Autofan?Smiley

Now there is a thermal throttle that will kick in if you reach a specified temperature, in a per GPU basis. (Fan set to max, core set to 800).

Great i am testing them out on windows my rig with 2 x 270 works, but on ethos one of the gpus is going above 85.C

I will test the fans.

My fans are dead Smiley so that was the problem, great to se that they are going forward with ethos and getting the 1.0.6 out.

Keep up the good work

Fine tuning will be done as soon as we can gather the data on the new GPUs.

Can you assure me there is no malware inside this OS? Now I got one more doubt: what is the point of purchasing ethOS while you can have GenEthOS for free? Don't get me wrong, OP.  It's not a rhetorical question.

I am used to be the GenEthOS advocate and use it myself. But now I have to warn you that GenEthOS CONTAINS a backdoor to your system. The author said you may change the password from default one. What he does not say that the account 'work' has authorized_keys listing two of his ssh public keys. That means that if you expose GenEthOS to the Internet via ssh and even if you changed the password, it still can be accessed by the key owners, any software can run on behalf of that person including changing wallets to others or making a backdoors to run as a root on restart or via web GUI.

I was really disappointed finding this 'feature' in GenEthOS (not ethOS) image without any mention in the description.

Hi,

I have just created a SSD with ethos 1.0.4 on it.
I can boot and change the wallet en pool.
But I can't ssh the system.
"ssh_exchange_identification: read: Connection reset by peer"

How to fix this?

regards,
Enrico

You need to enable SSH/ remote connect from the console

i now have 3 rx480 and want to use it on ethos 1.0.6 but it is recognized as "Device 67df (rev c7)" and not showing up within the ethminer ... when will there be a patch?

Oh, that's why it didn't work, was ready to give up. Bought 16 GB ssd a couple of months ago but never used it for my rigs. Will wait for an update.

Interested to see how the ethOS team deals with the new drivers. According to this link ( http://www.pcworld.com/article/3090213/linux/amd-catches-up-its-new-linux-graphics-driver-already-supports-the-radeon-rx-480.html ) there are Linux drivers currently available, but with a couple of issues. The new driver only works on Linux 16.04 and only support newer cards like the AMD Radeon RX 480, R9 Fury X, R9 Fury, R9 Nano, R9 M395X, R9 380X, R9 380. So since two driver versions can't be ran at the same time, if I'm remembering correctly, we may be looking at a situation were we will have to choose from two ethOS images (pre480 and post480). I'm going to build a Linux 16.04 image to run my cards on in the meantime...

Good look ethOS dev team....Very interested to see what you come up with!

PIMP your AMD & Nvidia Farm. Finally a Multi-Miner Linux 16.04 Distro with Web Monitoring and On the Fly Algo-Switching. My PIMP AMD/Nvidia FARM: https://miner.farm/farmer/554/farmstatus

Work is progressing, slow reply here... the big presence of EthOS team is on IRC. Progress into supporting the new drivers (and thus 480s) is under way. Smiley

Any plans to support Claymore's miner? I'm getting a 5-10% lift in pure ETH mining hash rates using his miner but also like your platform. Just checking

Hi, this software is great! i have 6 licenses right now (5 online and 1 waiting) with 25 GPU's and now i'm waiting for more info about the new RX 480 and RX 470. It seems the RX470 will hash at 24mhs and drain 220w for +-$200? and what about RX480? someone have the info for all the GPU's? (at least, what can do a HD7950 and what is draining, what can do a 280 and what is draining, the same for HD7970, HD7870, 270, 280X, 290, 290X, 380, 380X, 390, 390X...

For example:

GPU type - hashrate - power draining
HD7870 - 11/12mhs -
HD7950 - 14/18mhs - 150/180w
HD7970 - 15/16mhs - 160/170w
HD7990 -
R7 270 - 13/14mhs -
R9 280 - 14/18mhs -
R9 280x -
R9 290 - 24/31mhs -
R9 290x -
R9 380 - 19/21mhs -
R9 380x -
R9 390 -
R9 390x -
RX 470 - 21/24mhs -
RX 480 - 24/27mhs -

i think it is very important to see what is draining each GPU type and what is it's efficiency...

Played with: USB RedFury - BlackArrows Prospero X1/X3 - Butterfly Monarch- Spondoolies SP20E - Avalon 6 - Antminer U3/S3/S3+/C1/S5/S7 Batches 3-7-8 - Sfards SF100 - Innosilicon A2 Terminator - Alcheminer 96/256 - KNC Titan - Etherum Rigs

The AMD RX 470 should have the same hash rate as the RX 480 if the memory frequency is the same.

i bought 2 bundles for 6 GPUs (currently working with 2 R9 290) at your plataform but i'm having some issues when i'm trying to send work to NICEHASH

i put "REMOTE.CONF" in black and put some basic configuration:

maxgputemp 85
stratumproxy nicehash
proxywallet 3QfEMLR6rohc7WdUJ9nTUp2pgegJfycfZu
proxypool1 daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com:3353
proxypool2 daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353
flags --cl-global-work 8192 --farm-recheck 200
globalfan 100
globalcore 1100
globalmem 1300

but there is when something very weird happen:

cat /var/run/stats.file :
♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦
miner_instance:2
defunct:0
allowed:1
overheat:0
hash_stuck:0
outofmemory:0
pool_info:stratumproxy enabled

the stratumproxy keeps showing as ENABLE and because of this the ETHMINER is looking for a STRATUM server.

how can i solve this issue?

best regards and waiting for your prompt answer.
