Those are crazy high temps in config if you ask me...

Maybe the gpu's are exceeding 98 degrees and then ethos will shut them off

Enter:

show stats

when that happens and paste its output here...

But really you should cool those cards better...

Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

looks you have problem with 2 cards (05, 06 is not hashing). try change raisers, change pcie slots. it can be HW issue. 4GB ram is enough.

I purchased a copy of ethOS and have it up and running.  Is it possible to dual mine with Claymore?

If so how? An example in the docs or the pools.txt would be awesome Smiley

Anyway I like what you guys are doing. Yes I know there are several projects out there, but you're right... for large scale miners this is a very valuable tool.

You should edit claymore config file located in /home/ethos/ folder if i remember correctly...

There you need to add dcr pool an wall address...

Also i think you should add -mode 0

so something like this

-epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444
-ewal xxxxxxxxxx
-eworker xxxxx
-epsw x
-dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:2252
-dwal xxxxxxxxx
-dpsw x
-mode 0

Hi,
I have just buyed today and configured it. Woks ok, I still have to pc my cards but sure it will come.

My question is that I tried to configure teamviewr without success, how can i remotely access my miner? One ssh shell will be enough for my purposes.

Thank you in advance

why doesnt ethos have an swap memory? When I use command "top" there is no swap?!

We take very big efforts to reduce disk usage to prolong livespan of the SSD. Swap uses disk, and is not required for mining.

is it possible to undervolt not using globalpowertune?

Currently - 6x - RX470 --> 998 Watts at the wall (1200W Platinum PSU) @ 163 mh/s

I've seen some running at 780W +/- 30W using windows msi burner

Wondering if it would be possible using ethos?

I use the stock ethos eth miner software.

Switch to claymore, you will get better hashrate and more accurate pool reporting...

The way to do this is to edit config file and switch miner from default to claymore, and also edit claymore config file to point it to your pool and wallet...

If you need additional info I can help you...

Or better yet, if you just want to mine ETH, use sgminer-gm in EthOS.
Better hashrate, lower power consuption, NO FEE!

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

I use 6x MSI RX470 gaming x 8GB for Zcash mining with ethOS 1.2.0
My settings in ethOS for this card is:
fan (rig-name)    60 60 60 60 60 60
cor (rig-name)    1240 1240 1240 1240 1240 1240
mem (rig-name) 1725 1725 1725 1725 1725 1725
pwr (rig-name)   20 20 20 20 20 20

With these settings I running at 825 Watt at the wall. When I set the core and mem back to default then I use 785 Watt at the wall. (1200w PSU)
My total hashrate is 1670 Sol with these settings.
The temperature from the cards is around 45 degrees.
I think the settings are also working for ETH mining..., you can try it.

I'm having a  huge problem with ethos.
I have 4 x rx 480 and 1 rx 470.
All stock bios and clock.
When i start mining with claymore-zcash, after 2 minutes all cards stops mining except rx 470 and  i get error :

WRONG. sgminer-gm is NOT faster than claymore. I have a 480x and it hashes at 26Mhs with claymore and about 23-24Mh/s on sgminer-gm. The claymore fee of 2% still beats sgminer-gm.
