He is obviously gone with the wind. I am not far from his home base and I am going to try to get over to the address that is listed sometime soon. I will let everyone know what I see.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Surely there are other established forum members that know creativex personally. How long before we try asking other forum members to find out what is going on? I'm inclined to think this must be eg health issues rather than any sort of a scam.

notice the crapload of coins that just came in?

10BTC in 24 hours...

looks to me like he more focused on mining than talking..

http://blockchain.info/address/1Hfp99tugY4H5FYEoM3hj4JDLzShzZ9ifB

I'll be laughing all the way to the Bank bitcoin store if we get 10 BTC every day. (prolly just a bulk pay out from something tho)

looks like we are up some 40 or so Bitcoins since he stopped talking...

EDIT.. Oh no looking further back it seems like we are getting 7BTC every 3 or so days from mining. (the payout limit must be set to 7BTC or something for that mining pool)...

FURTHER EDIT..

doing some quick math.. 1.4 TH brings in about 2.6298 BTC a day... thats prolly where there 7BTC is coming from... so the mining gear is still working 100% atleast.

Thank you.

In the mean time, why does he not simply pay divs according to the spreadsheet he has from Burnsides?  It means no trading of shares themselves for a while, an inconvenience to shareholders for sure, but it would be an important signal that he is not simply cutting and running.

He mentioned owning a second property where he could store the additional equipment, perhaps he has been in the process of relocating and tweaking hardware during the exchanges' downtime.

However, as far as getting away from the "law" and moving to such an extreme, his home and likely his close family's home are in MI and CreativeX implied they plan to stay there.

It seems so terribly unlike him to not provide even the smallest update, whether he had a family emergency or even "franchised"/sold the hashing hardware I would expect him to chime in. This makes me think he has certainly run into ...legal... issues, as I wish to give him the benefit of the doubt and refuse to believe he ran on everyone at this point in time.

Either you own the bitcoins(private keys) or you don't. However with moneroj, nobody knows what you own.

Well tonight maybe I'll call up the Michigan State Police and see if they've arrested anyone with the name Eric Corlew or have any recent records of anything happening with him.

What happened to our creativex?

Website is gone, in a few days BTCT will be gone.
We should make sure that the Eric Corlew indentity isn't fake:
- 6 contacts on LinkenIn
- 45 friends on Facebook
- hasn't used his ebay account since 2011 (probably bought it)

We can ask BTCJam what kind of information they have.

Does anyone know who he bought the avalon and bfl asics from?

I thought issuers had to verify identity with btct higherups in order to create a security?

I have a hard time believing he stole anything. He isn't really in the situation to run (having a family for instance), and if I recall correctly is a major shareholder of his own company, and still probably has more coins that bASIC. What would be the point?
I'm inclined to believe this too but either way we need to hear from him / find out what is going on. Undecided

This is false. I was never asked and never verified for the assets I created.

As far as I remember, creativex drove out and picked them up himself (remember the road trips he's had?).

I think its moronic ironic that most of the people who use or invest in bitcoins are libertarians and when they lose some money, through their own lack of diligence and foresight, the first thing they want to do is look for someone else to blame or run to the authorities.

I think if you used your initiative you would be able to determine that Basic Mining was probably one of the least risky of the bitcoin stocks but they were ALL RISKY.

there are no rules or guidelines in place about how people who issue securities should report to shareholders or when they should pay dividends etc.... so if (and when) they choose to do so is entirely up to them.

still nobody knows what actually happened to creativeX but there are many many things that could happen to make a guy stop talking to his internet friends for a month or two.

for example.. the IRS may have informed him that his operations require him to pay tax on all the money he is earning and/or that he has to be incorporated to continue operating... either of those two things would force a one man operation to go into lockdown for a month or two and try to sort through the legal mess to become compliant...

another example... I don't believe creativex is a programmer unlike many other bitcoin adopters so he may be may be in lock down trying to sort out how he is going to take on the shares directly and pay out dividends.

yet other examples are health problems, a death in the family or a simple burn out; all of which could cause a guy to stop communicating for a few weeks.

the bottom line is.. its not the end of the world if your internet friend and friendly local securities holder stops talking for a short while.. the world is not ending.. this is just the wild west...

those people who were stupid enough to invest more than they could afford to lose need to take a good long hard look in the mirror and then take a good hard look at a dictionary for the definition of the word Libertarian.

Just my 2c as usual...

PS invested in several mining operations.. all of them are down... but I still don't feel as bad as the guy who bought 2 pizzas for 10,000 bitcoins...

I think the general impression is that creativex is reputable, but that does not necessarily mean much. I'm just wondering, why this doesn't make progress.

Please contact me, if you like to help and call him. I have his contact info.

Edit:

I'm in contact with damiano, he will keep us updated.
