Sadly, most EU/US exchanges are around 1.18. asian ones 1.5, and 1.35 is average, I guess

Ripple brings me a steady profit. I like to trade this coin because of its strong fluctuations. But I still suppose it as a long-term investment that will bring the maximum profit in a few years.

If you like "strong fluctuations", more than 90% other coins do that better than Ripple

are you kidding me?according to the coinmarketcap rank, xrp is the second largeest trading volume crypto, which is only less than bitcoin, how can you see 'more than 90% other coins do that better than Ripple'

Ripple has a great use case and real world application,

Amazing that when this thread was created only last year in 2016 the market cap of Ripple was under $250m.

Now look at it, up hundreds of times in value!

I wonder what these coins will look like at the end of 2018 or even 2019.

Being the third cryptocurrency in terms of market capital and still a cheaper price at 1.36 as of this writing, it has a clear indication that this coin has long way to go in its market value. I speculate that this digital coin will hit 50$ at the end of 2018.

In my opinion XRP has a very bright future because it doesn't compete with bitcoin but rather helps its users in a way  With the current rate at which Ripple's price and marketcap is rapidly growing, I won't be surprised waking up one morning to see it at #1 spot above bitcoin cash. The value of RIpple will increase more when news will talk about Ripple. I feel bad right now because I didn't own a lot of Ripple because it is centralize coin.

Quite interesting XRP spike recently. But remember that the same happened with IOTA a month ago, actually it was even more severe - from -0.5 to 5 usd in a blink of an eye. Then all stopped and price stabilized around 3-something. XRP has a great trading/volume advantage because it is more widely spread in exchanges unlike IOTA; let's see

Thats very brave, meaning its cap would be more than 2 TRILLION dollars, 4 times more than whole crypto valuation at the moment...
that, or you're just taking numbers from thin air?

Probably. But most of these caps are out of thin air.  Bitcoin once upon a time also has 50Billion but look at it now, Its not impossible for ripples to have more than 2 Trillion when banks all over the world can afford to buy billions. If all its technology are going to be adopted years later, we'll not going to see just 2 billion.

If this was your wildest expectation, then you either must not have been in crypto for very long or you are still one of the most sensible people left in this forum! Have you not been reading some of the wilder predictions for Ripple? I have seen 10k even!

Sadly, most EU/US exchanges are around 1.18. asian ones 1.5, and 1.35 is average, I guess

That is some heavy arbitrage. You should buy all your Ripple from EU then, and wait for them to catch up with the prices of Asian ones. Do not worry, it is small change. You just hold and wait for four or five big dollars.

What kind of long-term projects (roadmap) they have to say "yes it is really long-term investment" ? İf you are buying xrp and can see the speculation spreading around it due to uninformed investors, it is a good investment Smiley most of people annoying me when they are repeating same think like a parrot.

Stolen from xrpchat for education purposes
Presentation from companies below

Both Dimension Data and Everis are owned by NTT Data.  Below are some basic facts about all three companies.

NTT Data

$14.6 billion in annual revenue
120,000 employees
HQ in Tokoyo
Dimension Data

$7.5 billion in annual revenue
30,000 employees
HQ in Johannesburg
Everis

$1 billion in annual revenue
19,000 employees
Offices in 16 countries
The LinkedIn profiles of all three presenters can be accessed via below.

https://www.linkedin.com/in/josepalvarezperez/?ppe=1
https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-van-den-heever-4042281/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/arruebarrena/
The webinar was very informative.  The presenters made an important point that Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, also likes to make.  For the financial services sector, there are very few production ready blockchains.  Also, based on the presentation, I concluded the other production ready blockchains for the financial services sector compliment, rather than compete with, Ripple.

Below is the current state of the RTGS systems.

Below is what NTT Data and their subsidiaries think the landscape will look like.  XRP is key to "settle cross-currency transactions in real-time".  Notice they do not expect critical mass adoption until 2020-2025.

With the ILP, they also expect additional use cases of Ripple and XRP to develop.

The below slide shows how banks settlement systems can be linked with ILP.

Also, the list of those who attended can be accessed (if the attendee chose to make their profile public). Below are some of the companies who had representatives attend the webinar.

ADP
American Express
BNY Mellon
Dell
EY
Fidelity
GE
Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Honeywell
IBM
Intel
Microsoft
Northern Trust
PwC
RBC Royal Bank
Red Hat
Shell International
Standard Bank
SunTrust Bank
TD Bank
There are no guarantees with any of this, but as JoelKatz has said, making a bet on Ripple and XRP is a smart bet.

Lastly, I do not understand why people criticize Ripple for XRP not being used as much everyone would like.  Or why they were irate when they found out Ripple was charging for their software.  Which would be better to have?  A free blockchain technology that has been adopted by 0 banks but requires the use of their useless native currency/token.  Or a blockchain technology that has been adopted by 100 banks and counting (according to the presentation) in which they must pay for, and whose native currency/token has the potential to revolutionize an entire industry.

Heyyy boooiiio 1melyun

You can look at this as a kind of roadmap Wink

I did not even realize the scale of this project before. Now I will buy this coin and will keep it for several years. If the creators have such ambitious plans, then keeping the ripple is the best strategy
