Unfortunately, Sia is not on our list anymore. For other use-cases it's a great technology, it just isn't very practical for Lisk. We plan to integrate IPFS as the decentralized storage solution.

More information about our ICO will be released on the 6th. There won't be a fixed price per LISK. The price will be calculated at the end of the ICO and will be determined by the total sum we can collect.

To setup a Lisk address and get some free LISK:

1.) Go to https://login.lisk.io/.
2.) Click on "NEW ACCOUNT".
3.) Save the generated passphrase to a secure location, click on "NEXT STEP".
4.) Insert your saved passphrase and click on "GET STARTED".
5.) You are now logged in. On your left side is the navigation, there should be your Lisk address. Right now something like 432423435342342341C (in the future the C will be replaced with an L).
6.) Copy this address and paste it to the form on our faucet on https://faucet.lisk.io/. Then click on "Receive my free LISK".
7.) Within 10 seconds you shall receive 1000 LISK.

Attention! These are not real LISK, they are only on a testnet to try out our client and network. The real LISK will be distributed after the ICO, accordingly to the exchanged BTC, XCR or ETH.

Yes Olivier and I both come from the Crypti Foundation and announced to fork the project a few days ago. We will enhance Crypti's original code base and get the success it deserved all along.  

Edit: As you can see from Mike's response below: the Crypti Foundation is on our side by now. Thanks to the awesome mediation Mike did.

Thanks. Changed it the other day when they altered the Lisk sig so it was a bit different.

And good to hear that XCR will cooperate with Lisk. It really does make sense at this point to cooperate, as I wondered how XCR would even survive past the ICO otherwise. Now the thing I expect most people are interested in (well, I am anyway) is that btc/eth bonus. Guess we'll find out tomorrow-ish. It'll basically set the true value of XCR for the ICO, and probably the current XCR market price (minus a little) too .... easier then to figure out how much we'll want to invest in Lisk, how much we may wish to cash out.

First Lisk Community Get-Together on 7th February

When Olivier and I planned Lisk, we set out a vision that would lead us to being as transparent and inclusive as possible. Our first step towards this vision, is the opening of our public Trello board, on which everyone can track our progress and view our short to medium term plans.

We are now taking our resolutions to the next level with our biweekly community get-together. On these gatherings you can ask us everything you have on your mind and meet like-minded individuals within the Lisk community. These meetings will continue to reoccur until the Lisk main-net has launched, therefore until the end of March.

Introducing our Multi-lingual UI

As announced in our roadmap we are working on a multi-lingual user interface to better cater for users from all around the world. Right at launch in late March our client will be available in Chinese, French, German, and English. We will add more languages over time, especially Spanish and Russian.

We do have a Slack like forum on Rocket.chat, an open source platform. To join in, please go to https://crypti.chat/home and create an account. You may also download the desktop client for your OS. The server address for the client is https://crypti.chat .

We will be having a community meeting on Rocketchat to bring everyone up to speed on current status and plans forward. The meeting will be at 11:00 AM PST on Saturday February 6.

In summary, the Foundation will be supporting Lisk and encouraging people to participate. Crypti will also be maintained with bug fixes and delegate operation by the Foundation while the community can join in to operate delegates and continue development for those who prefer the original version. We will be posting an official notice with details in the next couple of days.

I will be there and answer all questions you have. See you Saturday at Crypti Chat and Sunday at Lisk Chat!
