Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear?

Banks aren't really going anywhere, there is a few Banks that have done bailouts and some even ranaway with peoples money while the people living in that area started to riot in the streets.

Banks can't do anything like keeping the citizens money safe while generating interest with it and letting the money increase for each citizen in that nation. The people should already know that letting a stranger borrow money will only cause a bad scenario and when that scenario happens the person who had let the money out of his lifesavings act like they didn't know that it would happen.

Common sense, I guess that some people just don't have it.

It won't happen that banks will be disappearing that way easily. But banks has the rights to use bitcoin with the method of payment of their clients for their services. Let's stop thinking that banks will be disappeared by bitcoin only the government has the right to do so and bitcoin is still new and not popular world wide.

Yes in future Bitcoin may become one of the legal currency in any country, But because of this bitcoin, no banks will disappear. And maybe Bitcoin can disappear, but banks will never disappear until where the physical currency will be there in the market till their banks will not disappear.

i think bitcoin can disappear banks but it is only possible when people totally stop using fiat and start using bitcoin and for keeping bitcoin they use onlie wallet there there is not use of banks but it is not yet possible as soon as we are thinking.

Banks would always find a way to adapt, with or without fiat money being the primary form of their functionality. They would just really, really prefer that Bitcoin doesn't enter the mainstream because if something like that happens, there would be a huge discrepancy with what they would be able to loan out and keep within their vaults, and that proceeds to limit their ability to make money off of FRL.

Blockchain technologies are applicable and useful for them; Bitcoin is not.

Both has got different functions. Bitcoin helps with the huge sum of transactions with reduced fee which is not possible through banks. Secondly banks provide an user friendly and ease of usage through its universally recognized network of banks. This makes common public to depend much on banks than bitcoin.

Time will answer us whether Bitcoin can sweep away bank or not. Bank is centralized and Bitcoin is decentralized. Both of them are not supporting each other. They are totally different and therefore, they can not live together in this planet. Bitcoin is still very weak. in the future, I hope that I can see more people using Bitcoin. The banks can also open business for the bitcoin. That will cut their operating cost.

Bitcoin is not that big enough that it can replace biggest financial institutions of the country and the users of banks are much higher in compare to bitcoins as not many are aware about bitcoins yet and those who are aware have more faith in banks in compare to bitcoins.

I agree no matter how people want to change the system it is already embedded in the culture of people passed down from generation to generation that if you have money put it in the bank.  So I guess Bitcoin will never make the bank disappear, probably bitcoin would have disappear but bank will stay forever.

Banks are in great demand, and save money in the bank a lot easier. If bitcoin has its particular use, the bank's clients can be even a child, while the bitcoin user should have a good knowledge and education.

I do not think bitcoin can destroy the banks. People do not change their habits easily. They also trust the bank too much. If the bitcoin starts to be used by a few billion people around the world, the banking system could end up.
But the states will not allow it. States always support systems they can control.

I think that's far from happening. Just imagine how many bitcoins are there, and if billions will be sharing it, then everyone will be getting a few thousands satoshi. It's not that the state wants something that they control, but it's all about the ease, and what's good for their economy. Bitcoin could help the economy, but as a currency of a certain country, it's hard to happen, but in banking, it is possible. 

Yes it would be a dream to expect something like this for the next 5 years. But a country like Liberland has accepted bitcoin as its official currency. It would be funny to wait for developed countries to accept such a thing.
But with technology everything changes and changes very quickly. After 50 years, maybe bitcoin can be used by half of world population.
States may have accepted bitcoin. 50 years is enough time for such a thing to happen.

I used to generally skeptical of other people's opinions about what what the country can take as a basis the main bitcoin as a currency. Valid for the defeated countries, it is not necessary, as there are enough strong national currency. But poor countries, then they have nothing to lose.

The concept of power can change over time. Economic systems, ideological systems, beliefs and religious views have constantly changed throughout human history.
So it is not possible to know what will happen to monetary systems in the future. Everything can happen.

Even if a currency is Popular it does not mean it will be accepted by Banks in anyway. Look at  foreign currencies such as Pounds and Yen, I never saw a bank outside U.K. and Japan that accept their currencies. It is all about the government they are the ones in charge of which money or currency a bank can accept, because it is a major decision on their part as it can affect the country's economy.

Even if a currency is Popular it does not mean it will be accepted by Banks in anyway. Every currency is accepted within the country how popular it might be, and only specific shops accept other national currencies. Banks too know the importance of bitcoin and its technology, so they make collaborative framework with fintech companies to provide perfect service. Banks won't disappear near future or when everything goes digital.
