Well dammit this really sucks, at least we have until the 31st to do something.
Not sure if I should buy shares that are low right now and sell them when they stabilize again or what.
Besides, Bitfunder sucks IMO, have to go through WebEx first or something crappy like that.
Bitfunder sucks but I haven't had any issues moving BTC to or from Bitfunder via WeEx. It's just an annoying extra step. Havelock is the alternative (better website IMO).

I know 10 shares is nothing to most of yall, but, for me, it's just a start. And I just wanted to share my story with yall. If, I'm reading this rite, basic has 1.4 TH online now, w/ 800 GH on order and 800 btc in reserve?
By rough calculations, if you were to bring all those reserves to bear on hardware. I'd say basic is about a 10th mining potential atm?
Forgive me if my numbers and ideas are wrong, I'm relatively new to this whole btc and mining. I understand all the reasoning why basic has decided to wait and I think it's the right move.
OK Please help me out if any or all my assumptions are way off the mark. TY and hope to invest more and learn from what looks like a good group.
TY all. Hi SendCookies, welcome aboard and sorry about the drama. bASIC has 718BTC in reserve which would put us over 30Th/s if we ordered from CoinTerra for January delivery. We're in a holding pattern because the price of equipment is falling so quickly that there's nearly zero chance of seeing a positive return from some of the current vaporware products. Even the recently announced $5/Gh sale over at hashfast for November delivery is a questionable proposition with chips that only exist in theory.

So, w/ the 30th number including reserves wat would you say the $/gh is for buying Basic at say .1 btc a share?

So, w/ the 30th number including reserves wat would you say the $/gh is for buying Basic at say .1 btc a share? I wouldn't care to hazard a guess as there are entirely too many variables. We have 1435Gh/s now and bitfury US has recently shipped products for August delivery which made ordering from them for October delivery an easy decision. This would put us at roughly 2235Gh/s or 43.29Mh/share, but beyond that I wouldn't feel comfortable speculating. We have a motion currently up for voting that would allow me to sell gen 1 equipment and continue the migration to gen 2 equipment. I anticipate this move will increase our hashrate further in the coming months as margins for both miners and vendors continues to fall. The market is changing so rapidly that assuming much of anything with a time frame further out than a few weeks seems like a mistake.

I don't mean to speak on behalf of creativex... but if the asset were to move to Bitfunder, the transition would be rather easy. Burnside provides complete lists of every shareholder. This list is fairly easy to import into Bitfunder. There wouldn't be much more involved than each shareholder logging on and claiming your shares.

A move to bitfunder would be sideways at best. Bitfunder is more clearly within reach of regulators than is btct.co.

So, I heard the news bout BTC-TC and panicked. I had just depo'd .4 btc earlier and figured buy up as much DMS.mining as I could. It was a lil less than $50 usd for 1 gh of of mining IMO.
And then BOOM!!! BTC-TC is closing. OMG OMG. I sold everything(at a loss), cancelled a loan in progress on btcjams to get back .1 in btc assets on hold(this was not bright as the loan look like it was gonna fund for 5 btc).
I had always meant to buy some basic mining but, was just priced out when I originally found btc-tc. After cooling my head I saw the price for basic and after reading thru a great many post here bit the bullet and bought my first 4 shares of Basic. After seeing the price drop futher, I move anohter .4 btc and bought another 4 more, w/ 2 more on order.
I know 10 shares is nothing to most of yall, but, for me, it's just a start. And I just wanted to share my story with yall. If, I'm reading this rite, basic has 1.4 TH online now, w/ 800 GH on order and 800 btc in reserve?

I would stay away from the "older" companies like this one. Their money making days are over. Not that they are doing anything wrong but the market has changed. There are new companies every now and who will give you a way better and quicker return. Just like Basic did if you got in early enough. I finally sold my shares from the older companies (with a big loss but still better than they are doing now) and invested in new things. I highly doubt these shares will go up again. People simply lost interest.

So… basically because they have no "hype"? I finally sold my shares from the older companies (with a big loss but still better than they are doing now) and invested in new things. Labcoin, ActiveMining? Those are guaranteed losses. And see here. Keep in mind, I'm no longer invested in bASIC, but… it seems to be a good time to go in if you want mining assets. How is buying at ipo and selling when it's worth 3 times as much a guaranteed loss. I seriously can't wait for your answer.

He answered the question before you asked it.
Labcoin & ActM have a combined hash rate of 1213Gh/s. Their share prices are clearly not based on fundamentals, but rather on something else...

So you made some change by short-term trading. We all do. Nice try at changing the subject - the truth is that most investors haven't been able to sell at more than IPO. Look at the volumes. Change of subject? Haha wtf?

I wasn't talking about either companies. It was that weirdo that was talking for me. I don't own shares from any of those companies. Quite stupid how you totally missed that. Then again you must have a little hatred inside of you because i said i don't think your shares won't go up anymore. So you attacking me is ofcourse more important than making sense. Anyway, don't bother replying. I won't visit this thread anymore. I'm interested in making money instead. Buh bye

Do you know what's the daily volume on Havelock ? Can see from the funds page https://www.havelockinvestments.com/funds.phpAverage about 300 BTC a day over the last 7 days Can be higher or lower depending on IPOs from personal experience it is quite liquid and probably will see a rise in users after the btct userbase looks for a new place to hang out in.
