Well, it is depending on the intention. If they want to make quick profit then it is better to get the coins as early as possible. As the last ICOs has shown (including Lisk btw) in the first minutes of trading, the prices are much higher then hours later. This is probably the reason why so many people are begging for the bounties.
If they would be long-term investors then you are right. But I doubt!

With all the problems you have gone through and in spite of everything , I think you had not follow the proper instruction of liking the facebook page of wavesplatform. It is really a mind boggling how you can't redeem it. I think you did not do the required task to get the bounty. Better try your luck in trading and you may short it for sure it would dump before it will become stable. Move on if you don't have that facebook link in your ICO page. Man a lot of people have suggested and I don't know if you really follow simple instructions , but honestly you screwed up during the ICO phase

Waves is decentralised Ripple is not, it's going to overtake Ripple soon.

With Waves you will have combination of many good projects, built on innovative base, fiat assets and asset-asset trading, working with payment providers from the start. I don't say this about many projacts but Waves if devs deliver and patience investors going to be the second 3rd one to achive a billion marketcap.

Am I understanding things correctly in saying that there are 85 million coins available... that is to say that upon launch waves will be listed on coinmarketcap with an available supply of 85 million coins as 15 million coins are being held back for bounties, strategic partners etc as per page 1 of this thread? Or does this not make a difference to the fact that 100 million coins were issued thus making the total supply 100 million coins at launch irrespective of whats been held back?

In other words... do we work on the crowdsale number of coins (85 million) or do we work on total tokens issued (100 million) ?

This is my opinion. Every crypto assets and currencies with POS algorithm would list ALL the shares it has (also called premined) once it hit the market . Be it for share holders, bounties or developers.

i think the calculation depends on the total supply which in our case is 100 million waves not matter what has been sold , distributed free or held by the team.

Its alwaya 100 million. Some of the bounties from 15 million is already being distributed for facebook , twitter signature campaign etc.

All people of the dev team are providing constant updates from time to time. You won't miss anything. They said the withdrawal will be allowed at the beginning of the next week. It should be on Monday.
