The escrow account was unlocked (smart contract) but Ripple is not going to sell like previous this amount of XRP to the market (OTC or programmatic sales). Pls, read the quarterly report.

A change.org petition launched at the end of August, entitled “Ripple Must Increase the “Dumping of XRP,” has attracted more than 200 signatures as of Sept. 5.

For those who might have not got it, this is sarcasm! We don't really ask for "more selling"! x)
But people should really realize this is not as bad as some people make it sound. XRP doesn't create new coins like BTC/ETH and almost all other coins do. Instead there's a constant supply which is controlled by a smart contract.
Comparing the supply flow of XRP with BTC and ETH, it's not that much different. Some months it's lower, some months it's higher.

This argument of 'they will use Ripple but not XRP' has been going on for years. A couple of years ago I would post lengthy explanations as to why it is absolutely the case that XRP will be used. But I got tired of posting these explanations over and over again.

Yes they will use XRP. A small amount of research will reveal why. I wish people would look into it a bit more.

You know, you can use any vehicle on the roads. Ask yourself why the roads are full of cars rather than say skateboards. Why do people choose cars, when they can use any vehicle? Why will people use XRP on Ripple when they can just use a different coin?

Even though I'm an XRP believer, I researched the matter with Kitao-san since I know some Japanese and I decided to look for a Japanese article regarding this.
So I figured his name would be 北尾 and I finally found this article and a nice image,


The image shows that their partnership on creating SBI Ripple Asia is consisted of two shareholders, 60% SBI and 40% Ripple.
It also says something about a $50 million investment regarding XRP (on the right side).
