Hey guys,
Burst holder for a while here, but new to mining it. Which plotter do people recommend, and which miner? I'm on Windows 10 and have about 1gb of space I'd like to plot.
Any recommendations appreciated. I looked at the mining video from the website but it's for plotting with the old plotter included in the wallet (can't see the same button in the webgui type wallet I have (1.2.7))
I read somewhere 1 gb is nothing or even 100gb you need at least 1 tb to mine Burst they have a dedicated forum for mining and there are a lot of videos on Youtube for your references, even if you join a pool your 1 gb will get you nothing. You don't NEED at least 1TB...but the more HDD space utilized the better obviously. I think I started with 100GB and almost immediately hit a block worth 1200+ coins (lucky I guess). I'm mining with 16Tb and not getting much. A few hundred burst every day. This coin has zero profits when it comes to mining it. Just do it for fun and if you want to get into burst you really need to buy some.

I agree with you but we can always hope for future profit also agree with you that buying it cheap now is the best way to get Burst than spending for a new harddrive and electricity.I am more into buying it than mining it .

I've done both (bought in and mining). To the previous poster at 16 TB you should be getting about 34,000 BURST per month. If you're not around there you may want to check the pool you're in, etc.

If you're not around there you may want to check the pool you're in, etc. That's over 0.02 from the present rate of 78 satoshis not bad really and Burst price is increasing,it might double next year, really profitable if you have large space, anyway you can always sell your harddrive in case you do not want to mine Burst,no lost of profit really.

That's about $16.00 per month. I think more electricity is used than what is made. 78 sat price is kinda high, if prices goes back to 20 sats then buy. I doubt price will double any time soon as BTC is rallying now.

I personally have my computer on 24/7 anyway so BURST is mining in the background.

if your computer is on, you might as well mine burst. Can't imagine mining to draw much more power compared to computer on. HDD's spinning either way....

This is great to see and finally Burst is getting some well deserved PR. And I believe it's only going to get bigger as time goes on and like many of us believe 2017 is going to be a break out year for Burst. 2016 has been a great year for the coin but I think 2017 is going to be even bigger. Even with all this good news the price is still around the 75 to 80 sats so as I have been saying now is a great time to buy while it is at these prices.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

Yep. I'm mining and forget I'm even doing it. It's pretty cool.

You should be doing better than that. I mine with 80TB and average 5K Burst a Day. So you should be making at least 1K. Burst is very low cost to mine and from where it is Today the price can only go up. :-) Rich

Hahaha ya I was trolling. I agree, I wish we had metric in US too, it's a much better system. We in the US get to enjoy lots of derivatives in spelling. Behavior vs behaviour, or ton vs tonne for instance

The press are now noticing how good Burstcoin is in terms of mining it,hopefully there will be more news in 2017,there are a lot of positive things about Burstcoin compare to other coin that are graphic cards supported,2017 could be a big milestone for Burstcoin.

I'm really hoping so. The PoC algorithm and Asset Exchange make this coin really unique.
