the sec can act on the company on USA not on what it has produced and that 95% of customers (who are not Americans) own. They are certainly not stock exchanges. Then, if the SEC also wants to regulate casinos, what credibility will it ever have in the future? But then, since it would be a share, why didn't it close on the downside? What safeguards would the sec provide?

Trump lost. Shouldn't they change the head of the sec soon? or someone is trying to be reconfirmed and then fires these missiles to scare others? The Usa, not the sec, can order! and then what is the significance of an American decision on an international exchange? it means that American investors will go to invest where there is no sec. Dubai Papua Switzerland etc. Crypto is an opportunity for everyone, not a threat. It is sad to see the Usa hindering when they should favor, just as they did in the 1990s with the nasdaq. But it's a big deal already, if I'm not mistaken, they have a big concentration in the US, so their market will be affected. You know, any news involving the US is a big deal since they are the leading nation, and we've seen the dump due to FUD or whatever you call it.

Holy shit I did NOT see that coming! Whoever sold futures or options for XRP must be making a killing, leverage sites I saw people making 10x profits betting against Ripple. Incredible turn of events and just the sickest headaches for those thinking this centralized coin will be doing well in the future.

Even though Ripple will fight the allegations and charges in Court what is clear is that this will take a long time before any resolution is found and with an appeal pending immediately regardless of who wins after the verdict is announced, it will take even longer for things to become clear.

Most probably the team are just manipulating the price for now since they are holding a huge amount of XRP, but you are right, to what extent, we know that manipulation does only work in short term, so like I said this would not last.

People are not worried ?how can they put funds to other altcoin when the exchange are freezing trade or even delisting XRP?
 But Don't underestimate the capacity of XRP ,this is still the rank3 cryptocurrency and even how bad news comes from one place to another yet the Maintaining price is 18-22 cents Meaning the value did not drop that bad because even before the Bull run starts XRP price stays in 23-26 cents so having this meaning the drop is just 20% in totality.
