I believe ripple will be mostly like now. Under 1 usd. Sometimes going up to 3-4, maybe 5 if lucky.

Let me give you a hint:

XRP strives to replace fiat money held in nostro/vostro accounts
there is 27 000 billion $$$ in those accounts
most XRP will ever be is 99,992,075,773 currently, and number will decrease over time

do the math

So you think XRP will go up?

it already is growing up. i'm a long term investors of XRP and had been supporting after i bought at a low price. it went up to $3 last year but was also pulled down like all the coins but it had now started to rise. if it continues to do so while you were spreading fud against it lately, that means it isn't working. you might as well buy xrp just to dump it whenever you double your investment.

Ripple is hiking with the help of banks. Ripple adopted by UniCredit, UBS and Santander and rapidly increasing adopted by many hit banks.
Many coins have growth potential, Ripple is no exception. The main thing will wait until the market of crypto currency will recover and the trend will change.

Why Consensus is better than Proof of Work

Blog Location:  https://xrpcommunity.blog/consensus-model-vs-proof-of-work/

Consensus is better than Proof of Work.

When it comes to all categories of strengths for a decentralized cryptographic network, XRP is stronger than Bitcoin in every category:  Double-spend prevention, security, censorship-resistance, dependability, scalability, and settlement speed.

The fact that we're even still talking about Bitcoin in 2018 is a testament to how effective protectionist market interference can be; but XRP doesn't care - it is being adopted at scale by real businesses for real global commerce.  There are a myriad of reasons for this, but in this blog, I focus in on one specific aspect of XRP: its transaction validation model and how it compares to Bitcoin.

I hope you enjoy!

Sincerely,
-Hodor

Never buy them FOMO  Grin

That was incredible uphill push, but you can always count on fact that people will want to cash out
after that, at least until crypto get status that stock market has today...then again, it'll become
equally boring then, too

This coin used to look the real star during the start of 2018 but in last six months this has just got half what the price was last year and now almost become stagnant and not rising much. Some how this coin can become big or will be next ETH seems to be really difficult.

There is a lot of correcting to do. Banks (R3) for the next years still pays $0.0085 per coin before dumping it on exchanges.
- buttshit-

XRP is not needed, not wanted and serves no purpose.

Wait a second brooo..... xrp is not needed, why does r3 want XRP if its not "needed" ?

Lol, in case you have forgotten R3 and Ripple sue each other over the sale of xrp $0.0085 a piece.

Banks have no use for the pump and dumps like xrp they need stable price.
More than 200 banks now on board Corda Blockchain from R3 another 2 big banks (HSBC, ING) just joined. https://hacked.com/r3s-blockchain-corda-used-by-hsbc-and-ing-for-the-first-time/

and another one (Commerzbank): https://ibsintelligence.com/ibs-journal/major-german-bank-completes-blockchain-pilot-with-sap-and-r3/
and National Bank of Egypt: https://btcmanager.com/national-bank-of-egypt-joins-200-financial-institutions-in-the-r3-blockchain-alliance/

Already on board the likes of:
Bank of America, (used to be on ripple now changed side) Merrill Lynch, CITI, Credit Suisse, DBS, HSBC, J,P,Morgan, MUFG, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UOB, SGX, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)

Oh, so they lost the first round and now have to be heard in New York of which ripple had this to say:
Quote
As the San Francisco-based Ripple claimed, having to bring the case before a New York court would cause the company "irreparable injury."

Yet, R3 will go bankrupt very soon if they don't get that "worthless" XRP in court. Ironic, isn't it?  Grin

http://fortune.com/2018/06/07/blockchain-firm-r3-is-running-out-of-money-sources-say/

"Those familiar with R3’s culture and operations repeated a common refrain: The company styled itself as a technology startup but acted like a bank. This dynamic meant that R3 acted more like a member of Wall Street or a plush consulting company rather than a hungry upstart. In retrospect, its early success may represent a decision by banks to get a taste of a new trend—blockchain—rather than any real bet on R3’s business or technology.

“Instead of hiring tech people, they started hiring bankers and guys in suits who don’t know much about technology,” said a former employee.

The challenge for R3 now will be to prove its skeptics wrong and create a revenue stream to keep it afloat in coming years. The two former employees—one citing familiarity with financial figures shared with investors during the recent fund-raising round—said this was a long shot, and predicted the company would run out of capital by the first quarter of 2019."

Although ripple is quiet with its announcements now. I'm sure ripple infrastructure are continually being spread world wide. Like many exchanges now, you can change ripple to local fiat money together with ethereum, litecoin.

http://www.coindesk.com/imf-just-finished-first-high-level-meeting-blockchain/
In total, 14 participants attended a panel leading up to a closed-door session with IMF managing director Christine Lagarde, seven of whom represented companies in the blockchain industry.

Attendees included Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, Jill Carlson, head of market strategy at Chain, Chris Church, chief business development officer at Digital Asset, and Ryan Zagone, director of regulatory relations at Ripple, among others.

While the meeting itself wasn't public, the panel was both streamed by the IMF and live-tweeted, marking what panelist Alex Tapscott, author of "Blockchain Revolution", described to CoinDesk as a shift in the way global policy should be determined going forward.
*
Initially announced in March, the advisory group also consists of members from the blockchain industry including Chris Larsen, the executive chairman of Ripple, Adam Ludwin from Chain, Blythe Masters from Digital Asset, Patrick Murck from the Harvard Berkman Klein Center, and Marco Santori, partner at Cooley LLP.

Tapscott described the overall attitude of the meeting as "very positive", estimating 80% of the conversation focused on blockchain, while 15% centered on machine learning and 5% covered other technologies.

I think it's a stupid idea fraud this field of work because it is not stable though and in many ways you can play. The proper businessman will get all the benefits.

It will never be more than $2 again just like many people are saying in here, it is something almost IMPOSSIBLE to see happening. Not even if the team can reach what they are looking for, no way.

There are so many good and bad speculations about Ripple these past few days. Its not just an ordinary altcoin and being on the top3 in the list, it only prove that its stronger than the other small time token. It will moon in the near future so make sure that you have lots of XRPs after 2years.

Accumulate Bitcoin. The bottom is in or near it.

Ripple is a pretty good altcoin.
But the price is not too high.
I see the benefits of Ripple is the speed of transactions that only takes a few seconds, and technology Ripple is being investigated by many banks.
The sophistication of Ripple is a Ripple advantage that is not owned by another altcoin.

Man, I cannot call Ripple an altcoin as it is the centralized currency. I am sure that it will show the growth this year, but as for me, it is not the best choice.

By definition, its more like token than coin...but do you disregard all ICOs where devs keep some coins for themselves (basically, all of them)?
Plus, it has developed some cool tech

Not true. no way happen. Ripple is just bank token, and i think it is quite overvalued at all. But ETH is cryptocurrency, and platform's useful and developing. Ripple is not even close .

But Ripple is finite, only 100 billion and deflatory, while ETH is infinite, no upper limit. Also, ETH is totally restricted to solidity, while
Ripple supports numerous programming languages, and common ones, instead new one that you have to learn for ETH
