any news?

No news to report at this time. Sorry for that. Though the network issues seem to have settled. Happy for that.

Hoping for a pool to support BERN consistently (without needed registration) so Easy Pool Mining can be fixed before compiling and releasing new wallets.

My mother has become very ill (dementia) and has been a great constraint and priority in my life. I'm not sorry for having my priorities in order. Wink

Thanks for the continued patience and support.

Firstly - sorry to hear about your Mother - dementia is a tough illness on everyone affected.

With regard to the pool - what exactly do you need? Crackfoo/zpool would be the obvious choice for a big existing user base but BERN has been running on our test pool for a few weeks now without any problems/interruptions/interventions so the code looks stable and we'd be happy to look at running a dedicated Yiimp pool for BERN.

Just let us know here or by PM if you want to chat.

Once again ...

Blessings and prayers for your mother, and for the family. This disease can never be easy on ANYONE involved with it, or affected by it.

As for the pool, we have setup a non reg Yiimp basd pool as well as our MPOS based pool, for mining BERN. Citrine is the non-reg Yiimp based pool in the CWI Pyroxene (theMINE) platform, is down until tomorrow, as we had a major mishap with the ISP (Digital Ocean) and the banking system we use here (Anti Crypto - as with ALL banks). It is all up and running again, except for the daemons/wallets. We should have that sorted by tomorrow evening (Adelaide - South Australia - Australia time).

We seem to have the issue with RPC refusal sorted, though more testing would be required on that front also BEFORE we commit an update/pull request to the official BERN Git.

One again Steven, you have our support in what you are doing, and if there is anything CWI (or myself personally) can do for anything, please let me know directly mate.

Awesome, thanks for letting it be known.

BERN v1.3 has been committed, https://github.com/BERNiecoin/BERNcash/releases/tag/v1.3 and the seednodes have been upgraded.

New Windows and Mac binaries will be released asap.

Thanks for the continued support!

We have setup our BERN daemon to be a full node also ...

So you can add our node as part of your .conf file.

Code:
addnode=bern-seed01.chainworksindustries.com

We will add the rest when we are finished the seednode backend for all our coins and partner coins (of which BERN is one).

Also, we will update the daemon this week when time permits for the BERN Mine in Pyroxene (theMINE) (http://pyroxene.chainworksindustries.com) and the staking nodes, which will increase the FULL Nodes nodelist as of next week.

Hope that helps.

Hey zerocoder! Welcome! Bernie or bust (your party)! haha Seriously, #BernieWouldHaveWon

Syncing will take a couple / few days, depending on your bandwidth. So yes, it will take some patience.

Hashrate is very healthy ("networkhashps" : 60875076608 - thank you miners!) and well beyond solo mining reaches, certainly for your laptop. However; 'Easy Pool Mining' will make it easy for you to get what little you can. It can be mining while it syncs also, though the syncing is using a lot of cycles. You will have even fewer to mine with while syncing.

Also, I must advise, please be sure your laptop has sufficient cooling and air flow.

Again, welcome and thanks for the BERN signature! I will send you a nice tip / welcoming gift right now! #rEVOLution

All good mate ...

We are slowly getting back on track and are slated to have the nodes and VPS systems all back on in FULL capability some time next year. I know that sounds liek a way off, but we will not be stopping at 25 seednodes this time. It will be a full fledged 70 seednodes for CWI and a full 'unique' 25 for our partner coins (no DNS redirection as before). The datacenters are being allocated and the funding is being sorted over the next few months via CWI-theFUND.

We are happy for any donations (your address for full control over donation funds) so when the time comes, we can distribute the donation funding as an addition to the CWI funding over the seednodes cost IF that is what you (and the community) are happy to do.

That is entirely up to you though as we will be going ahead with this in any case for our own use anyway (as we will be using the seednodes as staking nodes as well, if there are enough funds to put into each).

MINEtheBERN as well as FUNDtheBERN Wink

BTW - added another unique node redirect for now ...

Code:
addnode=bern-seed01,chainworksindustries.com
addnode=bern-seed02.chainworksindustries.com

Sure thing! We can use:

BKAkQ7sph1vXipVxYAm2sjTxtknNG8Bxgw

It already has 25k BERN in it. Consider that the first donation. Wink I will maintain and stake the donations until we are ready to distribute.

Thanks again!

All good mate ...

Thanks for that. We will not want any coins until this is finalized with all the VPS systems, many months from now. We are mining heavily in the backend as well as through our BERN Mine (MPOS based one). The Yiimp based one (http://citrine.chainworksindustries.com/) seems to have the BERN daemon fall over again and again for some reason. We will have a look at the recompile with the latest code, and hopefully that will fix it. This is the non-reg pool we are messing with, and being yiimp based is more prone to miners 'sort of' being used to the 'generic' (these days) way of mining since a HUGE amount of pools are using Yiimp as their pools.

Hopefully this week or next we will get that pool sorted to add it as one of the mining options for Pyroxene (theMINE).

Still a LOT to do and a LONG way to go, but we will all get there Wink

@chrysophylax Thanks for the nodes I think my wallet loading transactions a bit faster.
