallet they still get bitcoins at the others.

I think its because they just want to have a wallet for every transactions that they do. And they will assign a particular wallet for each of it.
But I guess, all wallets were just the same use and its only different with the charge of mining fee for sending transactions.

Most people that I know don't use many wallets personally I use only two,one online (coinbase) for receiving and sending small payments without having to pay any fees and one hardware (Ledger Nano S) for storing my Bitcoins,it is much safer and I have full control of my coins I would never use an online wallet for this purpose.

but i think they are doing this only for security purposes, as there are a lot of people who have such a good amount of bitcoin in their wallets so they wan to have full security to their bitcoin and therefore they use different wallets for keeping their bitcoins safe.

people have so much money so they fear to store all money in a single wallet, because if one gets hacked them other wallet will survive. but poor fellow like me usage only one wallet that too empty. like 0.01 btc only i have in my wallet. so hacking my wallet is worthless.

I for one uses four different wallets for different purposes and ease of access. Also, just like keeping fiat, you need to be knowledgeable on how would you keep your money; coins should be put in a coin purse, a couple of hundred dollars should be in a leather wallet; load some of your eDebit cards if you like shopping online and keep your savings in a bank. The same ideology could be applied to bitcoin, too, since bitcoin is money.

Well, don't worry about it, that you have less amount in your wallet, if you see that we all are struggling human being, and i think that we are best people because we earn money from our hard working.

those who have more amount they only usage multiple wallet to secure their account if they ever get hacked. all with digital one can't take risk of keeping high amount in just one wallet so they distribute their money in various wallet. also sometimes due to compulsory user are forced to use other wallet.

yeah they want them for security but one more thing is there which becomes the reason that why they need different wallets as whenever we need to use our bitcoins on different places for different purposes then we often like different wallets for them

you are right that people use many bitcoin wallet for the security reason there is many bitcoin user face to hacking problem then they using multiple wallet for their bitcoin and they divide their bitcoin and then keep it in multiple wallet.

Losing your coins isn't really a problem if you set up everything on a clean machine and store it away offline. Just make sure you have saved several back-ups and you'll be fine. More wallets are mostly used due to privacy reasons, and not so much because of people being afraid of losing their coins.

I think today there are many wallet that you can access using your cell phone, they use android and ios system, maybe you can see it in PlayStore

Yeah there are wallets that you are able to use for storing your bitcoins, you just need to download them. And that is why many people are using different wallets or many wallets just for them to try it all out on how good a bitcoin wallet is. That is one of the reason and I'm thinking for another reason is to make them feel safety.

Some people use many Bitcoin wallet specially those people who wants to earn a lot of bitcoin every week for signature campaign plus many accounts here in bitcointalk. As for me i only use 1 Bitcoin wallet , 1 is enough for me to received and send bitcoins.

it is very possible. bitcoin wallet reproduce address can also bring opportunities to earn more money. we are free to use it. it is a choice.

Yeah May be that is right but use so many bitcoin wallet will make them get higher fee cost. but If they do this becouse of security . It could be the best way,becouse everithing in the internet is could be hacked by some one who know about how this texhnology work.

I think it is not a problem of lack of use of many wallets are you going to feel confused because it uses a lot of wallets and other is the fee you're going to spend more. yeah it is a risk that you will be able to when using many wallets, but it was not a problem because you benefit with higher security

That's true and if you are holding higher volume of coins then its better to diversify them in multiple wallets to minimize the risks as bitcoin world is full of risks and uncertainty.

Because it is allot saver to have more wallets instead of just one of them with all of your Bitcoin with in. With multiple wallets you are allot saver and can overcome the fact that you can lose all your Bitcoin at once. 
If you store everything in one wallet and lose that wallet you have nothing.

why people use many bitcoin wallet? good question. I think they use a lot of bitcoin because they wanted more security, so they are using bitcoin wallet is not just one

I think two wallet is enough. One cold wallet to store most of your coins and one online wallet where you put bitcoins that you can access and spend easily. Any more wallet is just redundancy and will just expose you if you are using same password for all your wallets.
