According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

The Bitcoin QT for wallets I have more funds.

And then there is blockchain.info for wallets i use on a daily basis. When I am not at home I can freely access my bitcoins. without the hassle of an USB.

Sometimes I use exchange wallets for spending, but the high free prevent that most of the time (f.e. when I pay someone 0.01 BTC).

Bitcoin Core: as Hot & Cold.
Yes it takes some time to sync with network but it's most secure way. I might think switch into Armory as Hot wallet (ASAP I find out a way to  migrate of Blockchain).

Yes BlockChain is a good online wallet, but don't forget that you need always to have back up.
So have another wallet when something happen with BlockChain than you the other wallet.

I use coinbase for my wallet.  I do this because I feel that it is secure and also it makes it easier for me to transfer my BTC into USD in a blink of an eye, faster than what I have seen with other wallets.  This concerns me because if I ever see the fall in a bad way, I want to be able to get out anywhere I have a phone to access Coinbase.

I am aware that perhaps it is not the best option, but I am using with some frequency the Xapo wallet because when I join this Bitcoin world someone recommended me to gain my first satoshis through some faucets that are paying directly via Xapo, but nowadays I am testing other wallets.

I'm just like you I use blockchain due to the advice of my friend, he said blockchain is the most flattering wallet.
Do Epay belong to the wallet as well? I also use it to store the results of faucets

For long term savings of 20+ BTC, I use armory on an old laptop of mine that is disconnected from the internet. For everyday transactions, I use coinbase (free TX fees ftw!), and for somewhere I can withdraw from into my coinbase account, I use blockchain.info. I also use electrum if blockchain.info is down, because it regularly is.

I myself use 3 different wallets. One is on my Android device, one on my desktop PC and one online.

The one i like the most is on my desktop, MultiBit. I like it because you can quicky generate new deposit adresses and keep track of your incomes and outcomes. I only use Blockchain for some payments, and on my mobile phone i have MyCelium wallet, which i use for mobile/QR code scanning payments.

What wallets do you use and which one do you prefer and why?
i like desktop ,one is called okcoin Smiley

I think its also considered as a wallet 'cause you also store bitcoins on that site. Its good for faucet users to store their little satoshis they are claiming. But do not store big amounts on that site as its not secure compared to real wallets. And regarding to blockchain.info wallet, yes its good but I don't agree with your friend. There are much better wallets than blockchain

I use Multibit Classic and I am satisfied with what offers as well as ease of use.I do not hear much of a positive opinion on MultiBit HD so at the moment I do not plan to switch to a new wallet but I will certainly explore some new options Smiley
You are right, don't use MultiBit HD it's worse. Better to keep using MultiBit Classis, you will regret if you change it.

Better always go with blockchain This is whats known as a hybrid wallet meaning the company stores your wallet online but they do not have access to your private keys. However since the wallet is loaded from their servers some trust in the company is still needed.I will Recommend for beginners who are trying out Bitcoin
