not wanting to be a bitch, and always looking to invest in innovation, i still have a block in my mind as to how Waves will achieve market adoption. I can see it clearly with Lisk (and why i invested there) but not yet with Waves. this is due diligence and not FUD.

I'd like to comment on IOU thing. It's not deadly of course, but not nice and not really welcome. We won't have it, Waves tokens will be withdrawable right after the ICO ends, and tradable.
are you anticipating that Yobit (and other exchanges) will invest in your ICO?

I find that it is a great initiave from you to make the WAVES available right after the end of ICO. That's a nice move ! Waiting is not what many people prefer !

So how exactly are you going to prevent IOUs to be traded during the crowdsale? Not possible I imagine?
No one can prevent IOUs from trading really, before or after launch. They can drastically reduce the incentives to do so, however. This is the case when ICO tokens are not locked-up after the ICO and the tokens are free to trade after the ICO. The longer these get locked up (e.g. see Augur), the more avenues to try and create IOUs and the more probability of scams propagating. After ICO we can https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1387944.msg14476222#msg14476222

Or something like that?

If there is an IOU during the crowdsale it's a total scam since the exchange will not know how many WAVES they have yet.

We expect to be able to enable investors to withdraw their tokens to the Waves addresses when the ICO ends. There will be a lot of updates in meantime about platform, partnerships etc. and everyone can follow progress easily during that period.

We want to have main net after ICO ends. It has many advantages, one of them - no IOU situations.

Doesn't the IOU hurt the coin?
In the case of ETH, apparently it didn't. Only people it hurt in this case were the ones who bought the IOU's at the inflated price.

Noone knows atm - The remaining 85 million tokens will be distributed in lCO procedure to participating users based on their contribution in the total amount of the raised funds.

Let's see if the LISK team can deliver like ETH. Then the IOU will have only helped LISK. WAVES appears to have all their ducks in order, well thought out with much precision. Eagerly awaiting their testnet launch to see if they have the goods.
