The volume is much better than in the past but it is still not excellent. Would be good to see volumes around a million. That would raise some awareness. |

Make sure you are running version 3.0.1 3. close the core, go to %appdata% --> HOdlcoin --> create a file named hodlcoin.conf --> click copy nodes in https://www.coinexchange.io/network/peers/HODL --> paste it to the hodlcoin.conf file, and save the file --> run the core, and it should sync again |

The interest rates for holding this coin looks interesting to me. I wish the wallet would be easier to update for most people who are new to cryptocurrency.

I heard about this coin quite a while ago and thought to myself "what a great idea" then promptly forgot about it.... oh well hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
Anyway - I got the newest wallet and it synced from genesis block to now in around 3-4 hours. Now my problem is that I sent some BTC to coinexchange.io so I can buy some HOdlCoin but my browser keeps telling me that it can't reach the server. I saw a post from earlier today saying that they had some problems but that all was safe, etc - they have "not been hacked".
Are there any further updates on that? Any idea if coinexchange.io has disappeared, or if not - when will it be up again and did I send my BTC into a black hole?

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

hodl.optiminer.pl downThe DB size grew to >4GB which it was not prepared for.  Originally, I set up this mining pool when there was no pool available as due to the forced locking of coins for 1 year. This is no longer true and there are alternative pools again. As I do not have the time that would be required to run and monitor the pool at a professional service level, I do not intend to bring the pool back up. I will work on restoring the DB and paying out the outstanding balances in the next weeks. Thanks for all the mining and don't forget to hodl your coins! In general, is there only one pool, Suprnova, for this coin now? It is quite sad that there is only one pool and I think that it is better to have 2 or 3 pools to diversify the risk of collapsing the whole network hash. |

boots fore example, also people are buying servers on amazon or OVH just for mining some cpu coins, https://ovhcloud.com/solutions# also newest cpu get 800-1200H/s with new miner, so its not so hard to get 6700h/s |
