Just curios,
What hardware is everyone running for these puzzles? Whats the dream setup for you guys?
I'm only using my Rog Strix 16 CPU laptop, not the GPU because I'm trying to find the right code that would minimize resources. I'm still looking after it Congratulations on the new KeyQuest V1.3, it's by far the fastest for CPU. I tried KeyHunt, Cyclone (all 3 versions) and yours surpasses all in speed by at least 4 MKeys/s. Nice coding. Thanks. Also I really like your Minto.day pool, great frontend mate ! This tells it all. The man is just good at marketing. He promotes himself with duplicate user accounts, nothing more. He’s not even half as good as the Digarans. We are the strongest in the universe. We are half-human, half-AI. Your post alone shows just how out of touch and downright paranoid some people on this forum are, making up stories and whole lives for themselves. If you honestly think Benjade and I are the same person, you need a good psychiatris and maybe a prescription for Xanax. I could’ve quoted someone else, but of all the programs I’ve tested, only Benjade’s works flawlessly (and Retiredcoder’s for pubkeys). Keyhunt by JLP used to be an option, but it’s clearly outdated now. So when guys start patting themselves on the back and acting like geniuses, it really pisses me off because they can’t even release a working script. Publishing code that won’t run is like selling a car without an engine: it’s worthless. Beginners see that junk, think they can crack a key with it, rent a server for nothing, and waste their money. Some folks here need to climb down from their pedestals, show a little humility, and quit treating everyone like fools. I have noticed that you promoted mintoday .. And guess what ? you know the answer. Btw, incredible work on the forkk I'm mining on that pool with a solid hashrate. Promoted ? you are funny dude.. You are Date Registered: April 15, 2025 and you are acting like you where here for decade LOL Nice trolling I have multiple accounts, just too lazy to log out and reply from a different one Okay, well, I think we all understand, "I have multiple accounts" that says it all. Like I said, I’ve got multiple accounts across different devices, each with random passwords generated by gg. For security, I don’t bother using the same account everywhere. Yeah, I have a few accounts, yes I have an old account on this forum and I use that account only when it is necessary, but I’m not the type to pat myself on the back by commenting or liking my own posts from another account just to boost my ego. When I say I’m lazy, I mean it I usually don’t even comment or engage much. I mostly just lurk and read different perspectives. bbut here, you went after nomachine1. It doesn’t seem like you’re trying to have a real conversation; it feels more like you’re just trying to kill the vibe. If you don’t like something, why not just move on?! Why all the negativity !? Sure, the code might look like junk to you, but someone else could find it useful. We all know cracking this puzzle takes serious GPU power. Without the hardware, most scripts are pretty much useless. But bring the GPUs, and things change fast the script practically writes itself. People here are just tossing around ideas. It’s not always about solving the puzzle outright sometimes it’s about sparking thoughts that could lead to something bigger down the road. Puzzle 71 has, what, 1.18 sextillion possibilities? Good luck getting a supercomputer to crack that anytime soon. Still ffolks are sharing ideas, trying new approaches,, and experimenting with stuff that might pay off later. No need to tear anyone down we’re all just human, you know.

You have no idea how many people rent CPU or GPU servers in the hope of finding a key and living better days. I've been in crypto for a long time, I know what I'm talking about, it's the same here. And they're not going to find it with rag scripts; they're just misleading people. Especially if the script in question gives fake private keys and a bad calculation for high-value keys. If I hadn't said it, who would have? When you expose yourself, you have to be able to accept criticism, even if it's harsh; it allows you to improve. If Nomachine took it badly, that's his problem, but he could have easily laughed about it, so maybe it's because he knows he's making a mess.

How about showing off some of your scripts you made so that everyone can see what awesome code writing should look like?

I know C++, Python, Cobol, etc. and I started with Basic, so you can imagine my age, but I don't code for the public. Besides, why would I write a script when there are already some? Besides, blockchain-related code is not my field. I was in Cobol code for a major French bank. But I know how to recognize a functional script from one that came straight from the toilet.

Since you brought up experience, for over a decade I worked in some of the most high-stress environments you could think of, with dialed in Type-A alpha males who absolutely knew their sh#t and took every opportunity as a teaching opportunity. Calling me a "troll" doesn't phase me. I also don't care how you say things, if you're right and you're dialed in. When I see you calling everyone a troll when they're questioning you and you can't/won't give clear examples, or take the opportunity to teach it says more about you than it does about them. Everyone here is open and eager to learn. I'm humbly asking you to share your expertise/valuable skill. So either help or gtf out of the way.

Could you tweak the code to stop repeating the same key?!! I ran into this issue with JLC’s edited version. If there are, say, 1,000,000 possible keys, the script might nail the key in seconds (like within 10,000 tries), but other times it takes 10,000,000 tries! That’s straight up nonsense clearly, it’s reusing keys and wasting resources. Can you make sure your script avoids that? Thnx

Just to be crystal-clear: I’m not Virtuose. I opened this lone account purely to share KeyQuest after spotting the BTC challenge on this forum; otherwise I wouldn’t bother with an account at all. I’m not fussed about promoting my work, nor about whether you use it and I wrote it for my own needs first and foremost. It doesn’t earn me a penny, so I’m happy to give it away free of charge. I also work exclusively on Linux; I don’t own a Windows machine and have no interest in maintaining one, so please don’t ask for a Windows build.
With that said, happy hunting and may the keys fall in your favour!

Good luck solving any puzzles with that.
And what do you use at the CPU? Minto.day pool It makes no sense. You can't mine anything tangible with a CPU.

"It's weird that the hash160 of puzzle #71 matches an existing Ethereum address. Whose private key got closest to the address of puzzle #71 on your side?"

with every private key (which is a number) you have one public key (compressed and uncompressed) and an have a lot of different types of addresses. P2PKH (Base58) , P2SH (Base58), P2TR (Bech32m), Ethereum or Dogecoin you can have a bunch of different scripts using that public key too. you can see them here https://privatekeys.pw/key/0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001#addresses

But in this case, I'm not talking about a valid Ethereum address derived that way. I'm saying that the RIPEMD160(SHA256) of the public key from Bitcoin puzzle #71 — which is how hash160 is computed in Bitcoin — just so happens to match an existing Ethereum address that actually holds funds. That means someone’s hash160(pubkey) — intended for Bitcoin P2PKH — collides with an Ethereum address that should have been derived from a totally different process: Keccak-256(pubkey[1:])[12:]. It’s not just a weird coincidence. It raises a very strange question: What are the odds that a hash160 of a known puzzle public key aligns with a real ETH address? And even weirder — that the ETH address has a balance? I’m not implying this address belongs to the puzzle, but the hash160 collision is highly suspicious.

Do you know where I can read the original topic or documentation about who created the Bitcoin puzzle series? Was there ever any official explanation or theory behind them? Like — is there an actual hidden logic, cryptographic trick, or structure behind the puzzles? Or are they just pure brute-force challenges with no deeper meaning? I remember coming across a discussion somewhere that mentioned a possible pattern in the binary representation of some of the private keys. That made me wonder if there's a deeper structure or "signature" intentionally embedded by the creator maybe to make them slightly more solvable or at least hint at some logic. Would love to know if anyone has explored this angle or if it's just wishful thinking.
