IMO ESET is still the best for macs  I am using windows 7 64bit and the best anti virus for me is avast . i have also usb disk security to scan first the usb flash drive when it is inserted. |

I think it is best antivirus ESET SMART SECURITY.
because Eset able to scan very carefully, and I liked most of Eset is the protection of connection to the internet is pretty good.

i use zone alerm . (Anti virus and firewall ) and Malwarebytes . I keep my computer's security on the front too lately.

for me its Panda anti virus because it lightweight good for my old computer. If you want lightweight antivirus I recommend this panda antivirus good for low ram no hassle.

Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to the best anti virus and looking at the response everyone has their picks.I do think that Avast and Avira does provide the best anti virus and i am using their free version which i think is more than enough if you are having other warez alongside those to protect your PC.

Avira and Avast are simple AV programs. Kaspersky is best in class but its hard on the computer. It uses too many resources and ties up your processor checking everything constantly.
Nowadays you don't really need an antivirus program you need an antimalware program and malwarebytes is the best.
