is w00t a swap or a new coin?

usually a swap replaces the coin that was swapped for it with markets for 1337 then being replaced with markets for w00t  Huh
I realize that its a whole new chain and therefore keeping 1337 alive is possible but why?

let me add more to the confusion by calling it an ICO? One that only accepts 1337 as form of payment but instead of pocketing those funds they get burned. there are 2 main reasons why i got myself into this prolonged headache (besides the obvious one, continuation of the projects) :

1. Reducing the current actual amount of 1337 out there (especially the huge sell walls on some of the exchanges which prevented the price from moving)
2. to re-bundle the remaining value into a new coin with less inflation and a much lower supply.

You're missing a key element in your assessment. The major reason for the resistance of an upward move is because on Cryptopia, you don't have a bitcoin based pair. So what happens is that you have a path of least resistance for exit points and this is what causes the imbalance between the exchanges and the sub satoshi price as a consequence.

true to some extend but what about the other exchanges? i see way less coins sitting at 1 sat on yobit for example so from my pov thats an improvement and less of a roadblock. theyre on the wrong chain but that  problem will be  behind us too at some point.

its prolly not the smartest thing to sell your 1337 so cheap on topia but i cant blame the ppl that do. especially ppl who got in early have roi-ed already and can afford to sell their coins/stakes at any price. im sure youre aware of that too and its actually becoming less of a problem because of the lowered apr. just a few more halvings to go till we face another problem Wink

You also have to factor time value into the equation. Whenever I trade, time is more valuable than sitting at a particular price and waiting to maybe if it ever gets executed. I will always choose a faster turnover vs sitting there and waiting for something that may or may not hit. The longer it is, it then becomes a diminishing value as risks increases over time. There's bit more to it as well, but to keep it simple, that is pretty much the gist of it.

That time will come again soon enough. I'm making Cryptopia my primary market making activities exchange and bringing in liquidity and attracting traders. So in time, Cryptopia will be what Cryptsy was for alts (minus the shenanigan bullshit). There's already been lots of improvements. Got them to update the API, etc...

So far 64+ markets just on topia (can't really push it too it too hard without creating issues on the server side, so hopefully they'll continue to update their systems with the extra fees they're getting from all the 24/7 activities) not counting the other exchanges.

I think the delisting of coins bit on the other exchanges is bullshit, but they are kind of necessary for the time being until cryptopia grows a bit more with their systems and traders. So far I'm pretty happy with the progress and will continue to increase the activities as much as their system can handle.

Well at the moment I use Cryptopia to buy 1337 using Doge coins I earn from faucets and as I was just paid yesterday from FreeDoge I decided to pick up some more 1337 coins to add to my stack and staking weight. Most of the daily volume is done on Cryptopia and most of the time it's with Doge and sometimes LTC, hopefully we will start to see 1337/BTC soon.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

And it's now marked for delisting there and wallet is broken (the 1337 wallet on C-CEX, never mind that it works fine on other sites). Not impressed at all.  Angry

There always seems to be problems with the 1337 wallet on C-cex, it seems to be in maintenance all the time so I had to just sell my 1337 coins and then transfer that BTC over to Cryptopia where I have never had any issues since using them buying 1337 coins. I highly recommend people buy there 1337 coins from that exchange and just leave C-cex as they always seem to have problems and not just with 1337 coin but with many crypto currencies.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

The problem with C-CEX is that they refuse to reserve the coins to avoid staking. However they seem to, at least they say so, fully encrypt their wallets, but being an exchange they do have to make transactions from time to time and thus unlock the wallet. In that moment the whole wallet with more or less accumulated age hits the blockchain staking. That's something that tends to take a toll to the responsiveness even for the most efficient of wallets, perhaps made worse if the wallets are run on virtual servers which is the way I think it should be done. Anyway, this happening is known to cause trouble for (parts of) the chain, if it's not strong enough, or at least the wallet in question.

In the last couple of days 1337 has been steady at the current price and hopefully soon we will get back to 1 sats and hopefully stay there. I also noticed that there has been more trading on Yobit which is great for the coin as the trading is in BTC. So at least we are seeing people are willing to spend some BTC on 1337 coins as it was mainly LTC and Doge.

this is good news, however my main source for getting 1337 coins is the snake faucet, but because this site takes the average 1337 price from all the exchange sites which is a round 1 satoshi right now, i get less 1337 for playing the game.

also the old 1337 faucet at crypto4free.ml is dead...
