How long is the DCR locked when I use PoS with a stake-pool?
What are the expected returns?
Do I have to reclaim my DCR when it is in PoS or will it get "unlocked" after a certain amount of time?

About 4,8 months max, when ticket revokes and coins return spendable (without reward in that case) but the average time is around 30 days.  Reward is 1.5648 right now. Majority of tickets will vote before 4,8 month max. Funds are in your control all time, but they are locked until ticket votes. After vote funds return spendable with reward.

Thanks a lot! Answered everything I was wondering about. : )
Adn btw... Very nice ROI...  Cheesy Should be 7,0% per year if calculated correctly?

Good =) Also join the slack and follow the great project!
Return is around 2,5-3%/month, so quite lucrative in long-term.

Hey daily_elephant,

Decred has a 1 tier network.  Dash has a 2 tier network (masternodes).  With Decred, your coins are locked after purchasing tickets (voting rights) (constraining the supply).  With Dash, you can sell a masternode at any time.  With Decred, anyone can vote / participate.  With Dash, only the wealthy can participate.  With Decred, upgrades are precoded into the chain.  The chain automatically switches to the upgrades after a successful "yes" vote.  With Dash, the developers must then code the upgrade after the vote and hope everyone switches.  Decred is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), designed from the ground up.  It has a unique consensus system (which makes an "ethereum classic situation" impossible), is self funding, and is written from scratch in Golang by very well respected bitcoin developers (BTC Suite).

You can read more about Decred in official docs:

At the beginning of this year, the price of Decred was very funny. Who believed in this project now have a big profit, about 12 x from the beginning of the year.

And I believe the 12x profit doesn't end there, expect it could worth a lot more by the end of this year and the upcoming year. Just imagine when Decred reached its full potential.

Yes it will be something very big. I'm trying to buy more but the price is constantly growing, I already lost hope of a rollback.

Even though the price is as high as ever, I consider investing more in Decred. It seems to be ahead of the hyped DASH, imho. And looking at the Roadmap for 2017 it  has a ton of potential.
1) Can someone explain to me how private DCR transactions really are? Is it more like Bitcoinish pseudonymous or Moneroish anonymous?
2) Also, what is the best resource page to see which of the proposals are actually implemented?

Thanks in advance!

edit: While I'm at it, one more question:
3a) What is the average block-time for DCR?
I saw that lightning network is in the work to be implemented.
3b) Am I right that this would make the implementation of a "instant-send" function unnecessary?

Decred is pioneer of decentralization, like Bitcoin was pioneer of blockchain.

Potential of project is huge.

Hilarious, you claimed totally incorrect thing, decentralization is the bitcoin's core value and concept, it is raised in 2008. Decred is pioneer of XXX, but not decentralization.
