Hello, Can anyone help me with this? I have a old laptop ( asus f3ja) and some hdd (old too) that i can connect to burst 24/7. It won't be that much hdd space ( less than 150 Gb) Should i connect to burst or is just pointless? Thanks
Welcome to Burst, pginvest! If you mine in a pool that suits your plot size ( https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/738/pool-recommendations) you should be able to mine a few coins. Approximately how many you could mine can be checked here: http://burstcoin.biz/calculator. Burst is extremely energy efficient, so you won't be bankrupting yourself by leaving your hardware on. Also, you could ask your friends if they have old HDDs lying around that you can use, or just buy a cheap one. Besides, it is easy to sell your HDDs again should you want to quit. We have a well-established Burst forum too: https://forums.burst-team.us. Come and say hello! There are plenty of options for earning burstcoins in addition to mining, such as for instance using the surfbar, various faucets and reinvesting your (mined) burstcoins into our integrated asset exchange for monthly dividends. Read more about that here: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/637/use-btc-faucets-to-purchase-burst-coins/35, here https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/645/surfbar-is-finally-working-and-paying-out and here https://forums.burst-team.us/category/6/asset-exchange. If you are feeling lucky, you could gamble your burstcoins in our brand spanking new Burstgames casino, read about it here: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1146/burst-games. Currently the Burst value is very low, but if you get involved with the community, you will learn that there is so much going on right now that I will be very surprised if the price does not increase substantially in the time to come. So, if you get in early, those few coins you mine could potentially be worth a fortune. Give it a try!

Sorry I had to change things!
0% POOL FEE With 2k deposit every 3 hours ! I changed this cause with this difficulty its hard to find a block It will start in 22:00 cet gmt-1 It will run so long as funds are available! Every miner will get a Bonus!
Only a couple hours left with 2k deposits come get'em while they are hot!I will be offering 0% pool fee the rest of this week! We are also going over the pool code to change a few things. Pool will have no down time! When bonuses are dry I will deposit what I can when I can! Dont like dry spells!

Pool will have no down time! When bonuses are dry I will deposit what I can when I can! Dont like dry spells! I have now had a full Day on http://burstpool.ddns.net:8080/ Things have run very smoothly with no glitches at all. I would like to thank tross for the regular 2K deposits he has been making. They have made the level of payment definitely greater than I would have expected on ninja. However it has also hidden the problem of a small Pool which is that not many Blocks are found. I am uncertain how many in the last 24Hrs as I can see no easy way of checking, however I think it may only be 2 Blocks? So when the 2K deposits stop it will be interesting to see how we go? I will however stay on board until I have found 5 Blocks in order to give something back. None found by me yet but my variance goes between zero and 5 Blocks in 24Hrs so this is not unusual. At that point decide if I want to stay. Couple of other things. I think a message / chat section on the Pool would be good, encouraging a community feel and an easy way to ask and answer specific questions. Like.... What do the green numbers in the last column on the current round mean? Rich

So just up in the UK and it seems I spoke too soon about http://burstpool.ddns.net:8080... Pool went down just before I went to Bed last night, and is still down this Morning. I had PM'd tross last night expecting things to be fixed, however this Morning there was a reply saying. No it wasnt planen either Router broke or something cut the DSL linear Please make Post in forum
Its 1am have to wait till morning So a wasted mining night here. I thought I would go back to ninja this morning, however it's obviously off on another fork at the moment. So yet again this is just not good enough. If people are going to take Burst seriously we can't have Pools "Left to the Morning" or off on obvious Forks with nothing being done. I will try burst.team.us for a while. Except that the Reward Assignment is not being picked up by the network.......................... I have noticed this before when the network is in a mess. So no mining for me Today. Rich

Good that it's back, pity you had to change the port number as that means people have to find out that it's changed and make an edit to get running again? I am not always on the same site as the Miner so that is difficult. Rich

I am using Burst Client for Win v0.3 (for Burst Wallet 1.2.4) You should update to v0.3.3 or later and resync your blockchain. It is an improved version with a couple of bugs killed and improved sync time. It should solve your problems. Remember to report bugs as fast as possible if any occur.

What is the status here now? Which pool is mining the actual blockchain...is there a way to tell? I am on burst-team.us, Block 265847. ninja has been stalled out on 265805 for the last hour and the Block Explorer is only on 265695.
I have tried looking on the official Burstcoin Forum and see nothing in regards to updates or official announcements regarding this issue, can someone point me to a link in case I have missed something?

Remember to report bugs as fast as possible if any occur. OK will try that, but never find updating the Wallet straightforward... To resync the Blockchain I have just been deleting the files in burst_db. Is that correct or is there a better way? Ninja still on a Fork. It's about time someone came up with some code or a script to catch this sort of thing? Rich

This should work: http://util.burst-team.us:8888/network. They are working on solving the problem and the main cause was the pools running on burst.ninja software. It is not known if that's the cause now or the update from 1.2.3 to 1.2.6 hasn't been smooth. In either case @Crowetic and @Haitch are working 24/7 to isolate the problem and solve it. It is one of the most important things right now, because it is limiting our ability to promote Burst. (You know, the plan @Crowetic has with the hacker thingy.) You should update to v0.3.3 or later and resync your blockchain. It is an improved version with a couple of bugs killed and improved sync time. It should solve your problems. It's about time someone came up with some code or a script to catch this sort of thing? Rich That is correct, just delete the folder burst_db or the files within it. Pick the easiest one. They are working on a solution.

Just install it over the old version. No deinstall, no deleting necessary. Can't get much more straight forward than that. http://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/
