[XRP] Ripple Speculation

XRP is taking a little damage from this BTC pump. Even though XRP is more than five years old, it's acting like a typical shitcoin right now.

XRP is third biggest crypto in the world by market capital.

It is not performing yo-yo style ups and downs like ETH and BTC has been in the past. It is a stable crypto.

I cannot agree that XRP is stable, it was the most pump coin in 2017 but it's only carrying $.40 price now while it's ATH was $4 if I'm not mistaken.
It has its pump and dump in the past also, nothing is really stable in this market IMO.

The ATH was a momentary $3.40, but let's not blame people's greed and FOMO to a "pump and dump" scheme.
People sent every coin absurdly high, especially XRP was the top performing one (or rather, the most crazily performing one) and everyone was punished for their thoughtless actions.

Now we've seen the opposite of this, which is extremely low prices. Again people are selling their XRP for free when their value should be over $1.00 after the technological improvements and the deals Ripple has scored.

And Bitcoin ATH was around $20,000 and yet a few weeks ago it was around $4000 and now it is $8700 - so that cannot be labelled stable. I could apply the same analogy to many other crypto to give my opinion on what I consider stable or not.

XRP has no reason to be over $1, it is your opinion that it should be. As an investor who purchased many years ago I have seen a profit of many fold, I would be happy for XRP to end the 2019 year with a price of $0.45 while the other crypto around see their price fluctuate between hundreds and in the case of Bitcoin thousands of US$ in a matter of weeks with wild-west buying and selling - it is XRP that does not suffer on that scale.

For me it has been a great investment but others have their own experiences and opinions.

XRP goes up when all alts go up, and it goes down when all alts go down. This is not a very stable behaviour bro! 

That's volatility, and it's not fun to invest in a stable coin as it could not give us a good profit.
As an investor, it's a dream for everyone to see the massive pump of XRP in the 2017 again and we want to witness that this year hopefully.
It's just a dream for now, but crypto is moving will with lots of surprises, so we can still expect a great future, we just need to trust by holding.

Big things will happen IF somebody starts to use xrp to settle payment. It may or not happen, worth the wait in my opinion given all the big players involved.

They were claiming about banks going to be using XRP, didn't they?

Those weren't proven yet but if for instance, XRP price may really go more than its ATH. $0.45 would be realistic but that would be too low to see when we know for the fact that its price reached up to $3 last 2017. I guess it all depend to the price of BTC just as how altcoins rely to the BTC price.

There are also company which are not banks really, but something like facilitators like western union, MasterCard ecc those can be quite promising as well and start using xrp sooner, peraphs.

I searched posts about XRP here on bitcointalk.In 2016 just before bull run when XRP was 0.006 USD,people were saying it will never go up... what a LOL.
People have tendency to jump in coins which were already pumped,and when XRP will pump they will cry again that they missed train.

Xumm... a great app with a terrible name! Well, sometimes the terrible names just stick and are easy to remember, so I guess it's OK !
It's interesting that their first choice for a name was 'Xign', but it was previously used by JPMorgan!

But it seems to be the only thing someone would need to transact with XRP and maybe with any cryptocurrency overall. As they described it in the article,
"We're building something my mother could use; and maybe even would want to use."

Well, that's what one can achieve by being an organized team.
Full centralization can lead to tyranny and full decentralization can lead to chaos; I see Ripple standing in a balanced middle and enjoying the good sides from both sides.
I just hope it won't take from the bad sides of both sides as well!
