The ASICMINER dividend was lower this week, so I expect that may be double current dividends in the coming weeks..  Also, the shares were bought at an average of 2.47 BTC, and the price has risen to around 2.85 BTC, so right there's an increase of 38 BTC over the 100 shares as well.

I'd also like to begin phasing out our less efficient GPUs

LTC mining?

Hi Carnth. As you may know I've switched our GPU rigs to LTC mining on a number of occasions when there was an obvious benefit do doing so. This has helped us maintain a yield that's higher than we'd otherwise have been able to achieve while we awaited our consistently delayed ASIC gear. At this time LTC difficulty is 633 and due to jump over 20% in 16hrs. Some of the original GPUs that the company was founded on are already only marginally profitable as it is. I've replaced worn out stock fans with hideous(but effective) kludges on the 5830 & 6950 and the 6870's fan doesn't sound too perty these days. The 7770's and 6770's(which undervolt and overclock well) should remain profitable for awhile still. The rest of them will not when the necessary computer to keep them chugging along is factored into the equation. They're just not efficient enough for these difficulty levels.

Cheers.

Any chance you will have shares on Bitfunder?

I've no plans to do so at this time, but that may be something I look at in the future. I'm stretched pretty thin as it is at the moment and don't want to bite off more than I can safely chew.

You can purchase MiningCo.ETF pass-through shares on Bitfunder.
MiningCo.ETF is a fund that holds shares in bASIC-MINING, as well as others.

As to our first ASIC powered dividend, please keep in mind that I didn't get the Avalon configured and mining until sometime after 8 EST last night, so we're not seeing a full day's dividend from it yet. Officially we've only received 0.23708058BTC since that time, the rest(0.56556372) is pending. It will take some time to confirm the blocks and get the payout. Our estimated round payout is 0.70324613BTC, there just haven't been very many rounds completed yet since powering up the Avalon.

I will pay out the confirmed 0.23708058(obviously) + the pending 0.56556372 and then add a bonus .2 to put us over the 1BTC mark before adding in the divvied up ASICMiner proceeds. This should put us over 1.25 for the day and we should handily beat that tomorrow when more confirmations come in.

Cheers.

Yes, sorry about that, I figured when I read about it in the BitParking thread.

Are you considering other pools (e.g. with PPS) or do you plan to stick with BitParking only?

Yeah, just read that post by doublec. My own bad, I should've checked.

I've tried out bitminter, slush, and btcguild a few times, but I always go back to bitparking. The payouts always seem more consistent over time. Slush is being reported as dead on the Avalon cgminer config though, I need to look into it when I have more time. I'd likely set up slush as first or second failover.

Cheers.

bitminter was the best for me

paying 1.5% for immediate payout, when stales/orphans were about 6% over time, subsidized by the namecoin payouts as well. Best deal for me. But I think mining across two big pools may keep your luck consistent

That's right they have a perks screen for those settings don't they. Shared transaction fees too as I recall...which will become important at some point. Thanks I'll have another look.

Cheers.

Looks like mining revenue will come in over 2 BTCs today. Grin

Edit:

I'm going to have to pay out earlier than usual today due to unavoidable travel requirements. Have a great weekend everyone.

Creativex, while we are throwing out pools, have you considered:
The Horrible Horrendous Terrible Tremendous Mining Pool

PPLNS, with user defined share difficulty. The higher the diff, the lower the fee. Plus if you find a block, the pool splits half the TX fees with you.

After thinking it over: the only problem is, it's a smaller pool so there will be some variance.  Undecided

Yeah that's a Horrendously Terrible idea. Smiley

I'm going over the pool wiki and will consider any reasonable option. Much of the variance will be minimized when we receive our batch 3 unit as I can then simply aim them at two different primary pools.

Cheers.

What do you think of getting on some bitfury chips (when they become available)?

Hashing @ 0.39 watts per 1GH/s of power.

We should get in on this. Shipping from Russia is the problem

Impressive result, thanks for the info. I'd prefer a single source for a finished product, but will look into it.

I've been in contact with a fellow that claims to have a Bitcoin mining device for sale. He's been unresponsive, vague, and it seems English is his second language, but he now claims to have the unit in hand. This sounds like an Avalon batch 2, but he's posted no pictures. As this is only 100 miles or so from my office I'm trying to arrange a meet & greet to examine the device. I'll keep you guys posted.

That would be great if it pans out being almost local and if the price was right
