When ever I do something illegal I use bitcoin   Doesn't everybody?

Yeah due to the pseudonymous of the bitcoin, everyone can do something illegal with it, it reminds me of a bomb tragedy in my country where the bomber threaten a mall and demanded to be paid with 100 bitcoins. Ultimately bitcoin become hot topic in all over channels but in negative way, finally people knew it, yeah they made free advertising for bitcoin. All we know that bitcoin has been used for illegal activities either in deep web or in real life.

i do not think that bitcoin will be use for illegal activity because bitcoin is crypto currency and crypto currency can be use for online shopping and now we can buy online product through bitcoin and bitcoin is really too much modern and stronger currency.

What makes you so sure that bitcoin is not used for illegal activites? Go into the deepweb and find out what currency do the drug lords or terrorists use there to buy their weapons and drugs. They use bitcoin as their currency because of its anonymous transactions. They use bitcoin to make them harder to track by authorities.

Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and cash all serve as opportunities for criminals as well, but society keeps them around due to their recognized net benefit. so using bitcoin on illegal activities will not harm bitcoin as much media  controlled by government.

the marketing of visa, mastercard, paypal etc is bettter and people feel like "this is an honest company" and the technology is safe and good. some bad people try to take advantage, but this is what bad people do. bitcoin does not have this marketing and is not a company, so people with no clue will always blame bitcoin itself, because someone must be to blame and it sure as hell will not be their own fault.

I think you nailed this is a problem of public relations, the problem is we cannot spent the money those companies do in marketing since there is not a CEO or someone with the absolute authority to do so because of the way bitcoin is designed and since that is not going to change then the trust in bitcoin will raise very slowly.

You are correct on that but if everyone in the dark web is using mixers for that reason, when you mix your coins, wouldn’t you end up with coins from another person that also did some illegal trades and the police will still be looking for the one in possession of those coins?

Its funny how the media keeps attacking bitcoin, since the first day media are trying to kill crypto currencies, something that is out of control of someone, they are scared what crypto might turn over the years. Even before the advent of money people have been engaging with all sort of illegal activities not to talk of now we have money which could even be traced then people resort to the use of cash to avoid trace and carry out their illegal activities. The ip address who are using the address it is still recorded this is what i think that is why they are still trace this s what i heard few weeks ago that someone can be still trace if you did not use the bitcoin mixer..  bitcoin mixer is giving to be more anonymous all your transactions..
