Advice from others can help because an addicted gambler can't think correctly because he is only thinking about on how he can win the game, on how he can recover his losses and on how he can make more money with gambling. But that won't work that easily. Addicted gamblers never think like you because what they are focused is winning with every of their bet and not have a good profit.
