it locks the 25000 so you dont spend mn collateral by accident and close mn

you must unlock every time start node

Yes, this is true. 25k bsd get locked to prevent unwanted spending and masternode disabling, unfortunately this lock also prevent masternode alias start. So to start a masternode alias you first need to unlock the collateral funds.

This thing wasn't reported in any of the guides i read about bsd masternodes, so it spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was the problem that was blocking my masternode start.

Hope this info could be useful to someone else.

Hi!
Please, help me!
Is it clear way to import BSD private key from paper wallet?
Thanks in advance!

It is easy. Just like you do it with the bitcoin client.

1- Ctrl+C your private key
2- Open the Bitsend Client
3- Open the console
4- Type:
Code:
importprivkey "Ctrl+V your priv key here"
(delete the ")
5- Let the BSD client get in sync.

And after this action I can spend BSD ?
Is this action safe for my BSD, that I already  hold at Bitsend Client?

I commend the BSD community for their steadfast support on this project which has been active for several years now and
yet it is still kicking! I know the core team and the community would still be strong in supporting this project within the
coming years. Good luck. Smiley

Yes it is safe and yes you can spend after your node is in sync with the network.

Is this project dead or not? I really don't understand...

It depends on what you mean for dead project...

Actually there are 244 active and enabled masternodes, but the transactions on the bsd Blockchain are really a small number. The developing probably it's still ongoing but in the last months there were really few news. The coin value has fall really very much... I remember when it was 20k satoshi per bsd.. now it"s only 100 sat per bsd... Anyhow almost every altcoin has fall this way in the last months.

What do you need to know to choose if this is a dead project?

my opinion is that the project is not completely dead, at least as long as there are active nodes and we can transfer the tokens, i remember with pleasure the long airdrop, of course maybe i had to sell when the values was high, anyway is a project to continue to follow in the long run...

Last wallet update was on 04/11/2018 as you can see on github releases: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/releases

The main developer (Limx dev) has been last active on this forum yesterday, but he made the last post on this topic on 19/07/2019. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1370307.msg51881997#msg51881997

But still the progress on bitsend BSD is slow. Its down to bottom and also not avaible in good exchanges. The highest volume it has in on the Livecoin exchange only.

Bitsend android wallet app is no more officially supported. There is guide on the second post of this topic that probably cover your situation. It seems a bit difficult to me and i'm not sure if it's working cause i didn't try it. Anyhow give it a look, and if you think it's good you could try.

It's at the ending of this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1370307.msg13942639#msg13942639

I hope you will be able to recover your coins.

The devs should better take a look at this link:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bsd/

That's the only block explorer I know for bsd and they are about to take it down. The project looks like its abandoned tbh. No news, no development, no word from the devs...

That's sad to hear , that to everything else and ended hosting on the block explorer site , but I think the team will still fix it, otherwise it will be quite sad with the project

since losing in cryptopia I've forgotten this project and the more gloomy after seeing this the more unclear what kind of future this project will be, maybe I'll forget forever

That's really worrying. That one is the only bsd explorer I know too.

I will write a pm to limx dev just to be sure he see this expiration problem. I hope it could be fixed, as a coin explorer is really needed and this one is also reported on bsd official site.

During a very long period in bearish market last year, Bitsend still had very good liquidity. I had a belief months ago that when the crypto market recovers from bottoms, Bitsend would have been one of the most impressive rallying altcoins. Unfortunately, by now it is obviously that Bitsend has neither yet impressively rallied nor rocketed. In contrast, its liquidity decreased unexpectedly, IMO.

Honestly, I just waited for my chance to invest in Bitsend, but latest months, looking at liquidity, I highly hesitated to do this and gave up my initial plans. I don't say negatively about Bitsend, but the team should reply to community questions, and actively communicate with community better.
