I haven't heard of any banks that accept Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital currency and not a physical money. As far as I know, the things they accept in the banks should have physical appearance such as fiat and gold. Aside from that, bitcoin is now a competitor of the banks.
Do you think it will happen in the future? Me, I do not think so, bitcoin is a payment system and that is the only thing the bank can give to it, we have to be more realistic here, bank accepts fiat because it can easily be monitored and in the first place it is created by the government.
We have our own world which is the crypto world and with that we also have our own rules to follow.

Well i don't think so that any banks would accept bitcoin because there are still markets are not accepting bitcoin as payment. But if bitcoin was approved or considered as real money maybe the any banks would accept bitcoin.

Yeah banks don't accept bitcoin directly. Bitcoin has been considered as a money around the universe but it have got acceptance similar to the fiat currency that's circulated for all needs. More banks have started trials about the bitcoin usage within the banking system through blockchain technology.

Well they dont want something which they cant have control of. Banks and Governments will always make sure that they have the control over their wealth. What if someone deposits 1 btc today with a price of 950$ and the next day the price reaches 1200$ and the user wants to cashout now.?
That will be a terrible loss to them if you think of such scenario.

Bitcoin is a competition to banking system so I don't think that banks will ever support bitcoins or will start accepting bitcoins ever in future and even the Government will not stand in support of bitcoins as if bitcoin gets on the mainstream then Government will loose all its control on money that they have on fiat at a moment.

- Sure, banks are very unlikely to accept bitcoin, bitcoin is threatening the existence of future banks and bitcoin is very difficult to control, so banks will not support bitcoin. The bank has not found a solution suitable for combination with Bitcoin
- But I believe in the future, the bank will thrive in the field of digital money, which will help bitcoin to be more likely to integrate with the banks. However, the first condition for banks to accept bitcoin is that the government must accept it, this is also the most important condition in combining bitcoin with banks

Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

I remember reading an article about the USAA a while back having bitcoin balances. It was through Coinbase, I believe, but was the first time I had seen a bank, especially a military bank, embrace bitcoin. It's still.integrated, so I guess the experiment is working for them ATM Wink

I'm really curious if it is really so

On the other hand, we could well expect something like that from special agencies like CIA or NSA. After all, if they have undercover agents working as drug dealers, they should possess some drugs like cocaine or ecstasy (and even sell these). Why not Bitcoin then? I suspect that at least some Bitcoin mixers are either directly established by such agencies or in the very least giving them valuable information about big Bitcoin transactions. So if you big into money-laundering and similar criminal activity, you should stay away from them (but you likely already know that)

I think it would be very difficult for banks to accept bitcoin, because basically, the bank is a government program that is legal. bitcoin does not include transaction or investment instrument that is legal or illegal. but, I think it would be good if there are banks that accept bitcoin, because it will be easy access for users bitcoin, to turn Fiat into a bitcoin.

In my thinking, we all have no clear answers that banks accept bitcoins or not. Because someday ago, my friend told me that in some countries some banks accept bitcoins. But i am not sure it is true or not, also if it is happening than it is good for bitcoin's users.

How they accept bitcoins? And what banks have with bitcoin, I mean why would they start to accept it? More important is what we can have from that, what benefit?
I already have a wallet where I store bitcoins, when I need something I send bitcoins from my wallet to pay for that.
What you two are talking about, do you have any reasons why would banks start to accepts bitcoins? You can exchange your bitcoin for any currency on online exchange site and then you send that money to your bank account.

If you really think about it you will see there are numerous advantages in banks accepting Bitcoin

The most manifest benefit is that you won't need exchanges to first send your bitcoins from your personal or web wallet there, then convert the coins to fiat and after that send the proceeds to your bank account. Each of these steps involves fees (sending coins, converting them, and sending fiat), so you may end up losing a substantial amount of money (up to a few percent). Having bitcoins directly in your bank account will most certainly make commercial sense by allowing you to save on fees. But this is not the only advantage, obviously

There is no banks that accept bitcoin as their deposit or withdrawal transactions because if they did that then their government will punish them because it is more like promoting bitcoin rather than fiat in doing transactions like deposit or withdrawals. It will take a lot of time for a bank to accept bitcoin because they will clear what is bitcoin to their self first.

I have noticed that you are quite a supporter of banks accepting Bitcoin. Nothing wrong with that of course, but some times I have the feeling that you lose sight of reality in some of your opinions. I personally am having the complete opposite stance in this subject, so I fail to see the 'obvious' benefits of banks accepting Bitcoin. Aside from saving on fees, what are the other benefits according to you?

This time I have not seen a bank that already accept bitcoin, but some dev bitcoin have opened or making bank scheme in bitcoin. and exchange with ATM in bitcoin has been circulated widely, if only bitcoin accepted in bank , some Developher bussines with bitcoin will suffer losses, but if bitcoin accepted in private bank can make uphill bitcoin with $. I saw XRP, altcoin in cooperation with the private bank and XRP has marketcap No. 3 at a price of 3000 satoshi, or $ 0.031,.

In Australia, I think Westpac at some point accepted Bitcoin. It was either through a partnership with Coinbase or their own personal venture. I don't know if they still provide that service though.

Can you please let us know the names of those banks?
And of course the countries where they operate.

I doubt there are real banks that operate with bitcoins not just receiving your usd from an exchanger. That has nothing to do with bitcoins.

Probably not, for several reasons, there are not many people using bitcoin to begin with, then banks want know who you are and how you got your money, so many users are not going to use that service and finally why the banks will help bitcoin to become more accepted?
