But with all the good news why are XRP not moving up faster?

There had been so much sellers taking advantage of it when the price is just not moving. What do these sellers know that some of us didn't know? Do they know the price will drop sooner which they plan to buy back again and to sell at a price price again?

Indeed, I thought Consensus news will drive price up a bit, but instead its one of rare coins on Poloniex thats in red

Then again, almost whole second half of 2017 was like that

Don't worry Ripple price will be move in coming weeks But if you want huge pump then you will have to wait till december.
Yeah you are right many positive news published but there is no moving in price.

I hope that I will see $ 2 a coin in 2018. It seems to me that this is a realistic forecast. I believe in this coin. Last year, the coin was very volatile.

Actually, its price moved only twice, and was among least volatile coins...price was pretty stable for almost whole 2nd half 2017

Me, I'm expecting a ripple price of coming back to $6 dollars when the market returns. Right now, market is still uncertain, waiting for the big players to come back in for trading. I'm still buying some more ripple as it is still staying below $1 dollar mark. I think its a good price to buy.

https://www.ibm.com/blogs/blockchain/2018/05/great-day-to-blockchain-positive-contributions-to-the-industry/

"Ripple announced an initiative, called Xpring, aimed at providing entrepreneurs and their businesses with support for developing XRP-related projects.
Xpring will invest in, incubate, acquire and provide grants to use XRP and the XRP ledger. It’s another way that companies are encouraging
entrepreneurs to create solutions that haven’t been considered before, setting the stage for networks and ecosystems to work together in revolutionary ways."

Sorry but I am pessimistic about the price. Look at the chart and you will see that it increased x20 last year in May and then dropped back again in 6 months. Price of ripple increased again x20 in December-January and now it is in falling trend and I expect it drop down to initial price. Every increase is a selling opportunity until it finds the dip

There is a lot of correcting to do. Banks (R3) for the next years still pays $0.0085 per coin before dumping it on exchanges.

XRP is not needed, not wanted and serves no purpose.

"The existing Visa credit card network processes about 15 million Internet purchases per day worldwide. Bitcoin can already scale much larger than that with existing hardware for a fraction of the cost. It never really hits a scale ceiling."  Satoshi Nakamoto, April 2009          Avoiding taxes is totally legal if you consider and respect the law.

Ripple is a pump and dump group I think, this coin doesn't have any future it seems looking at its past trend after the high price crash. Hope the team need to work very hard to bring back Ripple to its highest price within this year or else it may stay at where it is now. Only the market cap is high for this coin and with that alone we cannot expect a good price.

Lol, in case you have forgotten R3 and Ripple sue each other over the sale of xrp $0.0085 a piece.

Banks have no use for the pump and dumps like xrp they need stable price.
More than 200 banks now on board Corda Blockchain from R3 another 2 big banks (HSBC, ING) just joined. https://hacked.com/r3s-blockchain-corda-used-by-hsbc-and-ing-for-the-first-time/

and another one (Commerzbank): https://ibsintelligence.com/ibs-journal/major-german-bank-completes-blockchain-pilot-with-sap-and-r3/
and National Bank of Egypt: https://btcmanager.com/national-bank-of-egypt-joins-200-financial-institutions-in-the-r3-blockchain-alliance/

Already on board the likes of:
Bank of America, (used to be on ripple now changed side) Merrill Lynch, CITI, Credit Suisse, DBS, HSBC, J,P,Morgan, MUFG, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UOB, SGX, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)

Oh, so they lost the first round and now have to be heard in New York of which ripple had this to say:
Quote
As the San Francisco-based Ripple claimed, having to bring the case before a New York court would cause the company "irreparable injury."

If you would do more research it would sound more logic to you that everyone is talking about Interoperability. Where Interledgerprotocol comes into play. And guess whats the most efficient way to send transactions trough a DECENTRALIZED LEDGER wich can handle TRILLIONS of transactions? XRP!

If R3 ever wins the law suit , it will come with HEAVY RESTRICTIONS like Ripple DOES WITH ALL THEIR PARTNERS. So no selling or dumping like you would love to say Smiley

Standard Chartered?

Here eat some facts @Bae

https://www.finextra.com/newsarticle/32048/standard-chartered-to-extend-use-of-ripplenet-to-more-countries

https://www.gtreview.com/news/asia/standard-chartered-and-mufg-bank-launch-ripplenet-pilot/

Why is it so important to you to let Ripple and XRP look bad to the uneducated Eye?
Youare pouring more of an opinion in instead of facts

Do you think it's worth to take Ripple at the current price? After all, after correction Ripple did not collapse to the bottom, and fell only two times. Can it sink to the bottom again? I would like to buy it cheap!

Ripple, XRP, and Blockchain Week in NYC
Blog Location:  https://xrphodor.wordpress.com/2018/05/18/ripple-xrp-and-blockchain-week-in-nyc/

As Blockchain Week in NYC ends, you'll want to read my wrap of events affecting XRP and Ripple.

This blog includes a fascinating "buzz" info-graphic about what people were talking about the most in the first two days in NYC. In addition, I analyze comments from two different Federal Reserve leaders that gave speeches this week and commented about cryptocurrency.

Also included is information about Ripple's latest business deals and developments, including MUFG, Xpring, and Coil.

I hope you enjoy the read - please leave any feedback below.

Thank you & Sincerely,
-Hodor

Revolut is about to announce Ripple. Western Union may give good news also. Every week, I hear a new bank that try Xrapid technology. This month will be Ripple’s month. If bitcoin go ahead and reach over 10k, Ripple may see 2$. I believe until the end of june, we will see 4$ in Ripple.
it is possible that this will be the case. I advise you not to forget to set an alert in your analyzer cryptoporticus of the coin is that, for example, in FinTab.io to make it easy. Grin Grin
in such applications, usually a very long time updated rate and can be very late and do not have time to close the deal. Therefore, it is safer to do everything in person and not through the application.
