Interestingly, he was downcast when he recalled how Decred suffered a brutal one-year downtrend during Bitcoin’s bull run. However, he stated that the development team never stopped working on the project and will never stop working on it.

^dcr is a scam POS scheme to enrich Meni Rosenfeld and his Israeli national bitcoiner hoarders club! :-D look it up!

Me, too. Keep in Wallet carefully.

I suggest you to withdraw coins from exchange and lock them in Proof-of-Stake mining Wink
Nice to have some free coins, while you waiting for the rise.

https://docs.decred.org/mining/proof-of-stake/

Can we PoS ourselves?

I'm doing it on my very old laptop. I do have optic fiber Internet though, and just keep it on 24/7.
I'm thinking to move my mining operation to the Raspberry PI I bought but I was too lazy to do it so far.

Go for it! You don't need them pools if you have a good enough Internet connection.

As in solo PoS mining?  Yes, but you will need 100% uptime on your wallet or you risk missing votes / being rewarded.

Otherwise, you can use staking pools. Good list with pool stats at the bottom of the page: https://dcrstats.com/

And if you don't want to handle staking yourself, there's the Evolution pool, which handles buying and staking tickets for you: https://evolution.dcrstats.com/en

It's worth noting that the Evolution pool involves giving control of your funds away. The Decred devs strongly advise against this, with good reasoning.

I read about how stake-grinding applies to bitcoin. How does it apply to POS coins, and especially how does it apply to decred?

This is valid reason to love Decred. Again we have chance to buy cheap coin as price is dropping but good sign for those who really love this coin and have trust in the team.

When the fuders and trolls appear, we know that everything is going well.
We're still double what we were yesterday and three times we were before yesterday even with the rise of bitcoin.
Meanwhile other coins bleed

slow but sure.
will be down.

I've been told some time ago, when the price will drop below 0,01 BTC even deeper, but no one believes what I say. Now prices are getting down.
